And Nyquil, at least to help you sleep.

Yes, that is one of the hard ways. Another way is the George Bush Diet (When he was president) and the Terminator Diet (When Arnold was the Gov. of Ca.)
The Mr.Jerry diet is one of the current harsh diets for The State of California.

i don't like politics, so this diet would not really suit me.....

sherri the fish that you raise, do you guys eat them yourselfs? hows the prego horse?

I meant to share yesterday but didn't find time while the ideas were still fresh.

Yesterday DS had his birthday party at school.

See kind of strange, but the school has a rule. If you have a party out of school you can only invite people in the class if you invite all of them. So it was just easier to take the alternative and have it at the end of the day on Friday.

Not on his birthday of course or even close because next week it's another students birthday and she for some reason got first dibs on next Friday.

But I figured it would be much easier to have a 30 minute party for the whole class in thier classroom rather than have 15 kids to watch run around a local pizza place or worst my house. Granted if I didn't have a couple feet of snow in the yard I could let them run around out back. Why didn't I plan ahead for a summer birthday. Or at least a couple weeks later for spring break, then we could just go to DLR for his birthday like I did before he started "real" school.

We don't raise the fish...we just fish them out of the river and yes we (with the exception of DH) eat them. They are yummy!

We often ask ourselves why we didn't plan better too winter birthdays mean an indoor birthday party which cuts out so much outdoor fun. At the 6 month mark Beginning of summer) we always throw a happy unbirthday party (no presents) so we can do obstacle courses & treasure hunts and things we can never do on his birthday due to snow.

i got ur point brett..

and i am alive.i was going to be on the boards when i got home last night but i was driving home from disneyland and i got hit hard with the flu.umm im ok right at this moment, but last night when i talked to matt i guess i had a hard tim talking...umm today just feel not right and i am shaky. but on the other side of the rainbow last week i weighed myself i was 124, today i am 122 and half, so that is good!

Sry for being harsh on my comment. It's just been a long day today since I was working at a sports card show. I would say that the weather in SoCal is better than here since it has been raining all day today.

Hope u get better.

I was going to say something to you Matt since I am going next week to DL, I possibly won't be in the parks in the morning to afternoon on Saturday April 8. Since the tournament is at the ACC and is going to be long and I possibly won't have much time to do a quest. So I will possibly do what everyone is saying to me and just have a fun time at DL. I will possibly do it on the May trip since I will have more time to do it than April.

Hello.... I was just getting back on the DIS and my laptop died... I now have it back and am happy!

How is everyone??!?

Thats a pretty good idea. I know lot of places around here do Christmas in July when the are fully staffed rather than in December when a 10 man skeleton staff maintains the boarded up for winter facilities.

Maybe you should go in with a list of attractions to see/ride. A checkoff list of sorts, so if you don't get into the park a lot you can work it from the top down and enjoy what you can.

Yes this is my weekend off. I go back to work tomorrow night though.

The weather here is really yucky so not really much to enjoy besides being inside.

I know what you mean, but rain for you means snow for me. Because our storms usually come into the US between Portland and SF. And for about 5 months a year I hope for snow every weekend.

It's supposed to rain all week here. Right now it is raining and VERY windy. We are under a high wind advisory.

Normally I don't mind the rain but I hate driving in it especially at night and since I work night shift I will probably have to drive in it at least once this week.

With all the wind you guys are getting around the bay area, is there thunder and lightning?

Good rainy evening, Misfits!!!!

Wow is it ever pouring rain here tonight. Oh my its cold, windy and rainy.

Sara, did you go to DL this weekend? I am wondering how today was. :sad2:

Hi Matt, hi Gisele!

Sara, I hope you're feeling better!! :) I'm sorry you got sick. :(
I wanted to let you know we are planning a trip to Anaheim!!!! :) I'm hoping we can say hi! :)

Good evening to you too. And to all. :)

Yesterday, it was so windy, I thought I might see a cat and or a dog blowin' about in the wind, like a tumble weed. ;)

Well the wind has been crazzzzzzy here tonight. Ugh. Where is our usual sunny weather?

I did not realize Sara was ill. I hope she is ok.

How did skiing go?

Skiing was great today. Not deep powder snow. It was sunny until about 2pm and started to cloud up and then snow in the evening. But lots of fun, hitting jumps and skiing in the trees.

Hi Matt, hi Gisele!

Are you expected to get flooding down there? It sounds like it may be extremely rainy in some parts of Cali.

My ski area is getting lots of regular snow this year. They measure the snow pack. How high is the snow from the ground everyday. They actually do this as part of a weather survey for the Department of Agriculture and as a ski area statistic. Normally is is between 90 and 110 inches, roughly 9 feet of settled snow. For some reason if the snowfall is normal it has trouble getting past that. Even a few years ago we got over 600 total inches of snow and it only peaked byond 110 a couple times that season. It snows, get sunny and the snow evaporates and settles back down. This year it's been over that for about 2 months and is currently 125 inches.

When it snowed over 600 I called that back in January. I simply said at this rate of snowfall we could pass 600. And did on the last day of the season.

This year we are just over 480 and if these storms keep coming in we can hit 500 which is well above normal. Only a coulple weeks left but tonight since dinner there is 4 inches more on my roof.
