Snap, I think my knees became sunburnt from sitting in a chair, feeding the baby.
Yes, we are unpacked. And the laundry is finished. Well, the beach laundry is finished, laundry itself is never finished.
The aquarium was lots of fun! We went on a Thursday, so there wasn't a lot of people. One school group and one adult daycare group. The school was loud, but that's how kids are. It wasn't a big deal. And, if you think about it, we were a school group, too. I think S had the most fun. She loved it! I think she would have climbed in the touch tank with the rays if she could have. She, also, would have happily climbed in with the dolphins. DS, letter C, had the best moment, though. While outside, S said, "look at that school of fish." C, "Where? In the water?" DH, "No, floating in the sky where you usually find fish." We teased him about that the whole weekend. Where do you think the fish are, son!
The beach itself was obnoxiously windy. The kids had fun playing in the sand, but the wind was too much. We've been there when it's windy before, but not like this. I'm pretty sure we all ended up windburnt. DH had enough and we left. We came home Saturday instead of Sunday.
But, they had fun Saturday night, too. Those of you on facebook saw the little video they made with the doll. That doll had been through a lot more before that.
And, Sunday... we stayed home. I saw on the news Monday that a small pipe bomb was found less than 2 miles from our house. A teen was walking his dog and found it on the side of the road. The bomb squad came and diffused it. No one was hurt and I don't think there was really much danger. Still, kinda crazy to have something like that close to our house.
