Me too!!!! I am so angry and wondering if I will continue to watch.
So not happy right now. Gonna be hard to watch it now. There are a few there I still would cheer on but think they made the wrong choice this week.
is it just me...or are Michael Chiarelli (sp?) and Marcus Samuelson (sp?) the most 'full of themselves' chefs in the competition?..they are both annoying the heck out of me. I like Anne, and I like Beau..and am pulling for them to make it till the end..something about Robert Irvine has always bothered me, but I can't put my finger on what!
I just can't figure out why Marcus has to keep making more items than they are told to..he's gonna take himself out by doing this I think, which would be ok with me..lol!
They are the 2 in that group that are actually successful restaurant owners and chefs.
I can't get past the whole Robert Irvine making up his resume thing.
this from an article
"Multiple claims by Irvine, including creating Princess Diana's wedding cake, cooking for White House dinners, being knighted by the queen, and more, have turned out to be tall tales"
But clearly the food network has decided he's a good enough chef to let him come back to his job. Lies or not.
There must be enough people who like Robert because it was the viewers who went on a Bring Robert back campaign that helped him make a return to the network. I for one am glad they did, as I think that everyone deserves a second chance.
Yes I know Michael is a successful restaurant owner so are many in the group doesn't mean he has to be a pompous jerk about things.
I knew about Robert's trouble with his resume right after it happened but I chose not to let it bother me. This is jmho. Why because NO ONE is perfect, some time in life for whatever reason we have embellished things. I don't believe for a second that there is any person any where that is so pure and honest that they can say that they have never embellished the truth for whatever reason (to make them, a friend, a spouse, a family member look bigger or better then they are) in most cases people figure out the truth and move on. Does it mean someone like Robert isn't a good chef? no, just means that they didn't have the self-confidence to go into the situation whatever that may be, and say this is me, these are my qualifications (without embellishment) and you'd be silly not to hire me. I'm sure the number of people trying to land a gig on Food Network is high, and he felt that if he didn't stand out he'd never have a shot at it.
