Hi all!!! Several pages back I posted about putting a air matress in the room, for my older son to sleep on to free up a spot in one of the beds. Because the baby won't sleep all night in the playpen. Anyhoo, I think I am gonna still need the pack and play. Will both fit do you think?? I can take the pack and play down during the night, as I only want it to be able to put him down someplace safe so we can take showers and stuff. Oh geez, It seems like we are gonna take so much stinkin stuff with us, where am I gonna put it all:rolleyes: . Thanks for the help!!

You can request a pack and play from the hotel. We did last time, and it was in good shape and clean. That would be one less item you'd have to bring down.
I would put it on your ressie ahead of time, then there's a chance that it will be in your room when you get there, if you take the room they have assigned you.

I understand about the packing for baby! :thumbsup2

We are back from eight days at POP, and loved every minute! POP is so fun and bright, the pools are warm, the water spray areas were a big hit, the refillable mugs with coke or blue ICEE~fantastic! We had connecting rooms in a 70's building, not preferred, but close to the food court and busses, as well as the hippie dippie pool (we were in the big wheel building) We decorated our windows and doors, and it made it super easy to spot our rooms! We liked Everything Pop for souveniers, thought the food court was great, especially the three scoop ice cream sundae (one snack credit or dessert with a counter service meal). Two thumbs up!
Here are our windows (first one taken first thing in the morning and the camera "fogged" in the humid air right out of the AC.)

The large Minnies in the center are DD's travel bags, and we added treasures from Epcot later in the week, masks, robots, etc.

Thanks! I had a lot of fun planning the trip. The kids really liked seeing their names. I took a dry erase board for the magnetic door and we wrote where we were headed each day "Off to Blizzard Beach". The kids liked to change the message. We also decorated the doors, they sit at an angle to the windows, so you can do something different on them. We used princess, dragon, and castle wall clings on the doors.

Lovely decorations! I wish I was going to be near your room! I've got 43 more days before we get to Pop again! :woohoo:

Love the decorations. I just bought a wreath form to make a Christmas Wreath for when we are there. Now I just have to find Disney decorations to put on it.

I've tried to look through the thread for this, but can't seem to find it so I'm hoping someone will know.

What are the food court hours?

If I remember correctly, the food court hours are 6am-12 midnight. I know that we were there a couple of times late at night getting drinks.

I woke up very early one morning and went for a walk. I talked to the pool cleaning guy for a while and then went to get coffee. The store and the food court were open and it wasn't quite 6 yet. :cool2:

Okay all you Poppers ... you convinced me! I changed my reservation from CBR to Pop, and saved myself a total of $672! I did not pay for a preferred, nor did I request any specific building but politely requested a "lakeview on the top floor."

One question though: Are there coffee makers in the rooms? If not, can I request one and what would be the charge?

Thanks everyone!

You will love POP, I am sure!
No coffeemakers, and I am not sure that you can even request one. There might be fridge swaps that have coffeemakers with them going on, though, or you can start one! A fridge is ten bucks a day to rent from POP, many of the swaps will let you use it for free! Check the budget board.

What are the food court hours?

The food court and Everything Pop officially open at six. At the food court, you can get coffee at six but only one of the food sections is open that early, the one that makes the POP waffles and mickey waffles for kids. If you want pancakes, you have to wait until 6:30 when the next section opens, and yet another part opens at 7. We usually got the freshly made waffles so we could get moving to early magic hours.

Hi,
Hope I am on the right board for this question.
How can I see my reservations at POP ? We made them through AAA with a package and I would like to see it on-line? I really don't want to call, but I will as we get closer, if I need to.
Also, which room do you think is the closest to the food court? I want to get the refillable mug, (I plan to buy) filled with coffee early in the morning, and I hope not to walk far. I know I don't get to choose the room, but if I am lucky, maybe they will ask me which building I want to be in? Could that happen? We are going in the later part of Oct.
Thank you again.

Do you know how late (the food court) stays open? We're going for the holidays and have lots of plans to do evening events and wondered if it'd be open when we got back in for snacks or drinks?

Hello! Welcome to the DIS!

I'm not sure you can see your reservation online when booked through AAA but I could be wrong.

You would be guaranteed close to the food court if you book a preferred room. Or you could have it noted on your reservation (have your AAA do this for you) that you want to be close to the food court. The 50's, 70's and non-preferred section of the 60's are all really close. Only the 80's or 90's could be considered "far" and they really aren't all that far at all.

I hope you have a magical trip and enjoy Pop!

I've been trying to get thru this thread for a week. :surfweb:I'm on page 190. Only 100 more to go. :cool1: Seems like I said that a few days ago. Am I ever going to catch up?:faint:

The food court opens at six AM and closes at midnight (at least it did in August). Not all the sections are open yet at six AM, but all are open at 7AM. They may close in the same way, so maybe not everything is open until midnight. You can certainly refill drinks until midnight, though. We mainly did the morning extra magic hours, but were out two late nights. WE didn't get food, but we filled our mugs with coke icee on the way to the room.

There is not coffee pots available at POP, but sometimes there is a swap goin on, and some people bring their own or buy one once they get to FL.
