Our Med cruise thread has been going a year and only has 676 posts and still on first thread!

Exactly don't want to miss that this time![]()
That is also something I was disappointed We missed last time.
Caire - you might want to go ahead and update post 1 when you get a chance. Had tons of PMs roll in yesterday![]()
Claire,
Since I don't see a martini tasting listed yet, I'm willing to take it on.
Michael
Just off to bed so will do it tomorrow!
Did you catch the person a few pages back that tried PM'ing you to join but your mailbox was full.
Tried to join the Palo brunch group by sending " MandyGirl" a PM.
Only the box is full, try again tommorow.
Please let me know the number on here then. When I go to sleep in the US, it seems as if the other side of the pond all hits with new PMs. Every time I check if I am above 90% I delete back down. You must have tried PM'ing me at the same time dozens of others PM'ed their request or changes. Thanks!
Current listing:

We actually have 4 ... son Stephen who will be 23, two daughters Taryn and Lousie who will both be 23, and son Danny who will be 20. Taryn worked at Hollywood Studios. She is hoping to get a Disney internship with Disney Animation Studios as a concept artist in the next couple of years.
For the last wbta we were one of the last to leave as we flew to Barcelona on the day of the cruise, hence the term, turn off the thread lights!
Next year we will definitely leave the day before, that way we get to spread the excitement over two days, was way too much excitement for one day!!!,
I have a Chris Kiggins - is that you?
Still convincing DH this trip is a good idea. He is adamant that DS should not be missing school. I say "It's first grade??" He comes from a family of primary school teachers, and I haven't asked their opinion yet. My mom said she would stay at our place with him for the trip, if it came to that.
Thanks!Hi Pat!Good to see you back again!
Totally off topic (which we never, ever do here) but...
We had an exciting evening. We worked on my house this afternoon, and we had just gotten home when Dennis tripped on the front steps and bashed his head on the brick ledge by the front door! I dragged him in to the house and he laid on the floor with a towel on his head, bleeding all over the place, and fending off the dogs (who were either very worried or checking to see if they should start eating him - they hadn't had dinner, yet). I grabbed ice for his head and my car keys and off we went to the ER.
Four hours later... They did a CT scan (which showed nothing up there), stuck a couple of staples in the 3/4" cut on his forehead, and sent him home with instructions to take it easy for a couple of days.
I was saying earlier in the day that I didn't want to go to work tomorrow (had a REEEAAALLLYY bad day Friday), but honestly, he didn't have to go that far to get me out of it!
Oh, I almost forgot. He didn't pass out, but I came close. Blood and I do not get along well. So if you ever have an emergency, I'm not the person you want to rely on. Unless you want someone you can rely on to pass out.
We took the Aerobus to Placa Catalunya and just had to walk a couple of blocks to our hotel. Then we did the HOHO bus the following day. I had purchased the tickets online, only to find I could have gotten them cheaper at the hotel. I pre-booked a van to take the five of us to the pier. It all worked out beautifully, except that my mother and niece had their luggage "misplaced" by British Air and didn't get their bags until Madeira. It was awful! We did manage to pick up some clothes in Barca before boarding, but they were very unhappy campers for the first several days of the trip.If you don't want to take a taxi you can go whit the aerobus to Placa d'Espanya or Placa de Catalunya (Rambla) it costs 5,50 euro p.p. We took this year line 46 to Placa d' Espanya for only 2 euro p.p.
And we did the Hop on hop off bus for one day 26 euro and two days 34 euro's. If you book it tru internet you get a discount.

MandyGirl is a tutor and former teacher (and former principal, I think?) and I'm a former teacher, and I think we'd both say your DS will have educational opportunities on this trip that he would never get in school! I know there were kids on the 2011 trip who did school work while they were on-board.
I'm sure you can handle anything they would give your DS, but if not, there will likely be a few teachers/former teachers around who would be willing to help. I believe our standard charge is one FAB/RAB.(See previous post on beverage terminology.)
Thanks!
So, does he have a massive headache?Poor guy.
