We stumbled across this itinerary by accident and it's just perfect. So we're in - booked in 7566. It will be Peter, my husband and myself Patricia from the UK.

By the time we cruise this will be our 3rd Cruise.

Looking forward to meeting everyone. And warning you now, my DW (Debbie) will be the one questioning you (and all the other Scots aboard) about everything to do with Scotland. That is our "adventure of a lifetime" she's been planning, and saving for. Hopefully 2015, so the plannings begun!

I'll be the one sitting near Debbie eavesdropping and listening to all her questions and answers. WIth a name like Skye- I have wanted to do there for years.

BSL = Brittish Sign Language. Sign Language is not international. ASL = American Sign Language (although actually based originally from French sign language....)

I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable to ask for the shows to be signed, as at this point I can hear enough to function, so I'd feel funny asking for a service that costs DCL money to supply. If enough people are onboard that it would enhance their experience, then I would.

I am just hoping someone requests it. Kevin probably qualifies even with the hearing aids in, but he does not know sign ASL or BSL. He really liked it on the last cruise and a CLP at Epcot so he has finally agreed to learn.

What I've done in the past is made the spreadsheet an image and then loaded it to Photobucket to post on here.

for us that 3 of us are deaf, I can lip reading and listen, and we had an interpreters since 4th Cruise and they are so wonderful.. I know lots of people enjoyed to watch their show at theatre on the Cruise.

I had a seriously crappy day at work, and I told Dennis he needs to just let me go ahead and plan this. Life is too short and the money will be there, somehow. It always is. I lead a basically charmed life, with some crappy work days thrown in to keep me humble and remind me why we need to take this trip!!!!

On WBTA 2011, we commandeered Sessions and DCL served us 5 different types of champagne and we all got charged $20 on our room bill, it was brilliant, so we are doing similar set up this time

About comedy, that two guys from Amercian, pick my husband Ian, it was so funny, I never see Ian laughed so much!! Also picked on to Marven, an interpreter too.

I think I thought you were Stephenkay but they are from Inverness too.. Are they coming too?

Good morning everyone! I love this thread and the things already planned! It is also like my cruising world is colliding - people I know from the WBRepo (PC 2008), and the 4 TA's I have taken are also cruising this one! I am so excited that I will get to see some familiar faces and meet new people too!

You may know absolutely everyone on the ship .... I am amazed by the amount of people I know who are on board.

Well it didn't take much to convince DW for this one. We are going to do an OBB in May for this one. So we are officially, unofficially on the cruise.

I will make the introductions now because I'll start following the thread because there is no way I am reading the 3 closed threads this group will have gone through by the time May gets here. At this rate it could be close to 20 threads by the time the cruise gets here.


It will be myself (Jon) and DW Candida (DIS: Photographer Goofy) this will be our second WBTA and 8th with DCL.

Sarah, So Danny is your son. That makes sense! Then you have two right? A girl and a boy? Your daughter worked at Hollywood Studios for a while didn't she?

We actually have 4 ... son Stephen who will be 23, two daughters Taryn and Lousie who will both be 23, and son Danny who will be 20. Taryn worked at Hollywood Studios. She is hoping to get a Disney internship with Disney Animation Studios as a concept artist in the next couple of years.

I've also got Dave and Amy moved over to this one so we have a mini-2008 DDD reunion going!!!

It is British Sign Languages (sign with two hands) ASL sign with one hand.

ASL also uses two hands (although finger spelling is one hand). My youngest daughter is attending the University of South Florida with a major in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Interpreter Training Track. She is absolutely beautiful when she signs, it's like poetry in motion (proud papa).

She tells me that ASL is much closer to French sign language than BSL. Once again, the US and UK are separated by a common language!

we, Ron & Marieke (DW) decided to book this fantastic cruise. It will be our third cruise by then. Sailing out from Barcelona is also a change because we live on a 2 hour flight from there i.s.o.a 11 hour flight.
