Q:How many My Little Ponies are needed to change the lightbulb?

A: All of them. One will change the lightbulb while the rest will cheer him on how great he is.

yep...here all week:thumbsup2

I have been absent for the last few days. Absent from Disboards, absent from life, absent from sleep. Just completely absent. Where have I been you may ask (and even if you don't ask or really couldn't care less, I'm going to tell you :lmao:).

The last few days I have spent, almost entirely, with Christian Grey! Yes, I'm talking one night until 4am (giving myself 2 hours sleep and that took care of book one), next night until 5.40am, giving myself 45 minutes sleep (that took care of book two) and then until 4am the next night (last night), where my journey with Christian finished. Knocked the three books over in 3 days!

I have been left empty and feeling very lost today, it's very strange. I have to say that the first book (50 Shades of Grey), took me until about 3/4's of the way through to really get into or like, but from then on, I was literally glued to my kindle!

So I'm back. I'm still a little lost, wishing there was a book 4 and now I wait for the movie, that isn't even in production! :rotfl2:

Becpee, I 100% think that Ian Somerhalder is the perfect guy for the role at Christian. Funny I was just reading today that he is being thought of for the role and he himself said he would be interested. OH Boy! I need to get back to reality :rotfl:

It really gets you, doesn't it?
I was absent also, and hated having to go to work as it removed me from my book.
What is it about it that it keeps you there?
I'm still trying to figure it out, thinking of going back and reading again popcorn:::laughing:
And I get why men were going out and buying it for their wives :rolleyes1
One of the girls I work with, 21 year old hates his character, hates everything about him.
Me? I'm not sure
He would certainly add a bit of spice to my life :p
I still think Chris Hemsworth would be up to the part, he has smouldering eyes and a red hot bod :thumbsup2

See I couldn't stand him in the beginning! Like really at 1/4 of the way through I was going to put it down because I just thought he was a pig! But then as I kept reading and got to know him (oh yes, we did get to know him well :rotfl2: ), he really grew on me! But that end of book 3, from his side, I was cracking up, saying, OMG, you were such a pig :rotfl2: But I do like him, I could do with one of him :rotfl2:

Yep, LOL
Reading at the beginning I had no idea where it was going, I hadn't read reviews, hadn't let people tell me about it, so I was finding out for myself.
We could all do with a Christian Grey, and anybody who says they don't need one is lying
Give me the money and all that goes along with it :rotfl2:

:worship:

Reading at the beginning I had no idea where it was going,

That was me too, I had only heard from a friend that it was a bit "raunchy". Well it certainly was not what I was expecting! Particularly in the beginning, I was a bit shocked and when he would say "sit" or "eat". I was telling him where to go :rotfl2: I couldn't stand a man like that! But then over time :love::love: all that changed! Particularly as we got to know him and why he was the way he was :sad1: and the way he ended up being with her

Oh I agree, anyone who says they don't want a Christian Grey, in some way, is a fibber :rotfl:

I'm tempted to read it, but I'm pretty contrary, so I'm pretty sure that I've already decided I don't like it, simply because of the amount of people who do like it :lmao:

Bec, I didn't like it for the first half to 3/4's of the first book! I just didn't like the character and really had trouble reading it. So if you do, don't be surprised if you don't like the beginning (or middle).
But it does get good. Even my mother couldn't stop reading. She called me at work as she finished the first one and couldn't get the 2nd on her kindle. I said that I'd stop by on my way home and download it for her. She said "oh forget it, I'll work it out, I need it now" :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Well when I finished the first one, I couldn't get the 2nd on my kindle (at 4am) fast enough!

See, that is normally me LOL
Never read a Harry Potter, a LOTR or any of that type of thing, I just don't get sucked in, but I wanted to see what it was all about because one of the girls at work was reading it and when she talked about it she would blush  so I needed to see what the fuss was about.
It sucked me in :rolleyes1

I've not read Harry Potter either. I did read the twilight books, also in three days, but I had never heard of them before, or seen a movie but I'm not usually one that get's into cult following books either!

I am however busting for the Shades movies :rolleyes1 As long as they don't cast Robert Patterson or Kristen Stewart  There is talk of that Ryan Gossling, not a fan of him for the role!

Twilight? what is that? LOL

Can't stand Robert Patterson or Kristen Stewart :scared1:

I'm just imagining the scenes :scared1: and Chris Hemsworth is buff as, he could totally pull it off :cool2: It would have to be R rated but I don't think a movie would do it justice, I get so much more out of a book...
Would be nice to see though

Yeah movies rarely do the books justice.

Like P.S. I Love you, it was a beautiful book, but the movie was pretty crappy and didn't even follow the same story line :confused3

So, guess whose a ****head?

Me, that's who.

DH gave me his internet banking details to check his balance and pay off his card as he got paid from his other job, and I transferred it to a closed card at another bank, just saw credit card and did it.
So, now will have to wait for it to bounce back...

What an idiot :headache:
