The Little Mermaid on Broadway cast interviews

Thanks for posting this! We got tickets last week - front orchestra next March 9th! We saw Titus in Good Vibrations twice - I have his autograph and a picture of Dh with him! :woohoo: :woohoo:

I was so happy to get front row mezzanine for my birthday in November. Can't wait to see this production. The Little Mermaid came out in theaters in 1989 the year my dd was born, to this day Ariel is her favorite.

(Dh is much thinner now LOL!)

Thanks for posting this, I read it this morning and didn't think to post it here...duh!

Titus is awesome! His duet with David Reiser in Good Vibrations of "Sail on Sailor" gave me goose bumps. I actually know Titus, and he is so excited about this production. He gave up his role in the chorus of Jersey Boys to do this.

We'll be there for opening night, and again Christmas week since we bought tickets for my DD and my nieces for Christmas gifts.

YES!! I thought Good Vibrations was awesome, we saw it twice and wanted to go again, then it closed. Whatever happened to David? His website is never updated. I think the critics are crazy sometimes. We saw LeStat last year with Carolee Carmello - she was awesome. I couldn't believe it closed so fast! We just saw Mamma Mia last Sunday for the third time, and brought her the playbill from Lestat to autograph. She is so nice!!!

Don't get be started on Jersey Boys - we've gone twice and are going again next April!!! :woohoo:

I LOVED Good Vibrations too! The critics were very harsh, the production had a lot of problems in previews, opening night was delayed and unfortunately it all contributed to the early closing.

I have no idea what happened to David. he was so talented and so sweet. I've asked Titus and he hasn't heard from him in over a year. My DD and I were lucky enough to attend the faux-opening night (the originally scheduled opening night) show and the cast party...it was great. The entire cast was soo sweet and most of them were making their Broadway debut. We have pictures, but they are on my home computer. Did you know that the girl who played Rhonda and was in the chorus (Melina Govich) is Detective Green's new partner on Law and Order?!

I know what you mean about Jersey Boys, I've seen it a few times. By next April, there may be some cast changes :rolleyes1 but I believe they will be good ones!

Please don't tell me John is leaving?

Did you see Pirate Queen? Another great show that closed so fast. Sebastian Arcelus (Good Vibrations) is engaged to the girl who played the lead.

No, not John, they'd be nuts to let him leave for any reason!

I didn't get to see the Pirate Queen, but heard good things about it. Good for Sebastian! Last time I saw him was back stage at Good Vibrations and she was throwing a duffle bag at him! lol

They really are! Great pictures with David and Sebastian!

I'll have to send you the pics we took at the opening party. One in particular that embarasses my DD (18 at the time) to death...Heath Calvert (Played in the ensemble, most memorably as the cowboy) as I took the picture he turned and kissed her. She nearly fainted!

Oh, you have to post the pictures!! :yay:

I can't participate in the Good Vibrations conversation but we did get our Little Mermaid tickets already. I got orchestra seats for the second day its in previews! We can't wait!!:cool1:

Sorry we went so far off topic!

That's great! Please give us a review afterwards. I can't wait to see this show!

One more off topic note...I will post the pictures from GV when I get home.

:flower3: Sorry for going off like that - i tend to get a tad excited about Broadway! :yay:

CinderellaIam, I am waiting for pictures!!! ;)

We went to see Xanadu yesterday. I really don't know what to say :confused3 :confused3

We laughed our heads off, I didn't realize it was such a spoof. They were making fun of the "jukebox" musicals. The sets were almost non-existant, they had audience sitting on the stage (like Spring Awakening) which I find distracting. It was very funny, but I could tell a lot of the jokes went right over DH's head - he was like  :rotfl2:

The best part was that we had 5th row, center orchestra seats - Cheyenne Jackson is now in the lead - I could stare at him all day! We saw him in "All Shook Up" twice. We brought him the playbill from that show to sign and he liked that!

We got the tickets for $49 before the show opened. I really don't think I would have appreciated paying $111 for this show.

It's one of those shows that will either close the minute the critics see it; or it will be a surprise hit. I'm dying to see which way this one goes.

I did not really feel the need to go back and see it a second time - so for me not one of the best things I've seen.

Sorry, but I don't think I can recommend this one.

DH came home yesterday with tickets to Legally Blonde!!!

I am dying to see that little dog :lmao:

We're seeing The Little Mermaid in mid-December.

You're going to love Legally Blonde. What a fun show.:thumbsup2
