Page 46 of thread 1 with 566 days to go? I bet we beat the 2011 record # of posts & threads!

Our Med cruise thread has been going a year and only has 676 posts and still on first thread!

Sounds like our EBTA rollcall.... but we ended up pushing up the post count so we could get to Thread 2 and be able to set it up in a more organized fashion. Otherwise, we'd still be sitting on thread 1 for sure!

Exactly don't want to miss that this time :cool1:

That is also something I was disappointed We missed last time.

Me too!!! We were in Barcelona but had done so much walking/sightseeing the 3 days before that we took a quick afternoon nap and woke up 9pm!!!!:rotfl2:

Caire - you might want to go ahead and update post 1 when you get a chance. Had tons of PMs roll in yesterday :)

Just off to bed so will do it tomorrow! :thumbsup2

Did you catch the person a few pages back that tried PM'ing you to join but your mailbox was full.

Claire,

Since I don't see a martini tasting listed yet, I'm willing to take it on.

Michael

That's fab Michael, I will add it to the first page & send you a PM tomorrow. :thumbsup2

Ugh - no - been deleting it back down as I can. Between this, changes to brunches, and EBTA I keep getting it full. Will try to read or if they see this hopefully they will PM again

Tried to join the Palo brunch group by sending " MandyGirl" a PM.
Only the box is full, try again tommorow.

Please let me know the number on here then. When I go to sleep in the US, it seems as if the other side of the pond all hits with new PMs. Every time I check if I am above 90% I delete back down. You must have tried PM'ing me at the same time dozens of others PM'ed their request or changes. Thanks!

Current listing:

Note: please do not request a group that is already closed due to being full

Just sent PM. Will await response before filling requests as I don't see how many spots you are requesting. I will be working this evening and then sleeping after that so if I do not respond immediately that's what's going on :goodvibes Been busy fielding requests, replies, changes, etc.

We're looking into renting an apartment (or two actually) near the pier in Barcelona now. Mom and I are thinking that we'd really love some time in Spain before the cruise, and a week in Barcelona sounds pretty luxurious :) I'm going to want to sign up for the Hard Rock meet-up, but is that a family type of event or more for just adults?

I am trying to book the entire Hotel Pratik Ramblas for the group on Friday.

So - anyone that wants to be at the Hotel Praktik Ramblas please PM me or email me direct at Sue.Kraft@KSTTravel.com If you have a group that wants to stay at another hotel, and would like assistance or you have a group and want to try and get it reserved now, please PM or email me! :dance3:

This is great! If you got the whole hotel I'd think we'd get a great rate! We should be on your list already from the Facebook thread, I believe.

Chris

Confession: I just ate one bite from every chocolate in my Valentine's chocolate heart box. :sad2:

Yep, I'm going to regret that tomorrow morning.

We actually have 4 ... son Stephen who will be 23, two daughters Taryn and Lousie who will both be 23, and son Danny who will be 20. Taryn worked at Hollywood Studios. She is hoping to get a Disney internship with Disney Animation Studios as a concept artist in the next couple of years.

Aha! See I don't know your life story from Facebook ;) Yes Taryn is the one I was thinking of, I just couldn't remember her name.

For the last wbta we were one of the last to leave as we flew to Barcelona on the day of the cruise, hence the term, turn off the thread lights!

Next year we will definitely leave the day before, that way we get to spread the excitement over two days, was way too much excitement for one day!!!,

I think leaving the day before also makes your trip less hectic. I always feel stressed that I'm going to miss the ship!

I would like to join the fun. Have read all 47 pages so far. I thought our EBPC 2012 was busy, but you guys are ridiculous.
It will be myself, Jenn, DH Jim, DS Billy (6 at time of cruise) and my father Bob in 2 cabins down in deck 1.

I am looking forward to joining in a bunch of things. We did a group Palo brunch on the PC trip and really got to know some people. Drink tastings, champagne, all sounds great. Loved seeing both the Roy and Walt suites as well, and those aft HA balcony rooms.

Still convincing DH this trip is a good idea. He is adamant that DS should not be missing school. I say "It's first grade??" He comes from a family of primary school teachers, and I haven't asked their opinion yet. My mom said she would stay at our place with him for the trip, if it came to that.

:welcome:

MandyGirl is a tutor and former teacher (and former principal, I think?) and I'm a former teacher, and I think we'd both say your DS will have educational opportunities on this trip that he would never get in school! I know there were kids on the 2011 trip who did school work while they were on-board.

I'm sure you can handle anything they would give your DS, but if not, there will likely be a few teachers/former teachers around who would be willing to help. I believe our standard charge is one FAB/RAB. ;) (See previous post on beverage terminology.)

Hi Pat! Good to see you back again!

Totally off topic (which we never, ever do here) but...

We had an exciting evening. We worked on my house this afternoon, and we had just gotten home when Dennis tripped on the front steps and bashed his head on the brick ledge by the front door! I dragged him in to the house and he laid on the floor with a towel on his head, bleeding all over the place, and fending off the dogs (who were either very worried or checking to see if they should start eating him - they hadn't had dinner, yet). I grabbed ice for his head and my car keys and off we went to the ER.

Four hours later... They did a CT scan (which showed nothing up there :rotfl:), stuck a couple of staples in the 3/4" cut on his forehead, and sent him home with instructions to take it easy for a couple of days.

I was saying earlier in the day that I didn't want to go to work tomorrow (had a REEEAAALLLYY bad day Friday), but honestly, he didn't have to go that far to get me out of it!

Oh, I almost forgot. He didn't pass out, but I came close. Blood and I do not get along well. So if you ever have an emergency, I'm not the person you want to rely on. Unless you want someone you can rely on to pass out.
Thanks!

So, does he have a massive headache? :headache: Poor guy.

If you don't want to take a taxi you can go whit the aerobus to Placa d'Espanya or Placa de Catalunya (Rambla) it costs 5,50 euro p.p. We took this year line 46 to Placa d' Espanya for only 2 euro p.p.

And we did the Hop on hop off bus for one day 26 euro and two days 34 euro's. If you book it tru internet you get a discount.
We took the Aerobus to Placa Catalunya and just had to walk a couple of blocks to our hotel. Then we did the HOHO bus the following day. I had purchased the tickets online, only to find I could have gotten them cheaper at the hotel. I pre-booked a van to take the five of us to the pier. It all worked out beautifully, except that my mother and niece had their luggage "misplaced" by British Air and didn't get their bags until Madeira. It was awful! We did manage to pick up some clothes in Barca before boarding, but they were very unhappy campers for the first several days of the trip.

Yep! I taught math for grades 6-12 and did my principal internship... but started staying home after #2 was born. We will be taking our oldest out of the start of second grade even if that means me withdrawing her from school and homeschooling (can do that in our state). The educational opportunities are awesome! In fact, for our EBTA in May we have a 150-page packet uploaded onto our facebook group that families can print out. It has activities that start with airplanes (for flying to trip), to facts about each port of call. So many educational opportunities! Life on Earth is short --- live it, do it! Family first. (I know I am in the minority though...)

Thanks!

Not too bad, really, but the cold that was coming on all weekend has now hit him full force. Poor thing. I should whack him up with some heavy-duty meds, ask him if I should go ahead and officially book the cruise, and interpret "hrmmrmm," as "yes." :rolleyes1

We took the Aerobus, too. Super easy way to get from the airport. Where did you stay last time? We were at the Continental Palacete. Funky, but nice.
