Thanks Willow 16 for answers, looks like pool will be plenty deep enough for my 9 year old (he's way tall though!) I had horror visions of it only coming up to his waist.

Anyone else any info on why the Unoff Guide says buses from Pop to waterparks (BB &TL) take 40 mins or longer?:confused3

And anyone tried to walk to Caribbean Beach Resort from Pop? It looks verrry close on Google Earth.

Thanks everyone.
:hippie:

I also wanted to mention that my kids had a great time in the pool (almost 13 y.o. and almost 10 y.o.) and they are both competitive swimmers so I'm sure your son will have fun. They loved it!

Does Pop Century offer life vests? I'm leaving tomorrow and I'm jsut wondering if I need to pack one. Thanks

Yes they are in bins next to all the pools. That's where they were last time we were there.

We haven't stayed at POP and are thinking about getting a preferred room so we're closer to the Hall. It's not that we mind walking, but CONVIENIENCE is what we're looking for. I guess I'm wondering if the preferred rooms are LESS than a 5 minute walk.

Also, it looks like maybe the wing of the 80's building facing the Classic Hall wouldn't take long to walk for food or especially to get to the bus stop. Can someone comment? Thanks.

I noticed on the snack page that 1/2 gallon of oj is considered a snack at the Pop food court. Does anyone know if they sell 1/2 gallon of milk and regular size boxes of cereal?

We had a preferred room (4424) which was in the 60s A building on the fourth floor. We were near the elevator on the other side from the pool (quiet). We just had to walk down the hall past a few rooms and then down the yoyo stairs to be very close to the bar that is between classic hall and the hippy dippy pool (you could also take the elevator and pass the same number of rooms on the first floor). I am so glad we got a preferred room! It was so easy for the kids to get to and from the pool and food court.

We stayed at the far end of the 70's building, which is one of the standard buildings, and even that was less than 5 minutes from the main building.

For those who have have had BF at CP, what time do the buses start running? When would we need to leave for a 8am ADR?

We had an 8:20 CRT ADR on a day that MK opened at 9 am. There are ear;y busses available for people with early ADRs; I want to say that they start running around 7 or 7:30. Can anyone verify that?

If your ADR is before the park opens, just find a CM when you get to the gates. They will direct you to someone with a list of people with pre-opening ADRs.

Plan to get there a little early, too, so you can get some pics in front of the castle with almost nobody around!

I don't think preferred rooms are worht it. There are some rooms that are closer and aren't preferred. I too was in the 70's and far back by the lake ,and it only took a few minutes at most to get to the Hall or bus stops.

Yes, on the milk.:thumbsup2
Not sure on the cereal.:confused3

I was told NO on the milk by every cm I asked and I tried many!!Also they still do not seperate kid cs and Adult cs BUT you cannot purchase more Adult meals at one time than you have on your card BUUT if you go thru 2 lines you can getadult cs for all !! We only did it a couple of times as DGS mainly wanted Pizza andMac & Cheese but a couple of times he wanted the wraps like his sisters had!

Keep in mind, too, that if you're room isn't ready, it may be ready earlier than they say.

When we were there in Oct., they told us it would be 2 hours. It was around lunchtime, and the kids couldn't wait until we got to MK to eat. So we grabbed lunch at the food court, and decided to give the number they gave us to check on our room a try. Lo and behold, our room was ready, and our luggage arrived before we'd even finished freshening up!

Us too !! They told us at 11 a.m. that rooms not ready and after we finished eating they were ready and bags already in there. So just keep checking it seems to always be earlier than 3 p.m.

The milk is NoT a sc and I saw no big boxes of cereal! They do have boxes of Donuts though and bowls of fruit for a s.c.

We were in 4418 & 4419 I agree very quiet and close to elevator. Elevators come very quickly , never a waitand then it's a quick walk around the pool to Classic Hall. The buses are a little further but not bad at all

I believe you can get a single serving milk AND a single serving cereal together as one snack credit. Anyone confirm this?
