If you have any problems with the mattress, just ask for a room change. It could very well be that your particular mattress was jumped on by little kids more than another mattress.

Thanks Tyler. We tried to change rooms for the entire October trip only to be told that rooms were full (needed ground floor N/S, allergies and traveling with mother with knee brace). Looking forward to going back! :earboy2:

Questions:
- Anyone knows how many elevators in each building of 50s and 70s?
- Thinking of requesting 4th floor rooms but concerned about waiting long for elevators in June trip. What was your experience?
- Also I assume 60s are preferred rooms only (i.e., pay $10 more per night), correct?
- Would you recommend driving from 50s parking lot to close to bus stop (I assume bus stop is in fornt of 60s guest parking? I know its about 4 mins walk, but for physical challenged person, trying to save energy any way I can.

Thanks a lot.

Each building will have 2 elevators, located in the center of the building. They will usually always come quickly. I used them many times each day when I worked there, never had a problem.

All sorts of great info here. Wonder if any knows if they sell fridge magnets in Everything Pop? I collect them. Unfortunately I only got one from AKL but not POR am hoping that POP has them. Thanks.

hi, im new!
very glad i found this thread, i was searching through google lol
im stayin in PC during June 6-10 2005

i might have questions already answered but there are so many pages!
so please bare with me! ;)

okay.. so I want to stay at the 70's building because it is centralized, I want to face the lake, is that building near the buses as well?

where is the buses actually located at? I can't find it in the map

I also want to stay at the 90's building, the era where i grew up,
I want to face the pool, is this building near the buses also? hope its not that far

a decent walk is okay to me

thanks alot all :earsgirl:

Check out my Pop Century presentation on my resorts link. That should answer your questions. Even the furthest room (back of 90's) is at most 7 min from the bus stop. 70's is just fine.

I just read on another DIS thread that someone made a booking a couple days ago for POP and was asked what section (Classic vs. Legendary) they would like to stay in!!!!!!!

Any thoughts?
I thought that construction wasn't even happening right now.

I think you would need to bring your RV if you were to try to stay in the legendary years area...

Just returned from POP, and no, there's only one section open. Just a bunch of empty, forlorn, depressing buildings across the lake.

I recall seeing lots of fridge mags for sale, think I remember seeing a POP one too.

Dennis,
We stayed last June at Pop on the fourth floor of the 50's building and loved it. Never waited long for an elevator at all, and I would have noticed with two tired children every time. Enjoy Pop, you will LOVE IT!

YEAHOO!! I've been away from the boards for a little while because after they changed I couldn't figure out how to subscribe to threads and it was really frustrating me. I am soooo glad to see this here! I was sad when the other one was closed. Thanks Tyler! I am a POP lover and will be for life :)

Food court had both reg. diet coke and caffeine free diet coke. Also they made a slight change since our last visit...no pink lemonade, but added light lemonade, also had apple juice don't remember that from before!

CFDC and light lemonade??? Oh, boy, let me get in line to buy that mug! :teeth:  :worship: :drinking1

Hi there. I am really starting to get excited! We leave for our week stay at POP on Feb 16th. Dh and I will be travelling with our 3 kids DD 11, DS8 and DS 18 months. I know there is a kiddie pool and I only have seen 1 picture of it but I can't tell how deep it is and how the kids get access into the pool? Can anyone help there...also I heard there is an interactive fountain, does anyone have pics of that and also where is that located? Also what buliding should we stay at to be somewhat close to everything but mainly close to the kiddie pool? Thanks a bunch!

We were so excited about the kiddie pool at POP and stumbled upon it and didn't know it was there. It is shallow (zero entry which is nice they can walk right in) and sit in the shallow part if they want to , the deepest was up to my 3 years old's waist at best. There are little round ball type things that squirt water and they can sit in front of them, it is GREAT. The splash fountain area was my 3 year old's favorite last year we LOVED it. We want a room in 70's this year to be closer to all of it, but 50's was great too. Enjoy POP, it's so great for families with young children. We'll have our 20 month old and 4 year old this year so plan on spending a lot of time in the kiddie pool in the hot June afternoon.

CFDC and light lemonade is right up my alley too. My favorite drinks. Non-alchoholic anyway. Thanks for the post about the magnets. The freezer door of my fridge is completely covered, I need to work on the bottom now. We are going in June after school ends and I cannot wait. When we were there in November and we only were able to stay overnight and only got to go to Downtown for a little while. I can't wait for this trip and POP sounds absolutely awesome. It will be me, my DS and her two DD's and my best friend and her three DS's. We are telling the kids that we are going to "Cape Cod" and telling them where we are really going when we get to the airport. It will be my friend and the three boys first trip. We are trying to think of a way to surprise them. The next 4 1/2 months are going to kill me, I have to remind myself to say Cape Cod when we are talking about the trip.
