The I am a pirate/fireman, I am not a hijacker thread, all about nothing in general

awww floods suck. when we had the flooding here in bris, my work flew us down to melbourne so we could work out of the office there :(

thing was i had never even been to melb, and didn't get to sight see or anything cause we were too busy working...

I went in for a few hours, but left because there was talk they were closing the bridge and people are now officially stuck at work, i'm glad I left :scared1:
And i'm supposed to start at 6:30am tomorrow :scared1::scared1:

Road is now closed going in there, can't see that changing until they are able to survey the situation tomorrow, i'm not driving there in the dark, it's a country road :sad2:

Oh gosh Bec, it does not sound like a good idea to be driving in the dark with flooded roads in the area! Stay safe now! :goodvibes

Just make sure you and your family stay snuggly warm and dry at home. Hope the weather eases for you. Keep safe.

No work for me today...

And I did buy Fifty Shades of Grey yesterday...the girls at my work are raving about it

Honestly, I am the only female that I know that has not read that book (well all three books)!!!! :confused3 . Even my mother has read them all, this week, after I told her the other day about everyone reading this trilogy of books that none of them can seem to put down. She bought all three on her ipad/kindle and hasn't put them down. :confused3

So about 2 weeks ago I downloaded it onto my ipad/kindle, but I have not found 5 minutes to pick it up and if it's like the Twilight books, I read all 4 of those in 5 days, so I know if I start, my life will stop. So will wait until I'm up at Hamilton Island or something when I can just relax and read for days on end.

Update  Have you put the book down yet today?

Wow that's not good with the flooding roads.

Never heard of this shades of grey stuff until kinokunia were posting about it a few weeks ago. Still have no idea what it is. But I never plan to read twilight so if this is at all like that I'll never be reading that grey series.

I work in a team of guys so there's no girl talk. I enjoy it actually. :thumbsup2

Men are starting to read them too!!!!! :rotfl: Actually, yesterday on a local radio station they were giving away the trilogy to a guy only!

The books are nothing like twilight in the storyline department. They are like twilight in the sense that once you start reading you can't stop and they are a series that has gone viral! Nothing to do with vampires and not for the same generation, they are not for 15 year old girls to read

The 50 Shades of Grey trilogy is explicitly erotic fiction!!!! :rolleyes1 Apparently not something that anyone can elaborate on..... from what friends have been saying and the guys on the radio in the morning, it's something that you have to read yourself :rotfl:.

half of you take care of the flood waters, the other lot take care of those soft porn novels....

i go away for a few days and come back to mayhem and chaos..nice work ladies:thumbsup2

I could do with less mayhem and chaos in Victoria right now. Soft porn? Hmmm......

a friend is reading shades of grey..but refuses to read it in public...she says it very "interesting".....she cant get enough of them:confused3

One of my friends has described it as "raunchy". My mother has read the three of them this week and she said "oh boy, they are a bit much for a single woman" :rotfl: Um, a bit too much info thanks mum :blush:

DS had his school concert tonight, so cute :cloud9:

Off to work in the morning, hope it doesn't rain overnight, apparently alot of the water has receded but who knows until you try and get through it.

Victoria has 3 islands now I think, Philip Island, French Island and the newly created island where I work LOL

The afternoon had such nice weather, they were sandbagging this afternoon, trucks of sand coming in from town.

Tomorrow will be interesting, would it be weird to take some spare clothes just in case? (when I was younger I used to keep spare clothes in my car )

Tomorrow afternoon my weekend starts! It's going to be a long day though...

As for Fifty Shades I haven't started yet, my DH asks me when i'm going to get onto it

I have 3 days off, if it's as good as everybody says it shouldn't take me any longer than two.
One of the girls at work was telling me about it and blushing as she was telling me

Well, you can come and tell us about what you thought. We won't see you blushing on the Dis.

Left half a small block of chocolate on the couch last night.

I've just realised it's gone! Dog is looking very guilty!

Can not find box or packet that it was in! :confused3
