I've never heard the term "Massachusettsan" before and I grew up in the Boston area, lived there 30 years, and still consider Mass my "home." I'd go with Bostonians vs Bay Staters, probably. And yes, there is a less than DISboards acceptable term for us, especially if someone is referring to our driving techniques!

My parents made a joke that as I should one day go to a Yankees vs Red Sox match in Fenway Park and wear a shirt saying "I'm single, stable, and looking for love" (with the back saying I'm a Yankees fan from NY). I do wonder if a Bostonian woman (that is nomal and stable) would actually ask me on out a date there if I did. Or if they would totally just boo me being from NY.
