I’m worried we won’t be able to get a reservation for Makahiki breakfast in sept. Any tips?

My friend's week was this week......she had problems EVERY DAY on selecting the time and it making her log in AGAIN and then the time was gone.....EVERY DAY.....

My thought would be to try to be logged in in any other disney site you can think of to not have to sign in AGAIN after you select a time and lose the time.....

now I am crossing my fingers for her for any luck AFTER the reservation dates have passed.....

I have always failed when trying to do it online and been successful when calling later that same day. That's usually a larger party around 9 so maybe that's part of it.

I have been successful in the app. I always make sure I am logged in and I try to book some other dining to be sure the process is going to work. Requires getting up an extra 5-10minutes early to be sure I have everything in order.

Side note: I had a reservation I cancelled while there and many other people cancel too, so you have a shot at getting a time by checking with the restaurant day of. Also check the app while you are there you will see reservations become available. There are also paid services that notify you of dining openings. I cant share the sites that offer that on the boards though.

i went last year around labor day and did not have issues on the website getting a brunch reservation, then we made an extra dinner reservation while there with no issue

Slots can be locked for 10 or 15 minutes once someone else selected. Even if you don't see it 6AM EST (HI midnight I think), you might still get a chance 10-ish miniutes later.
Also, unless it's peak peak season, you can see some spots opening up a couple days before as people cancel. I have grabbed such leftover slots in previous stays last-minute. You might need to adapt to the time though
