Thank you, I can hardly wait I'm acutally more excited about the honeymoon than the wedding because that means all the stressful wedding stuff will be done. Also thanks for those room numbers, right now my reservation notes a woods view is that a MK view as well? Only 96 days to go! :cloud9:

Yes, I think the woodsview would be correct. Just make sure you asked for the Magic Kingdom view.

There are 4 honeymoon suites on the 7th floor. Two on the MK side and two directly across from them which look out at the bus stop.

The rooms are really nice and you get a jacuzzi!!!

dizneykid,

Great! Thanks.

We have stayed in the VP suite before but it was really starting to show it's age. Do you know if they replaced the carpet in either of the suites?

We have to stay at WL next year and I'm trying to decide which type of room to book.

In the Pres Suite it looked like there was new carpet so maybe they replaced it in both.

The updates made the suite look "fresh" again.

We will be there Dec. 13-16 to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. This will be the first time staying at WL and we are really looking forward to it! Hope we won't be disapointed!!

Added you both to the list.

MimiofOlivia/Sandy

Congratulations on your 33th Anniversary, I'm sure you won't be disapointed. Wilderness Lodge is a beautiful resort any time of the year but @ Christmas it transforms to an even more Magical place.

Edited to add: WELCOME to the DIS
I am in your same age group and we love going to Disney as a couple.

We will be there December 2 - 9th. We have a Inner courtyard view, special request for bunk beds (DD has seizure disorder and can't sleep with sister, so no one gets hurt in case of seizure in her sleep). We are going to MVMCP on the 7th. We are celebrating both DD's birthdays. DD 1 her real birthday is the 4th, DD 2 her real birthday is Aug. 17, but to not leave her out, she opted to not have a party or present this year and do it at Disney. We are planning the best trip.

We will be there Dec. 3-9 Concierge (first time on CL)! We are celebrating our anniversary and will be there with DS3 and DS.25 (looks funny, he's 4 months old). Last year was so great we decided that is our new tradition. We're already booked for Dec. 2007.

I'm listening to the WL Lobby Christmas Loop right now, wishing we were there. :sad1:

Mary and GatorEye welcome to the group have added you both.

Thank you, MAGICINMYHEART/Becky!
I was apprehensive at first that we would be the only couple in our age group without kids at Disney but everyone on the boards have been so nice and supportive. I am getting really excited now and can't wait til December and our stay at Wilderness Lodge!

Didn't realize that '07 visits can make the list...add us on:goodvibes . We luved it last Dec. before our cruise & are returning next Dec.

Still trying to decide whether to visit the world before or after DCL trip. If we go before the cruise, we only get to stay @ WL 2 nights but, if we wait until after it we get to stay 3 (to minimize the # of skool days ds misses) All the books & everyone I've spoken to say you should always do WDW 1st & cruise 2nd.:confused3

Might as well do it backwards & have more days in the World (subject to my flightly ways LOL) we will be sailing on the DCL Wonder Dec. 9 - 13th and home @ the WLV Dec. 13 - Dec. 16, 2007:banana:

When we took these photos they had not yet finished completely. They still had to put up the drapes.

You can see the new rug in the couch picture.

I have a few more and will try and post later. :artist:

To everyone who is going, remember to rub the nose of Humphrey". :wizard: My DH took this picture because Humphrey had a little "nose job". I guess his nose was rubbed so much they repainted it!!! :artist:

...no pun intended, but, it seems like YOU have 'taken up the reigns' on keeping all the info updated.....could we interest you in becoming the new "Wonderful, Wacky, Weathergirl"???!?!?

I guess I was a little confusing on my original post. :)

We are going to be there Dec. 3-9, 2006 (Concierge), Dec. 2-8, 2007. Hope to see you all there!

Just back from planned five night WL stay that turned into seven thanks to Southwest cancelling all their Wednesday flights due to Ernesto (which turned out not to affect Orlando). :cheer2: We had checked out so wound up staying in two different rooms, both Woods View. We liked both - first was #6026, great view of fireworks (though castle was hard to see through trees), very near the elevator near Roaring Forks, which was very convenient. Second was #4083, right on the lobby above WCC. I know some people complain about the noise if you have a lobby room, but I find it only gets noisy at night (hard to hear if you have the TV on), and it quiets right down when WCC closes at 10 PM. I love walking right out my door, especially in the morning, and having the lobby view right there...there was even a chair outside our room where you could sit and just take it all in.

Tip for MK fireworks viewing if you don't have a room with a view...there are windows in the hallway near the elevator by Roaring Forks, and people were standing there watching them. You have a nice view of the castle from this location as well. To get there, take the elevator to the 6th floor and make two quick lefts.

Re Roaring Forks, the only thing we ate there was breakfast - and then only bagels, muffins, and croissants - but it was clear that they had upgraded their menu (e.g. some fancier deli sandwiches) and seemed to be making more of an effort. The remodelled dining room was nice, too.

Any questions?

MassMom - thanks for the update. Lucky you....would love to be stranded for an extra 2 days!

Question for anyone who can answer....we would like to eat breakfast at WCC on our last morning. Will we need an ADR??? Thanks for the help. :thumbsup2

23 days and counting!!!

p.s. This is so cute....I've been researching, planning, calling for ADR's (and then calling again and again to change them), planning our park touring, printing menus, etc, etc, etc for months now. DH has been putting up with it, listening to all of my "concerns", and laughing at my neuroses. He has been looking forward to it all along, but not at all like I have. Well, last night, it finally hit him!!!! He started talking about where we were eating, what he would eat, rides he wanted to make sure we got on, park itineraries, shopping for the kids, etc. It FINALLY hit him!!!! And now he can't wait!!
:sunny: It took a little while, but he has finally come around.
I absolutely cannot wait!
