hi all, speaking of octagonal rooms in the main bldg - does anyone know if they all come with king beds or do some have 2 queens? thanks in advance

francie - I should probably let Tammi or someone else answer this, but based on Tammi's room layouts, I would say that, aside from 2 or 3 of the SUITES in the Main Bldg., the Deluxe rooms with King beds are the only octagonal rooms and that in addition, not ALL of those King Deluxe Club Level rooms in the Main Bldg. ARE the octagonal ones... I have just put in my request for one of them

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Vonnie! We just got back to the Grand from our stay on the Wonder, and I was talking to her and Joe as they worked on my KTTW cards. I hope you have a fabulous trip -- I'm just sad I won't get to meet you. We leave late tomorrow to head back to Dallas.

I wasn't able to get more info on the rehab -- I still hear saws and lots of things going on in Sago. I'll see what I can find out tomorrow.

Johnsonet, Great!!! You will LOVE RPC and those octagonal rooms look so lovely. DD and I were almost there in May, but DH stayed on. It is perfect for a mom/daughter trip. ENJOY!!!!

OK - princessesrule4 Forgive me for quoting you so long after the fact (06-07-07), but is this information correct? Did you see work being done? I am reading such mixed reviews of the rehab down at the GF. If the Honeymoon rooms are done, then I want one!! There is a room avail. during my dates in mid-august for a Deluxe Club level room King bed. I can get it at the passholder rate. Is this one of the Honeymoon rooms?? And can I assume the room will def. be a "new" one by then? I thought I'd read the Main Bldg. was going to be done last. Confusion, confusion. Maybe I need to just book it and then email IPO...

The first CM just said "Honeymoon Suites". I have no idea what rooms are being done and no details were given. I didn't want to be too nosy! We saw no rehabbing going on. I am only telling you all what I was told - I guess we won't know for sure until someone actually gets a rehabbed room. Channing and Kelly may find out more on their trips this weekend!

Should I request a particular room? I need to go back thru this thread and look at pics, etc. I don't want to stress over it, though. And, obviously, I want the best views and most romantic rooms to go to any honeymooners who might be staying there at the time But barring that, I want the most magical room Especially for DD's sake!! I'm just going to be thrilled to be in RPC The one time we had use of the lounge, we were staying in a suite in Conch Key and were only there for a few nights and it was FREEZING. Walking over to the Main Bldg. and taking the elevator up to the lounge was NOT the most convenient. I can't WAIT to be in that main bldg

If you're staying on the 3d or 5th floors, and the lounge is on the 4th (is that right??), is there a stairway that lets you get from one floor to another, or must you take an elevator??

The lounge is on the 4th floor and there is a staircase you use between the 3rd ,4th and 5th floors.
I see you booked RPC! Did you go ahead and ask them about the rehab on the Honeymoon suites? It will be interesting to see what they have to say! Anyway, you will love RPC!! Can't wait to be back there in December!

I'm glad there's a staircase; I guess I remember now being taken up those stairs b/w checking in on the 3d and going up to the 4th for a snack I am hoping I'll get an email soon from GF IPO. If not, I'll send them one myself

and Lives4Disney Thanks for the encouragement. I think either of the Deluxe King room options will be a ton of fun for DD and me When your best case is a large, octagonal "suite" and your worst case is a beautiful bedroom with MK views , how can you go wrong?! (No, I did NOT just jinx myself )

Just got an introductory email from "Corp Business Objects" re. my CL stay at the GF I am so excited!

I will email them later today. The form sent in this email involves a lot of stuff that doesn't apply to us so I will just email GF IPO w/ a reg. email (and not copy and paste the big form);

Can they transfer all my ADRs to my CL reservation? I'd love to have a printout at check-in

We leave Monday a.m.
I am getting really excited but also nervous. I have some last minute errands I have to run today and I need to get the baby a haircut so I am sure I will be busy.
Tomorrow I am starting the packing!
The bad my printer broke!! No i cant print my packing list or my boarding passes and that freaks me out. I have not even had it a year but cant the receipt, I may call staples and see if I can exchange it their since I bought it there.
We shall see.

SL does serve alcohol and has all the same offerings as RPC/Main Building Concierge now!

Sorry I didn't get back to you soon but, I see Tammi had answered your question about the Deluxe RPC room. I have pictures on pages 335 and 336 from my stay in room 4021.

They can transfer all of you ADR's using your reservation number just send an email to IPO and have them send you an itinerary showing the ADR's.

Please be sure to go over it because when I arrived at the resort some of my ADR's were wrong. Luckily I had brought my own copy of the ADR's with me and had them fixed.

Hi!! We are heading south this afternoon.....DH still needs to buy some new gym shoes.....talk about last minute. Once we even had to stop at a mall on the drive down for him to buy some. Hopefully he'll get it done before we leave.

I am taking my big fluffy baby to be boarded this morning. I don't think they'll let me put her pic in my sig because it'd be too much siggy stuff, so here's her picture w/DD7 (blurry but they are so wiggly it's hard to catch them)

Gotta run! I don't know if I will check back later, so save travels everybody. Kelly, sorry about your printer. Good luck getting it replaced. Hoping we can get some serious scoop on the rehabs.

If you are worried about printing your boarding passes for Southwest, you can still check in online as though you are going to print them and instead of printing them at home, just reprint them at the airport when you are checking your luggage. You will still have whatever boarding group you were in when you checked in online. I do this a lot when I need to check in for Southwest but don't have a printer handy.
