Hopefully they will keep it around until we get there. We have some friends going with us so we are splitting the cost and since I only have one person that will ride, I only have to pay 1/4 of the price. $60 for unlimited access to the boats sounds good to me.

Floridafam...you called because that's just what us DIS-type people do! ;)
And because that trip keeps getting closer and closer...how's everyone feeling? DH back to training?
I watch your trip ticker...it reminds me to keep working out!

And I suppose I had better firm up some plans soon...still need to add a person to my WL ressie, maybe make some PS's, etc.

ironz,

We're all still sick but DH is going to run tonight. I just don't have any strength but I'm starting to feel better.

Thanks for asking.:D

It's not too much longer now!

Hi!
I have several questions for you WL experts:

1. What are my chances of getting a coffee pot if I request it when I get there? Would you call ahead?

2. Can you get coffee refills or is that just soft drinks?

3. I have heard that if you are in an ECV, you might not be able to ride the boat to MK; will there be a sign up at the dock or will we just have to wait and ask the boat driver?

Thanks so much! We leave in 2 weeks!

I'll try and answer your questions...
#1. There will not be any trouble requesting a coffee pot once you arrive, no need to call ahead.
#2. I assume you are refering to the refillable mugs you can purchase at the Resort and yes coffee is included along with the sodas hot chocolate and hot water.
#3. There are signs posted warning that ECV may not be able to load on the large boats to the MK but they also have a temporary plank they can use and I have seen them use it which allows the ECV's to roll right on, if for some reason you can't board, there is a bus provided that will take you to TTC then you could board the Resort Monorail. You will be able to check with the front desk to check on any restriction that would be in place.

I have been staying at the Lodge for 10 years now and I can't remember the EVC's not being able to use the boats, but I would never say never.

Have a Great Trip.

Thanks so much for the reply! That was great info. I have been to WL twice, but we are taking my MIL and FIL and have never needed to know these things before. Now I can give them a good answer. Thanks again!

Hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY.

Wonderful pictures!

I looked at them and then got in the car to go somewhere. I turned on the XM Radio and one of the songs they play at WL was playing on 25.

My kids got so excited. It made me want to go there right now.:D

ff---can't we just go and hang out until time for the race? ;) wouldn't that be lovely!?

Magic...gorgeous photos...thanks for sharing. There are plenty of flowers blooming here in Texas now...but the WDW horticulturists really know their stuff!

ironz,

Yes, that's a good idea. :p I go on the Disney website almost every day just to listen to the music they play when you click on the Wilderness Lodge page.

Silly me.

Thanks to both of you Ladies, I'll just join you two until my trip in May.

MagicInMyHeart
thank you for sharing the pics

I was SOOOO bummed that the developer LOST 2 rools of film from WL and they included ALL my pics of the resort itself :( And the duck races :(
At the time I thought it was a great idea to use those little mailers and send out all my film from the resort - next time I am going to bring it all home and bring it to my friendly neighborhodd 1 hour developer

Hi, I read your thread but I have never stayed Concierge I did a cost analyst once and deside for me, it is less expensive to book room only, then call Room-Service while I'm at the lodge for anything I would need. (love having them bring my decadent selections to my room) I also enjoy booking my own PS so I wouldn't need that assistance...I would love to stay Concierge over at AKL just to do the Sunrise Safari.

Opps just found this photo I forgot to post earlier

Hi...just wondering if anyone can give me an idea if the room size at WL is sufficient? I've heard some people mentioning that the room size doesn't leave enough room for storing extra clothes souvenirs, etc. Would a junior suite be a better fit? From everything we've heard about WL, this is the resort we really want to be at. Room size is our only concern. Can you get a junior suite in the lobby area of the resort? Thanks!!:wave2:

I would say that there is plenty of room to store your goodies. We have been there a few times and never had a problem with storage. Worse case scenario, just stack it all in the corner of your closet. :)

As for the junior suites, they are all at the end of the wings closest to the lake so as far as I know, there are none that are on or close to the lobby area.

The Pres and VPres suites are in the main tower building and are somewhat close to the lobby but still not on it.

Of course there are also the Honeymoon suites. They are right on the lobby on the concierge floor. (7th floor) There are a total of 4 of those. They contain a king bed, cathedral ceilings, a jacuzzi tub, and a private balcony.

Hope this helps.

Even though the rooms are on the small side, we found them very efficently set up. The closet is big, The beds are high off the ground, so you should be able to slide your suitcase under if you like. There is plenty of drawer space.

If you should have a stroller, I saw lots of those "stored" outside on the balconies. (We kept ours inside and were not crowded.)

Enjoy your stay!
