You don't need to request it, because now you can make a Tower Magic Kingdom View reservation which will guarantee the view.

Far be it from me to disagree with The CR Fan, however, this is only partially true. Each closet has a shelf above the bar that clothes hang on. We used the shelves to stack t-shirts and shorts. There are also drawers in one of the closets (the one with the safe) and there are drawers by the computer, just as CR Fan stated. Between the shelves and the drawers, we were able to unpack all of our stuff and we're a family of 4. There is more storage room in the CR than you imagine (although not as much as say the Wilderness Lodge).

:moped:

Thanks for the great info!

On a side note, I really enjoy your trip reports. Keep 'em coming!

They do have a tv. It's kind of across the lobby from the check-in area, sort of close to the elevators. You'll find it. :thumbsup2

I think check-in is 3pm and check-out is 11am? Not positive, though.

How many king-bedded rooms are there at the CR? Are they predominately in the tower, or evenly spaced-out between the tower and garden wing?

Do the CR buses to AK, Epcot, and DHS make any stops?

Is the Outer Rim lounge still open?

I can help you with the last 2 questions!! The CR shares buses with Poly and GF. CR is the first stop, then Poly, then GF. The AK bus also stops at blizzard beach on the way back to CR. I don't think DHS has any other stops besides the resorts. I could be wrong though.

The Outer Rim is closed. It will reopen at a different location, still on the 4th floor.

The Animal Kingdom bus stops at Blizzard Beach before going back to the Contemporary. The bus for Typhoon Lagoon is the sameone that goes to Downtown Disney. You are also correct that the bus for Hollywood Studios also stops at the Polynesian and Grand Floridian, so no other locations.

The new Outer Rim location is going to where they have the Tempo Grab & Go.

CR resort Fan Glad to hear that the Outer Rim will be back and on the 4th floor:) I'll be at the CR in December any idea when all of the construction will be done? Love to see the finished product when I'm there...

Looking at the pictures from various websites the Contempo Cafe looks to be 99% finished, so it should open anytime now. However I am not sure when they would start the construction on the new Outer Rim location, because they first have to close up the Tempo Grab & go area since that's where it will now be located.

Too bad The Outer Rim is gone. Where can one get a drink now? California Grill? Seems like it's too bustling for a nightcap.

If you are not able to go up to the California Grill for a drink because it depends on how busy they are, you can always try the bar at The Wave.

CR Resort Fan Have you tried the Wave? If so how is the food?? and the atmosphere...

That's a good point. I'll have to try The Wave when I'm there next week.

Funny, I remember that space as the Fiesta Fun Center, and remember the little movie theatre in the back corner. I saw Mary Poppins there for the first time - must have been 1975

When I was there this past August I could not believe that was the old Food & Fun Center/arcade location. So talk about a huge difference.
