~*~The OFFICIAL 2014 Dates Thread - Come Join Us!~*~

5, but one will be under 3; and luckily our girls are young enough that we don't have all the drama getting ready (well, we have drama, lol, but no make up, hair, that stuff); and more than likely the 3 girls can share a bed - our youngest will almost be 3 so I don't think we will need a pack and play or her.

Like the two PPs, I was going to suggest either one of the Port Orleans resorts for you. They both have pros and cons to consider.

POR is much larger, and if they put you in AB it can leave you walking quite a long way to get back to the restaurant/FC. That being said, I think the FC at POR is better, offers more choices, more seating than FQ. It also has multiple pools and the boat service to DTD, surrey bike rental onsite, horse-drawn carriage ride, etc.

FQ is very small and compact. No matter where they put you, you're looking at a very short walk to get back to the FC. That being said, the FC leaves a lot to be desired, IMHO ... and only you can decide if the décor would be off-putting to your kids. :scared: You do have one central bus stop that's easy to get to at FQ, along with boat service to DTD. Of course, you can always walk over to POR to use their restaurants/pools/etc., but with three little ones in tow, I don't know how often you'll be wanting to do that.

I guess I'm not much help, but hopefully I've given you something to consider. Perhaps others who have stayed at the other mods would be willing to weigh in on their experiences there. :goodvibes

Great - so you got what you wanted! :yay: I've been thinking of looking into WH myself since we're doing a 10-day stay now. :scratchin

Just thought I'd pass on - I saw a new PIN for stay, play and dine at kid prices. My SIL rec'd an email this morning - dates are for 1/5/14 to 3/2/14 and 3/16/14 to 4/12/14.

Maybe if they go, I can take the kids and be back on the 2014 list... (although DH mentioned going again next year even though we're sneaking in the surprise trip next week so who knows....)

Thank you all for the input! We are looking at both Port Orleans and CSR - no CB simply be they only have full size beds. We have discussed ghetto a preferred building since some of the mods are so spread out; even preferred who'd be a lot cheaper than what we were looking at when we were thinking deluxe. My husband is the one who worries about the space (not that I want to be cramped - but hey, it's Disney - I would be fine at a value)! I asked him to look over everything and decode soon if he was okay with it or if I need to start looking off site.

Is this something for the public? Where? Our dates fall into the second set of dates you posted.

Oh, just saw it was an email. Maybe eventually it will be released to everyone.

Most of the mods have queen beds, right? We did my 5 year old, my 3 year old and my sister's 7 year old in a queen bed easily when we were at my mom's last weekend. I don't think you'd have an issue in any of the mods. I'm going to suggest POFQ just because it's smaller and more compact, less walking to busses, etc;

Good luck either way

I did a bit of an itinerary overhaul last night, the budget was creeping up a little higher than I wanted it to be. When we travel in the winter I like to have a decent sized emergency fund, snow storms happen at the most inconvenient times. It came down to cutting a fair bit of our dining or cutting the family photo session at the Boardwalk. Dining lost. I'm sure I would have enjoyed those meals but the pictures will be something I can keep forever and we haven't had a good family session done in over 2 years. My now 3 year old was an infant last time.

We kept: CRT breakfast, Chef Mickey's, Disney Jr breakfast, Tusker House breakfast and O'hana dinner.

Changed: BoG dinner to BoG lunch so I can use a QS credit during our DP portion of the trip

Lost: Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic package, Cape May breakfast on our departure day, dinner in WS for date night (I was seriously hoping for the new Moroccan restaurant). Instead of dinner we'll just do drinks and snacks as we wander.

16 more days and I can make those ADRs!

I'm guessing the disney jr breakfast is Hollywood and Vine? If so, it used to be part of the Fantasmic package (fr lunch anyway, and characters were still there) - you could always change to lunch to get the package. Just a thought!

We were at Lake Berkley, not WH, but for a 10 day stay a condo or a villa would be fantastic. Sitting by the private pool with a glass of wine after dinner (kids in bed in our case) was the perfect way to end the day. :thumbsup2

What is the Play, Stay and Dine deal? I didn't get a PIN :sad1: but I'm curious if it's a hint for what the Jan/Feb people can expect as our Winter discount.

Really? I need to look into that then. Thanks:flower3:

Yes we are there 14 nights. We have a private pool. The nighttimes will be heavenly!

No problem! And I think snacking around the world showcase for date night sounds awesome! I really want to do that next time, but since we moved our dates up my youngest wont be 3 - isn't that the age for the kids clubs?

I guess I should have included we'll be celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary and my 29th birthday! Well be there 9/13-9/21 my birthday is 9/7 and anny is 9/27 so we will celebrate both!!

Hello, and welcome to our group! We're glad you decided to join us! :goodvibes

An Ariel tattoo? You don't by chance have a pic of that you'd want to share, do you? :teeth:

I'll get you added on to the list for September. Meanwhile, feel free to join the conversation so we can get to know you! :hyper2:

I do have a pic... I have no idea how to post it though!

I got a pin today for 35% off deluxe, 30% off mod, or 25% off value (excluding AoA LM) for 1/5-3/2 and 3/16-4/12 of next year! Slightly different than the above and not as exciting but we're a party of two so the other wouldn't apply anyway.

Called to apply it to my reservation but its not loaded in the system yet . Hopefully bugs will be worked out tomorrow although getting a free dining pin would be even better!

I got one for the same dates, but it was only for 25% off deluxe and villas, 20% off mod, and 15% off values. :(

pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: Don't mind me, just spreading as much PIN pixie dust as I can. That 35% is looking mighty nice. pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Last thing I read said 4 but they'll allow 3 if they're potty trained. She'll be about 3.5 when we go but she's been potty trained since February. Now I just need her to grow 2", I figure if I can get her to 39.5" barefoot a new pair of shoes can cover the rest.

With 3 kids it might be cheaper to get a sitter through KNO then to use the kids clubs though.

Has anyone done a split stay with ADRs? Does the 180+10 apply for the whole trip or do I have to book the second half ADRs at the 180 day for when we check in to the BC? Did that make any sense?:rotfl:

That's a great pin! Wish they would send it to me!

Can anyone explanation the other pin that was mentioned (kids play dine free)?

Have you used KNO before? I should look into it - I am so nervous leaving the girls even with people we know, but I would love to explore Epcot with just my husband! We have been several times but I know we miss so much.

I feel you in the height! Our oldest is a daredevil, but so tiny! She is 8 and maybe 45 inches. I wish she would grow a couple inches so she could do rockin roller coaster. You never know, our last trip she was a solid 42 inches - we told her she wouldn't be able to do SM and EE but that we would let her get measured...well, she was tall enough! I couldn't believe it. I should have prepared myself for EE, though - yikes!

I haven't used them but I've seen nothing but rave reviews. I get you on the nerves, other than my son going to school neither kid has ever been with an "outside" sitter. If I need to leave them it's always been with family members.

My niece did EE as her very first roller coaster. It was the only ride pic my sister and BIL bought, her face in it is hilarious.

Found it! She's in the front with her dad.
