The only laundry service that I am aware of is coin operated. We used the machines last year, and boy were they busy.

I don't mean to repeat something but which building is this in? I'm trying to decide where I want to stay in December. Thanks.

Two things - first, there's a link in one of the posts on page one of this thread that displays the actual room 'designation' for the Pop buildings (room numbers, K or D, connection indications). I believe it's primary purpose is accessible rooms, but it shows most/all of a single floor layout.

But I'm curious why people are interested in a specific room? To me, it makes more sense to tell the CM what features you're seeking than to ask for a particular room. I mean, what if 3428 or whatever is taken the day you arrive?

Could someone please tell me how to add the tickers to your posts? Thanks!!

I was asking the question because I have difficulty deciphering that layout on the original post. :confused3 I figured if someone knew the immediate answer that it would just be a simple question to answer. :goodvibes Also asked about that specific room because another poster had stated that it was lakeside with view of fireworks. :maleficen Just curious thats all. :) As with any request, I understand it's just a request, however when we used to camp at Fort Wilderness, and people stated why certain sites were "better", (for varying reasons) I found those site suggestions were always more accurate than what a CM stated. :smooth: I am assuming that this is probably true at POP as well. I have found INVALUABLE :worship: advice/expertise on the DIS boards. The more questions that I have asked, the more info I have to plan an awesome vacation!!!! :thewave:

Madge - FYI - Port Orleans doesn't have a marina.

we stayed there in April, it has boat & bike rentals, as well as a boat that goes to Downtown Disney. :)

Looking on the first map on page 1, If I asked for the wing of Lady bldg. that the stairway is pointed to the parking lot/classic hall, would that work for non-smoking, near food court, near bus stop? Are there connecting rooms in all bldgs? It looks like either side of that wing would work pretty well. Am I right?

The Lady building has smoking & non smoking rooms. If you are wanting a non smoking building I think you would need to get the Jukebox or Tramp building.

This question has probably been asked before but, I didn't want to read the entire thread.

I have an upcomming trip planned for Pop and would like to bring my DVD player. Do the TV's have hookups for the 3 colored plugs???? I know they should have them. However, irecently stayed in a motel and the tv didn't have any jacks on it. Thanks in advance.

Yes, the TV's have RCA jack inputs on the front of them at Pop

We have a first trip to POP booked for 10/1 - 10/9. DH, DD & I will be traveling with MIL and staying in 2 rooms. We aren't picky about room location as we will have our own car and probably won't be eating in the food court all that often. Is there anything we should add to our room location requests besides N/S and connecting rooms??? Those are our 2 main wishes .. anything else would be icing on the cake. Any suggestions you have would be GREATLY appreciated.

Yes, they have the RCA jacks in the front. To activate the port, tune to channel 00. (You can use the Up/Down or press 00)

We were in the 50's in Tramp overlooking the lake and I loved being able to walk out in the morning and feel the peace and quiet while watching the wild life wake up :flower:

The fireworks in the evening are a bonus if you are about at the right time.

Make sure you request adjoining rooms. If I am correct connecting rooms just means 2 rooms by each other, adjoining rooms have the door between the rooms. :sunny:

Actually, I think that's reversed. I think connecting is with a door that opens and adjoining means next to each other. :teeth:

I get confused :rotfl: I know when we went in Feb, we had the rooms with door between the 2 & I do not remember which I asked for :confused3

Well I made our reservations today for Pop century on April 16...will anyone else be there?????????/ Its my 3rd trip and DH and DD 2nd....I cant wait!!!!!

We are currently booked for Pop for our December trip (me, DD's 16, 13 and 7) - I have read previously that the A/C is on a sensor and shuts off when there is no motion in the room. Any truth to that? I like to keep my room cool and would very uncomfortable to come back to a warm room or to wake up in the middle of the night sweating. Please help - I'm honestly considering swtiching to a moderate, but don't really want to spend the extra $$$.

Thanks,
Tammy

I do not recall the A/C shutting off, our room stayed very cool. :goodvibes

I am in a POP room right now and it is friggin freezing mr bigglesworth!!!

I keep increasing the temperature because the ac keeps the room so cool. We are in the 50s building. POP really is great...the pools are so much fun, the arcade is a nice size and the food court uis good too.
