The I am a pirate/fireman, I am not a hijacker thread, all about nothing in general

heres my 2 cents..or is it 0.01999997...
anyway
since your only working 3 days, enroll in a course you are interested in @ TAFE.....they have some awesome things...find your passion, then maybe a new career will grow from that.. that's what I did....was an engineer..then stay home mum, then tafe library studies, then here.....always loved books etc, so my passion became my career..

tafe 's new semester enrollments starts soon..so jump on line and start looking:thumbsup2

What a clever suggestion Karen :)

I'll swap you jobs :thumbsup2 You can do my 9-5:30 M-F property managment and I'll do your 3 days accounts and payroll. I'm over my job too, but it's not because I've reached a ceiling. :rotfl:

Another off topic discussion

I have been in my current job for sixteen years - started when my DD was 6mths old - 3days per week receptionist. I have since moved on to payroll and accounts, still 3 days per week.

The company is great, dont bat an eyelid when I turn up at 9:30, when my kids were in primary school I told them I cant drop them before 8:30 so I will get there when I get there, at one point I found another job closer to home and they basically said "name your price"- I am paid well for what I do - (although not enough to afford annual OS trips :confused3)

Its not that I am that great, but I am reliable and I think they are just lazy about having to find a replacement :rotfl:

I actually resigned when my twins were born and they rang me twelve months later to do 6 weeks relief. My twins will be fifteen in October! :rotfl2:

But,......I am bored - its a small company so career options are nil - I have hit the ceiling -

I am 43 - is this it until retirement? I really would be foolish to go elsewhere in this climate and even though my kids are now teenagers, I like still working only 3days.

Let the therapy begin........(first world problems, I know...)

I agree with Karen study whilst you work. Whats your passion battymum are you bored because you aren't being challenged anymore or because you cant go any higher where you are?
I do agree with the in this climate part but Life is way to short to be unhappy in what you are doing. :goodvibes :hug:Good luck making your decision:hug:

Anyone watching the season final of American Idol? (Oh, and if anyone knows who wins, please don't say). Man these people can sing.

I was home today; so I saw the show in real time earlier today. :thumbsup2

Honestly, this is the first year that I have really got into it. Normally don't get into these sorts of shows. I'm usually playing on the computer. :surfweb:

I enjoyed John Fogerty. I saw him live a couple of months ago and he was amazing.

I thought the the top 6 singers this year was the best top 6 group in a long, long time. So, you probably picked a reasonable year if this is your first time watching AI.

Enjoy the rest of the results show.

Love the Bee Gees. RIP Robin Gibb :littleangel:

The boys sound great and are doing a great job of the songs.

Aerosmith... doing a great job. :thumbsup2

Sooooooo looking forward to seeing them live at the Hollywood Bowl while we are there.

Sorry about my AI ramble. Just really enjoying it. popcorn::

I'm sleepy... Is anyone else sleepy? I blame the weather...

:surfweb:

Temperatures of 11 C in Melbourne and just on 30 mm of rain in the chity. Sleepy???

Completely whacky.....but is anyone else watching The Road to Eurovision? :rotfl2:

oh karen, i feel your pain. i cracked a tooth last year and had to have it removed. blech!!

i am off to my parent's house today to celebrate mother's day, as we couldn't get together on the actual day. kinda belated, but at least the whole family will be there. i feel the need to prepare for battle :)

on an aside, my sister's birthday is coming up and i purchased a few disney dollars which i intend to mat and frame for her, as she's moving out in a few months and i figured what's better on the walls of your new home than disney stuff :)

Completely whacky.....but is anyone else watching The Road to Eurovision? :rotfl2:
