~*~The OFFICIAL 2014 Dates Thread - Come Join Us!~*~

BearcatsFan

Hi, we are official for AoA! Can you update the July page for us? Thanks. This will be our second time at AoA. We absolutely love the pool and the theming. The underwater sound system is fantastic. If any one has any AoA questions, I would be happy to answer them. :goodvibes

I can most definitely get that updated for you - thanks for posting and letting me know.

Hey guys! I got everyone updated on the list from last night. :goodvibes I was re-reading my posts to you all - I sound completely braindead - sorry about that! :lmao: I had worked in the yard all day and was so exhausted I could barely keep my eyes open by the time I signed on to DIS. I think I was asleep before my head hit the pillow when I finally signed off! :faint:

Anyhow, if anyone has further updates, just post and let me know! :teeth:

You are doing an awesome job with this thread!! Are you any closer to making your plans for next year? It just wouldnt be right if you didnt get a trip after keeping track of all of us!! :lmao:

 I quit talking about my WDW trips outside of this board a while ago - nobody quite gets it like the people here do! :teeth:

People at work get so tired of hearing about Disney. Haha. I have pics from our trips on my desk, a little toy Ariel, not to mention an Ariel tattoo... And a countdown to our next trip... 426 days away... 9/13-9/21/2014 at POFQ

Well - bump in our plans. Was planning on calling to reserve today and checked out the website - the prices for CR increased an average of $80 a night for the week of our stay (up from 2013 prices) - I just can't see paying over $500 (550 on weekends!) a night for a room.

Back to the drawing board - boo!

Officially booked at POR Royal Room for DH and I for our 2nd Disneymoon :)

Feb. 23rd - March 6th.

Can't wait to visit the world for the first time in 10 years.

May 3-8 at Pop and then the 8-11 on the Dream:thumbsup2

Thanks, Val! :goodvibes I try hard to keep up with everyone's plans!

As far as our plans for WDW, here is what I know for sure:

1. We're definitely doing WDW next year and not doing Vegas.
2. Our trip will be in October or November.
3. We'll be there for 9 nights / 10 days.
4. We'll be staying offsite. I've got it narrowed down to 5 or so hotels.

Anddddd so far, that's it! :headache: But hey, I'm further along than I was a couple of weeks ago, so I guess that's a good thing! :lmao: Seems like every time I turn around, something changes, so until I know for sure what our dates are I'm not putting myself on any list or joining any of the month-threads!

Hello, and welcome to our group! We're glad you decided to join us! :goodvibes

An Ariel tattoo? You don't by chance have a pic of that you'd want to share, do you? :teeth:

I'll get you added on to the list for September. Meanwhile, feel free to join the conversation so we can get to know you! :hyper2:

Bummer! Sorry to hear that. Will you be looking offsite now or what?

I'll get you added on to the February and March lists. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask! :goodvibes

:wave2: Hi - welcome to the thread! A split-stay with a cruise - how fun! :yay: Is this your first cruise or have you been on one before? Where are you headed?

I'll add you on to the May list. We'd love to get to know you, so jump in and start chatting! :hyper2:

I don't know - I priced stuff out all day - not fun! I am wondering how cramped we would feel in a moderate...we really aren't the type to be in the room much. Need to talk with my husband more when he gets home from work.

Forgive me, but how many are in your family again? Which mod are you considering?

5, but one will be under 3; and luckily our girls are young enough that we don't have all the drama getting ready (well, we have drama, lol, but no make up, hair, that stuff); and more than likely the 3 girls can share a bed - our youngest will almost be 3 so I don't think we will need a pack and play or her.

Would you like my advice?

I'd stay in the Port Orleans Riverside -- it's a Moderate and you can put 5 in the Alligator Bayou rooms -- they have a fold-down little Murphy bed that would be perfect for a 3 year old -- I think it's only 4 feet long or something like that -- and you can fold it back up during the day if you desire more space to move around in.

You can find pics at allears here -- http://allears.net/acc/faq_dxl.htm

Happy planning! pixiedust:

I'm having such a hard time keeping up with the Dis!! I feel like I'm missing so much. I've cleaned everything up, and have two TRs to catch up on... Someone else's and my PTR!! However, my Jan 2014 trip ADR window opens in 7 days...... :D

Breakfast - Chef Mickey
CRT (a must)
Kona

Dinner - Flying Fish
Jiko
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Via Napoli
1900 Park Fare

Lunch - 50s PTC
Yak & Yeti

Just a few ideas, and part of me wants to try for BOG again..... ;)

Taking all suggestions!! We are trying to get a fun mix between grown up meals and fun.... Plus we will have photopass plus again :D

We may run into each other, sounds like we are going around the same time as you.

Tentative Schedule and looking for any advice/suggesstions too before we make ARDs on July 22:
January 18:Dinner Garden Grill
January 19: Lunch Hollywood and Vine, might try for Fantasmic Package
January 20: Dinner Akershaus
January 21: Dinner Chef MIckey's
January 22: Breakfast Ohana and Dinner BOG
January 23: Lunch Via Napoli or Sci Fi
January 24: Lunch CRT
January 25: Lunch Crystal Palace

We love Ohana for Breakfast since it is served family style and the kids get to interact with characters and to the parade. It is a family tradition and then take the monorail over to opening ceremonies.

Officially booked for Jan 18-25

Promised my daughter a trip to Disney if she finished the year with a straight A average, and she delivered :thumbsup2
Now it's Dad's turn to deliver her 3 nights in a AKL Kidani Villa and 4 nights in a Beach Club Villa for 7 full days of Disney bliss! :dancer:
Thanks to Dave's DVC Rentals for making it as affordable as a moderate resort stay :thanks:

See y'all for drinks by the firepit! :bitelip:

Lucky for you to be staying at the Beach Club. We love it there!! I hope your dad comes through on Kidani, our kids loved the Savvannah view last January. We will be at BLT as the as the same time as you.

Most of the mods have queen beds, right? We did my 5 year old, my 3 year old and my sister's 7 year old in a queen bed easily when we were at my mom's last weekend. I don't think you'd have an issue in any of the mods. I'm going to suggest POFQ just because it's smaller and more compact, less walking to busses, etc;

Good luck either way

I did a bit of an itinerary overhaul last night, the budget was creeping up a little higher than I wanted it to be. When we travel in the winter I like to have a decent sized emergency fund, snow storms happen at the most inconvenient times. It came down to cutting a fair bit of our dining or cutting the family photo session at the Boardwalk. Dining lost. I'm sure I would have enjoyed those meals but the pictures will be something I can keep forever and we haven't had a good family session done in over 2 years. My now 3 year old was an infant last time.

We kept: CRT breakfast, Chef Mickey's, Disney Jr breakfast, Tusker House breakfast and O'hana dinner.

Changed: BoG dinner to BoG lunch so I can use a QS credit during our DP portion of the trip

Lost: Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic package, Cape May breakfast on our departure day, dinner in WS for date night (I was seriously hoping for the new Moroccan restaurant). Instead of dinner we'll just do drinks and snacks as we wander.

16 more days and I can make those ADRs!

We are super excited. We didn't know when we would be going back again cause we had a "really" tough year. But when we knew my niece was turning 18, graduating high school, and going away to college all in one month, party at her house and Disney. Win, Win, Win!!! Last year we stayed at AoA in the Nemo suites. We loved it. We loved the pool too. The theming, food, pool, everything!!! This trip we needed to go cheap in resorts while still doing all the food we want to eat and same amount of days in the parks. So we are saving money on airfare by driving (half the cost) and value. Pop and All-Stars are cheaper, but for $65ish more, kids get the pool and theming they love. Also, Landscapes of Flavors has many interesting choices that aren't available at Pop. Hope you enjoy your trip, cause I know we will!!!

That's awesome! I'm glad you're getting to go. We didn't think we'd be going back so soon (we just went last year and stayed in POP), but we just missed it so much and had such a good time that we decided to be incredibly frugal this year so we can go next year haha. How long is the drive for you? We considered driving, but from New York it's just too long for us!
