Attention:
All Wilderness Lodge Vet's,
Lovers of the Wilderness Lodge,
First Time Lodge Guest,
Friends that enjoy to visit with other DIS'ers

As visiting the Lodge @ Christmas is such an exciting time and when many of us visit WDW, a few of us DIS Members will be visiting the Lodge over the holidays.

We love meeting other DIS'ers and would like to try and meet-up. If you will be staying or visiting in December please post your dates maybe we can arrange several meets during the Holiday Season so you can meet other members.

A great location to meet is in the Lobby next to the bridge over Silver Creek very close to Humphry. (near the Main Elevators) The best time for meets are in the early/late afternoons after park visits but before dinner plans and evening visits to the parks. Most meets are very casual and can be just a few minutes or longer if plans allow for extra chat time. A visit to Territory Lounge is alway great.

We will be at WDW Decemebr 14-17, 2006 and would enjoy meeting others during our stay.

As others post I will add the dates to this original post that will make it easier to check others dates.

Another great location to post your dates is on a website one of our WL Vet's
Majestic did for us.

Congratulations!!

Ask for room numbers 7085 or 7086 (Magic Kingdom View). Make sure they know it is your honeymoon. :goodvibes

Thank you, I can hardly wait I'm acutally more excited about the honeymoon than the wedding because that means all the stressful wedding stuff will be done. Also thanks for those room numbers, right now my reservation notes a woods view is that a MK view as well? Only 96 days to go! :cloud9:

We have a minivan so our luggage would be visible from within. I will have my computer to download our photos and my husband will have his for work-Lord knows he won't completely leave it behind. Thanks for the info Beckie that will help alot. Even though it would be a hassle, we'll just leave it with guest services for the day, just in case.

What a romantic site for a honeymoon - enjoy!

As our wedding gift to DS we let them select which DVC resort they wanted to visit, surprised they picked BWV...think I would have gone with WLV or BCV.

Are you aware of anything "special" that the staff does for a couple on a honeymoon trip?

I indicated it on the ressie & got the bride ears headband & top hat along w/cute t-shirts (on sale @ disneyshopping.com) personalized w/their names, wedding date, etc.

Still considering getting limo service in lieu of ME. Got any other ideas on how to make it a magical trip for them?

Back from WL 8/30. Best stay yet. The room refurbushment is great. Like having frige and coffeemaker now. Any questions?

We got the bride and grrom ears and t-shirts too! They did note on my reservation that it is our honeymoon so if we get some extra pixie dust that would be cool but if not it will still be a fantastic trip. I got some information about special things we can have delivered to the room and I may suprise him with chocolate covered strawberries and sparkaling cider (can't stand champange). Other than that I haven't found anything that might be good for a honeymoon other than nice dinners and such. :goodvibes

By the way that is a great gift to give your DS. My dad is paying for our hotel for the wedding, we are getting married in Laguna Beach and he is putting us up at the Grand Californian at Disneyland so we go go to the park as often as possible when not doing wedding stuff. :cheer2:

I'm so excited. I just booked WL for Jan 27-Feb 3, 2007. I'm going with three of my friends, we have all know each other since kindergarten. Now we're leaving the husbands and I'm leaving my son home. Just us girls!

We booked woods view. Hoping to maybe get an upgrade or a MK view room.

I was at WL in Sept 2004 and had a standard view room on the 5th floor but can't remember the number. We overlooked a service area, but could also see the castle and fireworks at night.

Can't wait for my second trip to WL :Pinkbounc

Any suggestions for a good woods view room? I know requests are just that, but I might try for a certain area if I can.

Glad to hear you had a great trip. How were the crowds this past weekend along with Mon & Tues?

It was actually pretty funny from our point of view (inside the room). My DH screamed, we heard the chair scrape and he ran inside (and he rarely runs). We are trying not to laugh about it because he was really freaked out, but it IS funny. :rotfl: He does not go out on the balcony at night anymore - no one in our room does. :sad2:

HA!!! You're a good wife. My wife would have been laughing :lmao: right from the start if that happend to me!!! My kids too :rotfl:

What did you think of the new Roaring Forks?

Your dad & I think alike! I had honeymoon noted on res. form too, anything extra is always a bonus/special.

Youngest DS went to build-a-bear & made the bride & groom bears too, cute...figure they can use as shower/gift table decorations???

Have you thought about being a "flag family"...if it's not too early in the day for you? We've never tried for it, always commando-ing in the park.

Hope your wedding/honeymoon are all you dreamed of...good luck.

What did you think of the new Roaring Forks?

This is our first trip to the WL, so I can't compare it to the "old" Roaring Forks, but we like it. They have a nice selection of food. My son loves the pizza and the fresh sandwich selections are great also. I like the "fixins" bar, too.

It hasn't been very busy this week, and there has always been plenty of seating available. I took some pictures, but I've never had good luck with posting them, so I'll give it a try, but can't promise anything.

Glad to hear this positive review about the "remodeled" roaring forks.

It was terribly crowded, very slow to order & receive food (even @ off times) and the personal pizza was inedible. 1st time I've every seen my son refuse to eat pizza...the bite I tried was gross too.

Will have to give it another chance.

hi there

Does anyone have pictures of the renovated suites on the 7th floor.

:thumbsup2

Hello,

I have a few of the Presidential Suite but we were not able to get into the VP Suite the day we visited.

Most of the renovations was cosmetic. New drapes, light fixtures, they reupholstered the chairs, etc.

I am at work right now so I will try and post them tonight when I get home. We didn't take too many, but it might give you an idea. :)

dizneykid,

Great! Thanks.

We have stayed in the VP suite before but it was really starting to show it's age. Do you know if they replaced the carpet in either of the suites?

We have to stay at WL next year and I'm trying to decide which type of room to book.
