The "Newest" Moms Hangout...

I really liked it... DH came home and snapped it right into assembly. Go figure. :rotfl:
I did a few spins around the living room and all that- turns really tight.

I've never looked into the Baby Joggers but I don't jog so I automatically disqualified them due to their name. I'm bad like that.

I'm now looking at Skip Hop diaper bags. If it's a boy I can justify the purchase (they're like $80 for a double!!) because I won't need to buy a dang thing. If it's a girl... I might ask my mom and dad for it as my birthday/baby gift. haha.
They're so neat, they snap onto strollers- the website shows Maclarens specifically. I like the idea of their saddlebags, too! Ugh! I'm lost in a world of accessories...!!!

Lucas is climbing the stairs now. There was a ball on one of the steps and he knocked it off and I'm watching him to try to reach for it while holding onto the stair. He almost did the splits! :lmao:
Luckily, the stairs on the flight upstairs seem to be taller. He can't get up those yet... just the three that lead to a landing. So at least I'm not worried about him tumbling down 20 some steps... 3 is freaky enough!

I don't know what I will do with 2 boys if they're both going to be this rambunctious!!

Well I mentioned Alex wasn't eating, he's still not. But now it's only from me. He ate at 8am this morning and then I fed him some oatmeal and applesauce at lunch and he wanted nothing to do with me. So I tried again and again and nothing. I want him to drink something so I had some BM in the fridge - he gulped it down and then cried for more. So I tried me again and nothing. We have no problem at night! grrr...

Got my Maclaren. I really like it! I want to take it for a test drive at the mall, but DH is being a jerk and wants me to get rid of it still. I think I'm slowly convincing him that it's not as bad as he thinks. He said he's going to show me how nice the cheapo unbrella's are at BRU tomorrow and that we should just get one of those. lol

I think he realizes how unreasonable he's being though.

How tall is he? Because those cheap umbrella strollers KILL us. They are way to short, and just full on suck all the way around. Im 5'8 and my husband is 6'2.. We cannot stand how bent over we have to be pushing those craptastic strollers.

I'm not sure how tall your DH is but my is 5'10" and has no problem pushing the Maclaren but the cheap umbrella's are really short. Even for me and I am 5':rotfl:

I have the Skip Hop Duo, I love it. It holds do much stuff and it's small. The straps for the stroller are the best. You just have to be careful that it's not to heavy or it will flip the stroller if you take the baby out of it. Well that happens to me at least.

lol The mini is super nice for outdoor walking like at the park or on sidewalks. It has a smoother ride than the Macs. I wouldn't be jogging with it either. :lmao:

I know they sell a Skip Hop at Target for like half the price of the normal ones.
Skip Hop Dash It attaches to the stroller too.

Sounds like a nursing strike? I read about them at kellymom, but haven't experienced much of one. I think the advice is to wait until they will feed from you or it might get worse. But I would have done the same in your shoes.

I know they are usually relatively short and when they are really sleepy is the best time to get them to feed. :headache:

We're both short 5'6'', but I think the cheapos will speak for themselves. I'll report back! :thumbsup2

OK, I finally got dd10 inside to play with Katie so I could upload some pics. Katie has decided that a nap is not necessary today!:scared1: We are heading out in an hour to have her Easter pics made, so I'm sure she'll crash at about that time......

My hair isn't perfectly straight, but I am soooooo happy with it! I washed it this morning, and let it dry 100% naturally. No dryer, no straightener, nothing. Dd10 just took this picture:

This is me in WDW in 2007:

Thanks. She did great taking her Easter pics today! And she got to play with live bunnies......I know you can't tell much about my hair from those WDW pics, but that was all I could find. I have crazy kinky hair. I can straighten it in the morning, and if it gets the least bit damp, or sweaty, it starts shrinking! Being able to go swimming, or get on Splash Mtn, without looking like a clown will be awesome!:goodvibes

If you are looking to buy....check out the Evenflo Sport Plus strollers! They are basically umbrella strollers, but the handles extend. They are also lightweight which makes getting on and off the buses at Disney much easier. We bought ours 2 years ago for a Disney trip and haven't stopped using them since (except for a brief round with the double, which I just hate)....they are showing their wear, but boy do they make my life easier!

At the time that I purchased them, they were around $40 each...so not the cheapest, but not a Maclaren either.:goodvibes

Does anyone here have one of the carriers, like a Baby Bjorn or anything like that? Does it help to soothe your baby and do you like using it? I'm just curious. Normally after a feeding DD is very restless and won't go down for a nap. I think that if I was to carry her around she might calm down. I would hate to think that it's colic! yikes!

How about dry skin on baby's face. I googled about it and heard that Lansinoh works well. Anyone use this?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

I have an ERGO, I love it. I didn't start using it though until DD was 3 months, she is now 9 months. For the first few months I just used a sling and unfortunately there is a lot of bad press on them right now. DD snuggled right in and fell asleep. Do you swaddle? That helped a lot too. I used the swaddle blankets with the Velcro, I could never figure of the folding of the blanket. :confused3

For dry skin I use Aquaphor, it works great. I know others on here use it too. I also have the body wash. If you have Lansinoh on hand I would try it, I think it would do the same.

For dry skin we use Aquaphor... all over him.
Or DS has some prescriptions (but he's got mega bad/dry skin issues) that can be used on his face.

I do swaddle her, with one of the Swaddleme things. Yeah, trying to do the blanket thing myself was a little challenging! It took too long! The thing with the velcro is like 3 steps you're done!

I'm looking at one of the Baby Bjorn's. It has gotten some good reviews and I think it would be fun to carry her around. I guess it's worth a try!

I had a Bjorn with my first but once he got to heavy I switched to a ring sling. I carried him on my hip with the sling. I love baby wearing. :goodvibes The closeness is nice plus your hands are free to do other things.

Melissa, what is your due date?

This one is a surprise. They've both sorta been surprises but Lucas less so... :)

August 31st, Landon was born August 21st and was 17 days early so we may have 2 babies born in one year.

Never heard of it. Hope you have a blast!

OMG and Congrats!!! I've heard wonderful things about having them so close. It's hard in the beginning, but awesome all in all!

How are you feeling?

Thank you, I know when they are older it will be very enjoyable but I'm worried for those first couple months.

I'm feeling well, just tired of course!

Ohhh... we have the same due date!
I'm so jealous that you already know what you are having!!

It's absolutely killing me this time around, but I see my OB tomorrow so thinking I will get to schedule the ultrasound. Woohoo!!! Did you go to another 3D place like you did for Landon??

Congratulations again! Are you going to join in the Moms-To-Be again? I'm over there!

Happy Sunday. I turned 30 this weekend and had get togethers with both of my families.

I have such thoughtful family members. My DMIL brought me back a LeSportsac Hawaiian print bag exclusive to Hawaii and a PM that is a little hula girl. They were in HI for a wedding. My DSILs and families got me a new pair of Coach sunglasses. My sisters got me some new kitchen gadgets and my dad got me a digital photo frame. I've been admiring his since Christmas. I can't wait to load it with pics of the boys!

Congrats Melissa! Welcome back. One of each will be exciting. I bet Landon will be a busy big brother. It's definately crazy for the first few months. Mine are 19 months apart and I think the hardest part to adjust to was making time for both. They have so much fun together now. A good schedule is what made it easier for me.

Can't wait to find out what you'll be having, Patsy. Two boys is awesome so far because they have shared 2 seasons in clothes but they are totally different as far as sizing and age. My DS1 was smaller than my LO is now by quite a bit. He's wearing his 12/18m stuff! But I love to dress them alike. They can't argue about it yet so I figure, why not?

My ring sling never seems to stay put. Maybe I'm doing something wrong! I follow the directions but both of my boys just seem irritated. :(
