We just got back from the World. The PP Party was really a lot of fun. :jumping1: The parade was very creative. Of course, the big moment for many was seeing Jack Sparrow on top of the Pirate Ship. He was a great look alike!

My sister and I (both dressed as pirates pirate: pirate: ) both waved at Jack. He saw us, then turned back around, put his hand up to his eyes, then moved one hand to his ear and mouth, then pointed right at us while mouthing "I'll call you!" Too funny. Of course both us were laughing so hard after this.:lmao:

Because the weather was cold, :cold: the park was not crowded. Wait times were non-existant or at the most 10 minutes. I would do it again just for the fantastic fireworks.

We've been to both MNSSHP + MVMCP, and I'd rate PPP fireworks at the top. pixiedust:

Thanks so much for putting this thread together! GREAT JOB.

If you're planning to go to WDW on a Monday or Friday night... Go to the Party!!!

Thanks for the report. I am really looking forward to the pirate: & princess: party: on Feb. 1

We were there on the 29th... brrr. It was pretty chilly, but the park felt nearly empty. We got our parade spot right on the ropes in Frontierland for the 8:30 parade at 8:25. The rides had no lines but DD had already done all of them multiple times earlier in our week and wasn't interested in a lot of riding on party night. We did some, of course, but not as many as I'd have liked to do. We did mostly character meets and treasure spots (I guess looking for X's is a lot of fun when you're 4 years old, lol). I LOVED the fireworks! I thought they were the best I've seen... even better than Wishes and Hallowishes. The dance party in Fantasyland looked like fun for little ones too, but we just watched for a minute or two, DD didn't want to dance.

I was disappointed that there wasn't free face painting like at MNSSHP. It was full price at P&P. Oh well, can't have it all I guess. ;)

We were at the P&P on the 29th also, great party! I was hesitant at first to go but so glad that we did. We went to the Bibity Bobity Boutique first, then dinner at Ohana's and then on to the party--it was a magical night. We also got picked to march in the family parade down Main Street, what a surprise! There were no crowds to speak of, walked on EVERY ride, could not believe it. My girls enjoyed the dance parties and looking for the treasure spots. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Thank you bonzie1, jcemom(Tracey!) and TMTIP(Tracy!) for the reports. I'm glad to hear you all had a great time at the party! I feel like our trip (and the party) is so close...yet so far... LOL I love hearing all these reports, thanks guys! :)

I was at the first 3 Pirate and Princess Parties :goodvibes I was able to get the Annual Passholder rate for all 3 Parties :goodvibes I think it's awesome that I can say that I was at the first 3 Pirate and Princess Parties that Disney ever did :goodvibes Since my birthday vacation was from the 20th to the 30th, I was there for all those Parties :goodvibes I turned 30 and I went to the party 3 times :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

This photo was taken at the Party :cloud9: I gave roses to both Drizella and Anastasia, but Drizella held both of the roses for the photo :p Anastasia allready has a boyfriend, so maybe this is why Drizella was flirting with me more ;)

I like this photo so much that I had it printed out and framed during this DisneyWorld trip :p :flower3: :cloud9:

My first post! Very excited for our trip end of Feb, beg of March. We're taking DD to P&P Feb 26 with Grandma and Grandpa. I was able to get a reservation for dinner at the Castle that night, but I'm wondering if that's a waste of time when we could be meeting all the characters outside? Any opinions?

Thanks for helping out the newbie!

Okay so whats this hoohah about Johnny Depp being at a P&P last week. My friend works @ Floridian and said he went.

I heard the same thing. (You don't post on OhNoTheyDidnt do you? - you may have been the one to tell me)

He was definitely in Florida. Video is on YouTube of him performing with his old band The Kids in South Florida on Sunday.

Well we booked a last minute trip to Disney and will be there Feb. 3-8 and will be going to the P&P Party on the 5th I hope to see you all there who are going on that night. I will be the mother with the three bad little p[irates pulling her hair out. We are taking my DS6, DS5, AND DS2. My DS2 is afraid of characters around our home town, and I hope he does better with Disney characters or he will be a screaming cying mess at Disney, but he insists he wants to go. He is less than a month away from being 3 so we figured we better try it while it is free lol. Have fun everyone!

Wow! A Castle dinner. I didn't know they were available. When I called they said the only 2 restaurants would be Tony's and LTT! As long as your reservation is before the party starts (prior to 7:30)... say in the 5 to 6 area, I would say you'd be fine.

We love eating in the castle. ENJOY THE PARTY!

Wow! Wouldn't that be something if he went to the 01/26 party. Well, I can dream that he was the one who waved to me and my sister and said "I'll call you!"

What time is your ADR?

Just wanted to let ya'll know I just found a website called cafepress.com which has over 1,000 different styles of pirate shirts, buttons, hats, etc...

They have a really cute shirt that I just ordered for my daughters to wear to the party on the 23rd that has a pink skull/crossbones and says Pirate Princess on it.

Can't wait to keep reading more fabulous reviews!

Lillygator - please post when you return from the party - can't wait to hear about the crowds - and :offtopic: but, congrats to your Gators - we are huge LSU fans, but you guys won it fair and square and I am sooooo happy for the SEC! Three teams in the top 10!

Have a great time at the party everyone!

Our 3rd turns 3 the day after the P&PP we're attending. I have no idea how he's going to be with the characters this trip! His last time was when he was a few months before turning 2, so as you kow they change a lot in that time. We shall see! Have a great time! :)

we are going tonight! Can't wait!!

WooHoo, have fun tonight!!! :yay:

OH>>>Have FUN!!
:woohoo:

And please come back and tell us what you thought...we are going Feb 23 and making QUITE a big deal out of it...Mother/Daugher thing...

We went to the P&PP on 1/26 and we had a blast!! We just did the treasure coves and character meet and greets--we didn't go on any rides!

The cove lines went by fairly quickly but the characters took a bit longer as you can imagine!

We like FC also met Anastasia and Drizella and their mom Lady Lucinda(?)(need to check the autograph book)

We had dinner reservations at Tonys at 6:05 and it was great because by the time we were done most of the people had cleared out but there was a steady stream coming in.

The fireworks were awesome and went off on both sides so it was hard to look from side to side constantly because you never knew where the were going to go off!

Oh and if you have a little girl there is a little "room" setup with a mirror to take pictures at---have your DD there when the fireworks start and have her looking into the mirror and you can get some great shots of her in the mirror with the fireworks behind her also in the mirror!!
