I really wanted to go to culinary school, it just costs to much. The one that was on cannery row shut down last year.
That's something I'm currently looking into. Everything I know is self-taught, but I'm getting so much better at it that I can usually just put together any recipe and it comes out great, like the pound cake I made a couple weeks ago. I'd never made it before. The only problem is that the cheapest pastry program I found was a certificate in pastry arts and was $17,000. An associate's is $35,000 or $45,000 depending on the school. So... Until I can afford it, I can't go.

OUCH! Education is expensive in the US.

Thats what it comes down to the money.
Yep. UnfortunatelyBecause I am really good at it, and I'm not just boasting. Everyone who tries the things I bake tells me I need to either go to school and do this for a living or open my own shop and do this for a living
But the idea that people would pay me to bake is just amazing![]()
So....there would be no need to stop by that bakery you were telling me about on the way to the airport???
If I knew how to make that fudge frosting, then no.
But I don't know how to make it
