DS and I are staying here in Sept/Oct for 7 nights and WE CAN"T WAIT!!!! :earsboy: :earsboy: I've been to many of the sites alot of you have on CSR and I thought I read somewhere that the rooms have a radio/alarm clock in the rooms, can anyone tell me if there is one in the room, and if so it would be one less thing to pack.
Thanks Don:wave:

Hi, Don!

We'll be staying at CSR for the first time soon, so I'm not sure if they have alarm clocks in the room or not.

But I won't be using the alarm clock anyway, because at CSR, like at all Disney resorts, I'll be getting a wake-up call from Mickey himself!! This is one of my favorite things about staying in a Disney resort. Yeah, it's a little detail, but it's all those little details that make Disney so great!!

yes they have clock radios. make sure you check it when you arrive to make sure a prankster did set it for 4:00am

Thanks for the info, I plan on useing the Mickey wake up call for my son, I just need to see the time if and if I wake up to early I would like to see what the time is, and I can never seem to find my watch unless it's on my wist. Don't want to get up at 4am.
Thanks again.
Don :D

My soon to be husband and I will be staying at CSR July 27-31. We arrive at the airport at 10:00am on the 27th. I imagine we will make it to the resort somewheres around noon, although check-in is not until 3:00. I've heard that they will hold your luggage at the front desk if you want to go swimming or elsewhere why you wait for a room. Is this true?

Also, if we decide to leave for a bit, and they happen to get some rooms clean before the actual check-in time, will we possibly miss out on a room we might want (i.e. the "good rooms")? Should we stick around and wait for a room...how soon will they get rooms open?

Any info will be helpful.
Thanks,
Michelle

Yes, it is true. They have a location to hold luggage and will give your tickets to claim your luggage when you return.

Also, if we decide to leave for a bit, and they happen to get some rooms clean before the actual check-in time, will we possibly miss out on a room we might want (i.e. the "good rooms")? Should we stick around and wait for a room...how soon will they get rooms open?
You will go through the whole check-in process. They will provide you with a phone number to call to check if your room is ready. They will give you room keys so that you won't have to return to the front desk. During the call, they will tell you your room number and activate you room key. Then just go back to the bell hop in front to claim your luggage, tell them what room your in and your done. They make it really easy.

They have until 5:00pm to get you your room.

Would you suggest we just hang out by the pool or go to one of the parks for a bit since we have the ultimate hopper pass? What I mean is, would it be worth it to go to the park for only a couple hours? I realize this is a subjective question, but I would like to know other's points of view.

I would use that time to explore the resort and relax a little bit. If you're like me, I like to get in the parks and enjoy myself and for just two or three hours, I don't know how much I'd get to do. Take a walk around the resort, check out the pool, Pepper Market, etc. Then get settled into your room and head out for the MAGIC!

I was wondering the same thing. I think DS10. and I will play it by mouse ear! We have a 7:20am departure flight meaning we should be at the airport at least 2 hours before check in. We live an hour from the airport so that means getting him up by at least 3:30am. I don't have a problem with this since I have to be at work by 3am each morining anyhow, so I'm up early.
I'm going to see how he's doing and what the weather is like. I was also thinking about just going to DT bu t heard that it is pretty crowded on Sat. I requested a waterview room close to the main pool so seeing that might just do the trick.
Going to Disney!!!!!!
:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Since we have been to the resort so many times, we usually like to head out to Disney Quest on our first night. They are open until 11:00 or midnight (depending on the time of year).

or

You can visit Epcot to see IllumiNations. If you have a rental, you can drive to the Boardwalk. Best option since the got ride of the direct bus from CSR.

or

You can make plans to see Fantasmic!

or

hang at the resort, take a swim, grab a bite to eat.

Lots to do...

This is a great thread. We are going at Thanksgiving time and originally booked AS Sports, but DH decided to try a moderate for a change. :D

We looked at going to POR but it was totally booked (no discounted rooms) thru Dec. We are going on the Armed Forces Salute Discount. (That is the only reason DH decided to go again this year. LOL).

We decided to book CSR, but were unsure about it. After reading all these posts, I am pleased with the ressies. Between now and our trip, I will really go through all the posts and decided which area we want to try to get into and fax our request in.

It is just the three of us, Myself, DH, & DD-16, so it will be great no matter where we get.

Can't wait til November!!!:smooth:

While looking through Epcotfan's wonderful pictures, I saw a picture of the quiet pool and a towel return bin. It looked like there was also a bin of towels in the distance. I thought I had read that there weren't towels available at the quiet pools, that you had to bring towels from your room. Does anyone know?

We will be staying at CSR 9/13-21/03. We will be flying in. Originally we had not planned to rent a car. We will be doing dinners, etc at other resorts. In reading the many threads on these boards, it seems that transportation timeframes shared vary widely. I am seeing to plan for an hour to get to another resort. I have a 3 & 4 year old, so I am a little worried about too much time spent on transportation. Would you advise us having a rental car at CSR? How much time would it generally take to get to another resort if driving? Is there parking available at the other resorts if you drive there?

Thanks for any insight you can offer. We are trying to figure out what would be best.

Carol

Hi Carol,
I'm not sure what to advise, we always have our car with us and drive to the different resorts. It only takes a few minutes and we sometimes self-park, but usually use the valet service.

It may be a good idea to take a cab to some of the resorts. I know it's not that expensive, certainly less than renting a car.

We stayed at CSR last week and we LOVE this resort!

I'm sure you'll get some good advise from others on this board.

Have a great Disney vacation!!

I was just wondering since CSR has some suites does that mean these rooms can sleep more than 4 people? Thanks in advance.:D

The Dig Site is the main recreation area at Coronado Springs. At the Dig Site otherwise known as The Lost City Of Cibola you will find: The main pool, giant whirlpool, playground, sand volleyball court, arcade, Siesta's Bar & Grill, pool merchandise cart, children's splash fountain pool, and washrooms.

This area is referred to as the Digsite because it is made to look like ancient ruins. Check out the sand box playground pictures. You can dig up ancient ruins there. ;)
You can see pictures of the entire Dig Site on my website.

A Coronado Springs Suite can hold 4 to 6 people depending on which suite you have. There is an additional charge of $15 per adult per night for more than two adults (over age 17) per room.
