Have fun Channing! Honk as you go through Atlanta!
If you are worried about printing your boarding passes for Southwest, you can still check in online as though you are going to print them and instead of printing them at home, just reprint them at the airport when you are checking your luggage. You will still have whatever boarding group you were in when you checked in online. I do this a lot when I need to check in for Southwest but don't have a printer handy.
I have just changed my ressie from BWV's to GF theme park view room.
Can any of you give me suggestions as to what building & floor/view I should requjest? I would love to have a castle view.
This is our very 1st time ever staying at GF- I'm so excited!
THANKS!
Well if you booked a theme park view room, you should have a view of the castle. If you arrive and you don't I would probably ask to switch rooms.
Francie, the octagonal rooms fall under the classification of "honeymoon suites", so they do all have king beds. The regular deluxe rooms offer 2 queens and a little more square footage than a standard room.hi all, speaking of octagonal rooms in the main bldg - does anyone know if they all come with king beds or do some have 2 queens? thanks in advance

Unfortunately, "theme park view" doesn't necessarily mean castle. It could be a view of Space Mountain. There's just no guarantee that it will be specifically the castle. To up the odds a bit, I would request a room in either Sago Cay or Conch Key. They both have dead on views of the castle, with Conch Key having a small block of rooms that would be partial views. I think it was Janet2K who had a corner room on the top floor of Conch Key. She had some extra space and two balconies. The main balcony did have a view of the castle through the trees, but the second smaller balcony had a great view. The only drawback, is that the GF is currently undergoing rehab, so it depends on when you're going, which buildings will be available.Chasgoose said:Well if you booked a theme park view room, you should have a view of the castle. Both buildings face the same direction, it's just that there is a large pine tree (?) that would shade probably about 8 of the rooms in Conch Key. Sago Cay doesn't have any trees in front of it.Are you saying that Sago Cay probably has the more desirable Castle views over Conch Key? If so, I'll request Sago, top floor castle view first and then Conch key top floor castle view as a secondary request.
Here's a cool one, http://local.live.com/default.aspx?cp=28.411444|-81.586792&style=h&lvl=15&v=1 . Center the Magic Kingdom on the screen (use your mouse and hold it down to drag the screen around) and slowly zoom in on it. You'll probably notice the street sign for Floridan Way. The GF is on this road, slightly down from the MK and a little to the left. You can play with the zoom until you get it in your screen. When you're looking right over the GF, you'll notice the boat dock. The building to the left is Conch Key. If you look closely, you can even see the tree in the left corner of the building that I was talking about. Across the marina, is Sago Cay. As you can see, both are looking right directly at the MK and from these rooms, you'll see the top 1/2 to 2/3rd of the castle poking up out of the trees. Hope that helps you get your bearings.Also- is there a map that shows the resort in refrence to the park?
We currently have a Landscape view room at GF for mid July. Should we try and upgrade to a lagoon view? Is the lagoon view worth the upgrade? Just wondering if we'll be disappointed. We had Savannah view at AKL, but now we're AKL refugee staying at GF. I'm not complaining about the move to GF, just wondering about the view.
