Wow! Wouldn't that be something if he went to the 01/26 party. Well, I can dream that he was the one who waved to me and my sister and said "I'll call you!"

You never know! I've had cast members tell me he frequents the World. I think he probably uses the Utildors to get around some though. Maybe. Someone told me that he hid out once in the Splash Mountain back area-thingie when the crowds got thick.

However, his wife mighta smacked him if he'd told another girl to call him. :lmao:

I forgot to mention that special pins for the event were available. We bought ours in Frontier Land. I believe there were 3 to choose from, one of which was for AP holders. They say Princess + Pirate Party 2007. There was also a large pin (about 4 inches) for the event. I think that ran $20 or $25. Children did have toy swords and toy guns. They looked absolutely precious in their costumes!

They also had a cute shirt for misses/women in the POC store. It was pink and long sleeved. One side said, some days I'm a Princess. princess: The other side said, Some days I'm a Pirate pirate: . Of course there was a $30 Disney price tag attached to it, but it was cute. They also had silver skull + crossbone rings accented with either red or pink stones, only $5.

I would like to go again, but we're not going back until April.

I do think the unusually cool weather has hurt the attendance so far. But, if you bundle up, you will have a great time with very small crowds.:goodvibes

I'd love that!:rotfl:

Oh and if you have a little girl there is a little "room" setup with a mirror to take pictures at---have your DD there when the fireworks start and have her looking into the mirror and you can get some great shots of her in the mirror with the fireworks behind her also in the mirror!!

Could you tell me where this is please?! I would love to get pictures of DD in her Belle dress.

31 days until we leave. I'm ready to start packing now! LOL

Went to the first pirate princess party 1/22 it was simply fantastic. We picked up our tickets at Magic Kingdom 2 days before the party and the castmember advised us we could enter the park at 4:00pm. When you enter they give you a bracelet using your party ticket. We took advantage of this and was able to do a bunch of rides before the event started...plus we got to see Wishes fireworks (which I love). The Party fireworks were out of this world! Especially when the pirates take over the castle!! It's a must if you are there. Enjoy!

We were at the party on the 29th. We nearly froze, which took away much of the fun, but we stuck it out... as did so many others.

There were absolutely no lines for the rides, but the lines for characters were rediculous. They promised a "private audience" with the princesses, but it wasn't even close. After 30 minute waits, we had barely enough time to pose for a photo before we were rushed out of there. I was not pleased. Expecting something special for the last night of our trip, I saved all the princesses for this party. We spent almost the whole party waiting in long lines.

The line for Jack Sparrow was nearly an hour and we got about 1 minute with him. So, be prepared to waste most of the night standing in line if you want to see characters.

If I did it again, I would skip the characters and the treasure and simply do rides, the parade and watch the fireworks.

Another thing to note... they say you can view the fireworks from anywhere in the park and while that is true, the best viewing is still in front of the castle since they are doing special lighting effects, that you cannot see when you are somewhere else.

Hi cruisinpenguin,

I have a quick question, we have tickets reserved for 2-23 party. We will be in Epcot 2-20. My question is, can we pick up the tickets 2-20 while we are in Epcot? if so, where would be pick them up? My guess would be Guest Relations???

Speak of cold, we were in Magic Kingdom last Nov for Thanksgiving, it was freezing, it actually snowed that eve (a sprinkle) The long lines in the park that night was, hot cocoa & hot coffee. I felt so sorry for all the Princess in the parade. Next week, I am packing, the gloves & hats this time (Just in case)

Any info about the princess & pirates entry would be great

Thanks

Patricia

Okay so whats this hoohah about Johnny Depp being at a P&P last week. My friend works @ Floridian and said he went.

OK this is about the 4th time that I heard of Depp being in Florida last weekend. That morning of Jan 26th went to Epcot after Ohana breakfast and security was extra tight at Epcot, K9, the bag checkin was completely moved to a different area and extra Dis police. DH and I thought it was because of the press events and Iger and Lassiter (Pixar) being there. (Yes Lassiter was to be there for Nemo stuff.)

While shopping in Epcot asked a CM about the hoopla and advised some international actors were doing some spots and the rumor mill was Depp was on WDW property. Then that night at P&P another lady standing next to me while waiting for the Jack Sparrow tutorial said she heard he was spotted at the Contemporary that day. Then when I got home a friend stated her gossip online page said he was in Florida at that time as well.

Well that all just makes sense now why after the Jan 26th Pirate and Princess Party 8:45 PM Capt'n Jack tutorial I wanted to take Capt'n Jack home with me.......nothing like the real thing, baby!!! :cool1: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have it!! And it is very cute. If anyone wants this be careful on sizing, it does run small.

Just bought tickets for the 15th & ordered DS his Pirate costume! I'm having the costume "overnighted" since we are leaving in about 6 days. I sure hope nothing goes wrong. It said it was in stock when I ordered it.

I totally agree! We went on 2/1, and went over to see the princesses. Even at 11:45pm we waited in a pretty long line! My kids loved the parade, the show and the fireworks. They also loved just walking on the rides!

They really liked Ariel's dance party, too. They wanted to stay longer, but we had to move along.

I was sad to see that not many families dressed up that night. I saw a lot of kids and a lot of Dads, but not whole families. We all dressed up and some people thought my husband worked at the park!

Anyone else going March 8th? Its the last night of the party, do you think it will be very crowded? I havent bought the tickets yet (waiting for income tax check:laughing: ). I can't wait to go, my kids don't even know were going to Disney World!!!! I can't wait to see the look on their faces!:goodvibes

DS's costume came in today and it looks ADORABLE!!!! I can't wait!! We leave on Friday. WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

I'm going to the party on the 26th of February... I hope it's not too cold then..... so are you all saying we should skip the character meet and greets and candy? We went to the Halloween Party and we skipped the candy and meet and greets then too, as it was way too busy!

Oh, and just F.Y.I. for those of you who heard about Johnny Depp being there.... I dont know that he was... but I did find something out...

my brother in law works for Disney in the corporate offices, and he told me that when famous people are there, they usually take them thru the underground corridors to the rides, etc... and sometimes, when a ride will shut down for a short period of time, where they put signs up saying it will be shut down momentarily (or you get some other unexplainable reason why the ride has shut down...) and sometimes turns into an hour, that sometimes famous people have come up thru the corridor entrance and they automatically get special treatment. Nice huh?

Just my two cents of what I know to be fact......

Anyways, I can't wait to go to the pirate and Princess Party.....
I hope it is worth the money!

I'm keeping up a list of the March 8th goers (couldn't fit it in the poll) on the bottom of the first post. It's a short list compared to those who answered in the poll, but I think that's just because it's easier to vote in a poll than it is to type a reply... There will be some cheer competitions coming for that weekend (March 10/11) and another poster said that she knows some of those folks will be attending the March 8th party.

Have fun surprising your kids, how cool! :cool1:

Does anyone know if the characters stay out during the parades and fireworks? Just curious?? Thanks!!!!:)

Yes, you can pick your tickets up anytime from any of the 4 parks. Just go to any open ticket window and they'll need your confirmation number and ID. I picked mine up at MGM the day before we went on 1/29. Have fun! The walk-on rides were the best part for me. We did all the rides in about an hour and a half, had some hot dogs at Casey's and watched the fireworks. It was a great night!
