The I Love BWV (yes, Hallways and Clown Pool too!) Thread

It's really dependent on the neighbors. Our last trip in a 1 bed was noisy because they had a fairly young child that we could hear crying and making noise. That's not an issue for me as I know my kids are noisy as well. I did roll up a towel to put at the base to help some for both sides. I also keep a couple of white noise machines in my Owner's Locker and we kept one by the door as well for blocking out some of the noise at night.

we have a 1BD P/G view booked later this year. are BWV 1BDs that have a connecting room pretty quiet, or are they noisy to where you can hear your neighbor? We've never had an issue with noise from connecting rooms at other resorts, but wondering what others experiences have been at BWV. Debating if I should put in a request for a dedicated room.
We were in a 1 bed lock off and it was so quiet. So quiet I wondered if it was vacant. But we were there 4 days, it surely couldn’t have been empty for 4 days during a holiday week.

Have just bought BWV and so excited to stay there next year! Quick question, if we buy resort mugs what’s the nearest refill point to the villas? Surely it’s not all the way at the boardwalk shops?

Yes unfortunately that is where you refill. You can go to the pool bar and ask the bartender to refill and they will. Often its a wait and they dont seem thrilled to be stuck with the task (at least on our trip in April), if the Boardwalk one is open we just refilled there.

Dang was hoping there might be a freestyle machine nearer, oh well will get my steps in when I do the morning drinks run 😀

I stopped buying refillable mugs when I stay at Boardwalk. It’s so inconvenient to fill. It makes more sense to have a grocery delivery of some cans, especially the small ones fit well in the fridge in the studio. Poly is the same way.

Beach club and Riviera I absolutely buy the refillable mug cause it’s very convenient on your way up to your room.

They really need to put one in Carousel Coffee or in the seating area to the right of the check in desk. I won't get the mugs when we are at Boardwalk.
I was just thinking the same thing. Even with them closing at 2ish they could maybe put one in the corner near where the window and cream/sugar table.

When we get our points we’re hoping to book a 2 bed for 10 nights in December 2026. I know this will be in January that we can book. My worry is that we won’t be able to get the exact dates we want by just waiting til the 11 month window. Are we best to try and walk a res if we need a very specific date?

You may be able to get it without walking if you’re booking a preferred view and not boardwalk or resort view.

When is your use year?

We’ll be an October UY so don’t mind walking it a bit if needed. Don’t mind which view, so long as it keeps to no more than 450 points for the stay.

I had to book a 2 bedroom AND an additional studios for 1st week of Sept (which apparently is very popular as its low point season) but was able to secure it at the 11 month window.

Is this for Christmastime?

Will you be able to borrow from 2027?

It is 480 points for a preferred room from 12/18 to 12/27/26 but you might be able to walk a resort view that is 400 points.

You can use any 2025 points that were banked, 2026 points and are able to borrow from 2027.

Just a reminder your 2024 points will need to be used by September 30, 2025 as the banking deadline has past for the October use year.

Yes our plan is bank oct 25, borrow 2027. We’ve got a 150 contract coming and from uk so not travelling every year. Planning 10-12 nights points permitting.

Sorry to add, we’re planning 12/12 or there abouts for arrival.
340 Resort View and 428 for both Boardwalk and Preferred View.

It looks like you will be able to bank a few 2027 points into 2028 assuming you are receiving the full 150 for 2025.

You should be able to get the resort view eventually but you will probably have to follow walkers. The preferred view is going to be the easier option.

You will not be able to book all 10 days at once so I would see if the resort rooms start opening up as you are booking.

The first day you can book 7 days and then you can add an additional day, the next day and so on until you get to your 10 nights.

On this calculator put in your dates and then click points and it will show you how many are needed.
