I've never heard the term "Massachusettsan" before and I grew up in the Boston area, lived there 30 years, and still consider Mass my "home." I'd go with Bostonians vs Bay Staters, probably. And yes, there is a less than DISboards acceptable term for us, especially if someone is referring to our driving techniques!

Not sure how accurate these surveys are, but MA ranks #4 in the top ten states with the most unfriendly people.
