The "new" Magical Express video...

just doesn't seem as magical to me! We were in WDW from April 29-May 7 and saw the new welcome video for the first time. Am I the only one who misses the old show? The new one just seems so "corporate"! I always looked forward to seeing the Disney characters jumping on board the Magical Express and checking in to the GF. Thoughts?

I said the same thing to my husband when we saw the video in January. I miss the characters. This one almost felt like they were trying to sell us insurance or something. Just very factual and not as silly and fun.

Yeah, we didn't like it either!!! And my DH promised me he'd stay awake to see it!
So, that means he'll never get to see the other one now which is the one that always made me cry! LOL

It's really not a magical way to start the journey. we were bummed, definitely..

We really like the old one too. My son was disappointed in the new one until.... he saw the photage of Via Napoli's pizza. It is now one of our must hit spots. LOL

The reason I ask is that a friend told me she was in line waiting to board her Magical Express bus and she was watching a video..

When up popped my daughter and son in law on the screen...I remember being interviewed with them outside Fantasyland in 2012..this had to be a snippet of that..

Looking forward to maybe seeing that in 31 days!

I agree! I do not like the new video at all It's definitely not as fun or magical as the old show. Between the new Magical Express Video, The new voice on the monorail, I can only imagine what's next..if they take away Stacey and the Must Do's I am boycotting Disney!! (jk)

I don't even bother watching it anymore, it's boring, and a huge advertisement for mymagic stuff!! I really miss the old video where you got to see the magic and the characters, far more exciting!

That's not THAT bad. It reminds me of the safety demonstrations flight attendants do on the plane...or used to do until they implemented videos to do it for them. They probably changed it because people probably complained about not having safety info for DME.

Totally agree - do not like the new video at all....

I took my best friend for her first disney trip back in February and that was one of the exciting things I was telling her about - how magical they make the bus ride...and then they played THAT new video instead. Very corporate and very non magical...
