Is it worth it even though we are eating at two signature dining restaurants? Would the RO with to let's be better or am I still saving? The is my first time! AH so excited.

Thanks.

Our S/P/D for 2 adults , 3 juniors, 3 kids ,and 1 infant at All star music 9 days 8 nights $5056.64 :cool1: Saved us $1189.68 :cool1:

S/P/D Mar 5 -12 POR Garden View 2 A 3 kids (well Disney Adults 14, 15 and a 2 yr old), 4 day Tickets Regular DP $3594

S/P/D for our family of 4 adults Feb. 23 for six nights in the CR Tower is ... $6197.04. Some deal, geesh! No thanks. Took the 35% RO instead and skipped the dining plan. (Even if we added the dining plan to our RO deal, it would still be $410 cheaper than the S/P/D!)

2 questions

Do all the features have to be used on this trip? Our booking says 2 vouchers for Disney Quest
2 vouchers for mini golf
Can we use those vouchers on another trip?

And
Of course I forgot the other question... Lol

2nd question
What are the Extra Magical Features?

Yes, they will have your trip dates printed on them so you'll need to use them. Usually the package includes the DQ vouchers, mini golf rounds, and some coupons and discounts.

Last year the SPD deal had a phone call included from either Ariel, Sebastian, or Lumiere. Maybe they'll do that again this year. That's the only thing I can think of not knowing the context of where it says that.

The discount is roughly equivalent to Adults and Juniors (ages 10-17) paying the Child price for tickets and dining plan. Your package must include at least 3 nights stay and 2-day tickets, plus a dining plan for the length of your stay.

Value resorts can be booked with any dining plan, including the Quick Service Dining Plan. All other resorts must include the regular Dining Plan or Deluxe Dining Plan.

Offer excludes Villas at Grand Floridian, Art of Animation Resort, campsites and 3-bedroom villas. As with all Disney promotional discounts, some resorts, room types and date combinations will not be available. Its important to be flexible if you want to book a discounted package.

Book by 12/31/13.

I am VERY confused by this. I just spoke with reservations to run the numbers for this deal or room only. She was adamant that what is written here is NOT what the plan discount is for Stay/Play/Dine. I asked if she could explain what the discount was then and she couldn't, just not this. Did I get an EXTREMELY uninformed CM or what?! I asked if she could pull up my triple split reservation to check and see if this deal or a room only would be better for my family of four since my son will be 10. She proceeded to tell me they don't do things like that because each promo is different. I've always called asked for assistance with my Disney math. :furious:

Unfortunately it doesn't seem (or at least I have not read) a definitive formula for the S/P/D discount. I can tell you that I did my initial estimate assuming child prices for tickets and dining and the quoted package price was within $50 (actually $50 less) so I was happy with math when I booked.

Both the offers are available for online booking -- is that feasible for you to play with the online options and then call to rebook once you determine which is better for you?

And never mind. Called back five minutes later and got a very helpful CM who worked out all the numbers. She commented the only time SPD is good if you are staying at a moderate. Otherwise always go for the room discount on Deluxes. If the RO discount is 35% as it was this year for my week next year I am saving approximately $859.:woohoo:

I couldn't play around with the numbers for Yacht Club because all the rooms are sold out online. She said they'll open more closer to the date. That was how I did my estimate too but wanted to see if I was on spot or not. The airfare is really high at the moment for our dates and trying to get a sense of the cost of the trip if a discount comes up.:scratchin

WL Woods view, bunk bed 2/1 thru 2/11 3 Disney Adults, 1 child, quoted at SPD of 6198, RO discount package 5992.42. This is with base tickets and regular DP.

WL woods view is $600 per night at a discounted rate???? Guess we've seen the last of that one :(

I read that as it was a full room/tix/dining package, but the discount was based on a RO discount rather than the SPD. Which doesn't surprise me as RO is often a better deal at the deluxe level. We've done the same before.

I know we can normally pick our park tickets up a few days before our package actually starts. Can this still be done with the P/S/D package? We are staying at POR from 1/5-1/8 with 4 day tickets. We will be staying offsite from 1/2-1/4. Can I get 6 day park tickets and pick them up on the 3rd or will I just have to keep my 4 day tickets and pick them up on the 5th?
