The "Newest" Moms Hangout...

For all you bfers:

CVS has the Bravado Nursing bras and tanks on sale, plus 20% off, plus $15 off of $65 and free shipping. I got 4 bras for $69--sick that I'm super excited about it.

The code is Oct20 and the $15 is automatic when you create or log into your account.

I haven't tried them before, but I hear they are the best. They usually go for $35 each for the bras.

Maggie, Lucas slept through the night early. Probably around 6 weeks. I could probably go back through this thread and find the exact time frame.

Laura and I joked that we should just print this thread for baby books! :rotfl:

I think it really depends on the baby.

Alex averages 4-5 hours in one nightime stretch for us. Last night was 4 hours, then 3 hours then 2 hours.... the night before was 5 hours and then 3 hours...

My only problem with buying a nursing bra online is the size issue...the two I have I think are too big now and I'm not sure about sizing...

I've done a lot of research (as usual) and these are supposed to fit true to size. Plus you can return them to a local CVS, so no shipping if you have one near you.

My mom came over today.... in lieu of a nice long nap, I did the responsible thing & went out to a CVS that was having a flu shot clinic & got my flu shot.

Onthe way home I stopped at a Taco Bell drive thru for some lunch..... maybe not the healthiest lunch, but tasty.:goodvibes

I did get to lie down for about an hour and a half too.

Too cute! I guess since you started out, I'll share too. Here's Isabelle as Tinkerbell. Her Nonnie made the costume for her, and she'll be sporting it next week at MNSSHP! :tinker:

love the halloween pictures... here is Allison. We got this as a hand me down- so it doesn't fit great, but does the job!

I wish I could say a long time ago, but Luca is 8 months and stills gets up 3-4 times a night. Basically about 3 hours a pop. I really miss sleep....:charac2:

I hear you! Vinny wakes up once a night, sometimes twice.. Jasmine either sleeps through the night, or wakes up screaming several times during the night. They are seven months old... WHen they were just a few weeks, I was up all night with them.

Awww!! I love all the costumes! we still dont know what the babies are going to be. I am trying to get my older kiddos costumes done up. Kaylee is going to be Minnie Mouse. Great, because we have a really nice dress that we bought her at Disneyland. Alex wants to be Darth Vadar.. Also good because we have most of the core stuff here. So I am just making some extra stuff to go with what we have. I am making the babies winter gear.. So they just might be warm babies for Halloween. :lmao:

My gosh the kids Halloween pics are great. You moms are making me feel bad I have not had a professional shot done yet. I am taking the two kids the first week in November for their Christmas pics. I did use up a whole memory stick so does that count! ;)

Emma slept a long stretch early as well compared to my son. She was about 6-7 weeks when I start getting 7-8 hours out of her.

I havent either.. I keep thinking that I need to get some done. Maybe in the Christmas outfits..

Sears keeps mailing me cards that I can't resist.

You get:
2 10x13s,
1 8x10
2 5x7
16 wallets
16 minis

No sitting fee, and sometimes the price is $9.99, sometimes $7.99 and I've even gotten a few $4.99! I can only pick one pose but that doesn't bother me too much.

So Lucas has been to Olan Mills once (his first) and to Sears ever since... I think 4 times now. Only twice were the pictures just of him, though!...

Katie is going to be Tinkerbell too. My sister is making her costume, but I think it will be cute. Dd9 is going as one of the other fairies. For some reason I was thinking Iridessa, but it is Silvermist. Ds12 says he is too old for costumes:sad2:, but I found a pirate tshirt and bandana at Walmart for less than $10. I'm going as Giselle! I got the costume clearanced at disneystore.com for like $12!

We had professional shots done at 2 mos. She is now 5 mos old, and we don't have them yet! They were free-the photographer is a friend of dh's, so I can't exactly call and demand the pics!

Oh.. on another note.. My babies got measured today!
Vinny- 28 inches long, 23 pounds
Jazzy- 28 inches long, 21 pounds

Just lovely little critters!

Hey gals! I want to be a part of this loop so bad.. hopefully soon I can post more. I feel like if im not feeding/changing/rocking Jake, then im catching myself up on housework. I typically lurk here though while im feeding him- its just SO hard to type one-handed.

Jake turned 5 weeks yesterday-- holy cow where has the time gone!

When did everyones LO's start sleeping through the night? Jake will sleep 4hours and sometimes we get a 5 and a half hour stretch at some point. We never have had him not sleep (knock on wood)... but i was wondering when they begin to sleep a little longer.

r u still bf or total formula now? formula fed babies tend to go longer than bf babies though it is so individualized... allie has slept through the night mostly since 6 weeks... there have been periods when she wakes up a few times but generally since then. have you tried swaddling? that made a huge difference for us... she is still swaddled at almost 7mos, she is getting too big for the large swaddle blankets now!

Sounds like DD--she first slept about 5 hours at about 5 weeks old. She now sleeps all night long, and has been for months. Bed by 8pm, and not a peep until morning. :woohoo:

Oh, and DD is going to be Tinker Bell for Halloween, too! :tinker:

Does anyone have thermometer suggestions??

The pediatrician asked me to go get an ear one today at Piglet's appointment.

He has croupe and they want to keep an eye on him and want me to monitor his temperature regularly. Apparently none of the local labs will test for swine flu anymore because it's everywhere here. So I have to monitor temperature instead.
