The I am a pirate/fireman, I am not a hijacker thread, all about nothing in general

Funny story :lmao:

I got to work at about 6:30 this morning and one of the guys rings up at about 7:30 and says he can't get into work this morning as the police won't let him through the road block (the same road clock they'd let me and somebody else through).
The girl on the phone to him says "there are other people here that they let through an hour ago"
He says "Do you want to speak to the police? You can talk to them"
"Actually, yes, put them on, I just sent a truck that way, they have to let the truck through"
Beep beep beep.
He hung up.
20 minutes later he walks in the door, sheepish and looking at his feet, calling his bluff worked :rotfl:

I have my niece and nephew here this morning after staying the night, my niece thinks everything is a competition (she's 7), if you say anything she's always done/seen better and it drives me insane :crazy2:
I know it's weird to be driven insane by a 7 year old but :upsidedow

All the kids are playing in the toyroom, playing Thomas the tank, and I can hear them talking as the engines, and they're all talking with an American accent :rotfl2:

wait till the litle princess hits 14:lmao:

i remember me at 14, I'm surprised I didnt punch myself in the head on more than a few occasionspirate:

yes, we are annoying, but we do know nice shoes when we see them...

today was a bad day to give up geriatric yoga :upsidedow

Oh I know right, love her to death but princess certainly fits, she was telling my mum about Barbie and Ken the other day and then she says "Oh wait Nanny, you're not obsessed with Barbie like I am, are you? Thats what my mum says anyway" :lmao:

No secrets around her either, at the dinner table last night my DH says "imagine this many" (kids) and my niece pipes up and says "my mum wants another one" and I said "wants another what?" and she replies "another baby, but Daddy says no".
Gotta tell my sister to be careful what she says around the parrot, she talks too much :joker:

I've got one of those at homeprincess:

Beautiful one day, a seething pile of disdain the next!

I do love her, really, but geez sometimes she's hard work. Got a boyfriend now too, as well, as her first paid job. Where did the time go?

It will be funny to see what she does with her hands when she realises she can't use her phone whilst we are on our cruise, maybe I'll have to buy her some worry beads or a squeeze ball, hehehe.

Dont get me started on teenage girls -:faint:

So glad I only had one!

She is exhausting - my twin boys get forgotten in the one man storm that she can be!

Yes, I can relate to the teenage girl dramas. I took my DD14 shopping for a pair of jeans yesterday. I presumed it would be simple but how wrong I was! Two hours later, she finally made a decision! :rolleyes2

gone are the days of big w jeans.....plus jumpers, t's and shoes.....

let the all day wandering aimlessly at westfield begin:sad:

Smack that out of her, I hate people like that! :headache:

So, Fifty Shades of Grey...:coffee:
I read the whole thing in a night couldn't put it down, all 512 pages of it.
Off to buy the others today, there are words I could se to describe it, they might be censored :scared1:
Very well written for Mummy porn ;)

Rated R?

Who would play the male lead I wonder? My Zac Efron may be a little too young yet...

George Clooney too old...

I'm going to have to think about this...

Scarlett is too pretty, Kristen is too ugly

Jennifer Lawrence?
or an unknown would fit the part...

Channing Tatum OMG you might have hit the nail on the head!

I haven't read the books, so I don't know how much of a description they give of the woman in it, but in Lost in Translation Scarlett looks like "the girl next door" sort of pretty. :confused3

I hope my motivation picks up this week, I only have 2 weeks of work until our holidays and I really don't feel like doing any work... :confused3 :rotfl:

2 weeks!
I'm jealous

They don't give a real description of the female lead, but I don't think she's characteristically pretty, maybe an unusual pretty?

Scarlette is just gorgeous all the time...
