Andrea, you did well. You will enjoy your meals, I'm sure. I just thought when you said a FEW ADR's that you hadn't made enough! :rolleyes1 On the 4th there are going to be special fireworks at a variety of places. Check Allears.com for details. You might want to go to Downtown Disney after the water park and grab a counter service meal there before the fireworks. I'm sure everywhere will be mobbed that day, but since you are getting your big breakfast out of the way that morning (good thinking) you can afford to be flexible. I think your plans look fine. Have a wonderful time! :woohoo:

Character bfast bus questions. During our stay I have 3 8am bfasts booked, CRT :woohoo: , Donalds and chef Mickeys. What time will the buses for these start picking up at POP?

I believe the busses will start running around 7 am.

Does the Pop have elevators?

Yes each building has an elevator. You will find them behind the large icons in front of each building.

Hi! We've caught a bus at POP as early as 6:30 to get to a character breakfast - we've made 7 am at Chef Mickey's several times. :thumbsup2 Just tell the driver where you're headed & that early in the morning they almost always take you straight there since the parks aren't open yet anyways - enjoy!! :)

Does anyone know - is it true that not all the rooms in the 60's building are Preferred at this time?

We've stayed in 50's, 70's & 80's & would love to try 60's, but aren't getting a Preferred Room. I thought I read somewhere that the Preferred Rooms are now a grouping of rooms in both the 60's & 70's closest to the main building. We'd love to get a room at the far back of the 60's away from the big pool - TIA for any info!! :thumbsup2

You are right the back end of the 60s is no longer preferred. We did stay in 60s preferred in April but I would definitely stay in 60s non-preferred in the future.

I'll be at POP for the first time in September. Do they sell half gallons of milk in the gift store anywhere? I'll have a cooler in the room I plan to fill with ice and my plan is to bring cereal. I did this last year at POR and it worked really well. Thanks!:goodvibes

I asked the same question about the milk about a month ago - someone checked for me and said they do have 1/2 gallons in the food court. I'm going in Sept too and I'm planning the same thing. Much cheaper than having groceries delivered!

We just got back from our trip and stayed in the 60's building in room 4338. It was not preferred, but was a great location. We faced the lake and had a great view, lots of peace and quiet without being too far to walk to the buses or food court.

Looks really good! be sure and pick up the times guide everyday and it will let you know the hours and emh. just be sure and be at the parks at open. it makes all the difference. you will love universal!! we always do univ/ioa every jan. we do the 2parks/1 day thingie and manage to do everything. the hulk is my favorite and my 6yr dd got to ride the mummy last jan. and she loved it!! but your iten looks good.
have fun!

I left a dollar per person +1 each day (so if there's 2 people in the room, you'd leave $3). There are some awesome envelopes you can print and already have stuffed so that each day you just pull one out and leave it. (Note: The money must be clearly identified as for mousekeeping or they can't take it).

What a fantastic tip for the envelopes, I have just personalised and saved all the designs for our upcoming trip!!!
Thanks so much for putting on the link :)

OH my gosh! I missed the original post, so thank you for "thanking" the original poster b/c those envelopes are the cutest thing in the world!!! Very exciting...:yay:

I've mentioned this on other threads, (I don't think this one, but forgive me if it's a repeat, LOL) but if you are a scrapbooker and have lots of extra disney supplies, it's super easy to make your own mousekeeping envelopes! That's what I do! :thumbsup2

That might have been me. I think they were $2.99.:thumbsup2

I'm a southern girl, but I can't stomach biscuits and gravy! I agree they are strange food....give me bacon and eggs every morning!

P.S. I also think grits are strange food.
what exactly are grits???? Sorry to be an ignorant English woman, but I have always wondered what they were??

How much are the frozen cokes? We are going for 3 days and I'm trying to figure out how cost effective a refillable mug will be...but I don't think it will be a trip to Pop without those frozen cokes by the pool. ;)
