Hopefully, you can get bldg 4, lakeside...you will see the Epcot fireworks!!!
You will love POP!! Happy anniversary too...we are celebrating 4 years this year too..although we arent celebrating at WDW til our 5th!!!

Last time we were at WDW we stayed at ASMu and our only request was a non smoking room and we didn't get that. Oh well.
Really??? I never thought about not getting a non smoking room. Both of my boys have severe asthma. There is no way we could stay in a smoking room. Should I call and let them know that a non smoking room is a medical necessity for us? Would that help? :confused3

That may help to let them know, but I believe it's still just a request. The last time we went I had them note in our ressie that I'm allergic to smoke and we still ended up with a smoking room. Since we couldn't check in until 8pm there was no way for them to change it. If it makes you feel any better, it didn't bother me one bit. We couldn't even smell smoke at all and I am very sensitive to the smell.

i've been reading so much lately about getting a smoking room when you've requested a non-smoking one. i don't have any medical issues, so i don't have a doctor's note or anything. but i know from experience how smoking rooms stink to high heaven, especially if you're a non-smoker. it makes your clothes, your hair, everything smell so bad. so the question i have....is there some place on site to buy lysol spray or something like that or should i just plan on bringing some in case we do happen to get a smoking room? i know it won't completely take the smell away, but i'm sure it couldn't hurt.

I'm a smoker but DGD has asthma so have requested a non smoking room. Have note from Doictor so hope that helps!!

you could bring febreze, but short of deep steam-cleaning, that smoky stench will still remain in the fabrics and carpeting

Got another POP question for you.

We won't be arriving at the hotel until late due to flight times (we are coming from a long way away) and won't get in until probably 10pm.

What are our chances of getting our room requests then when we will be some of the last people checking in that night?

Will the food court still be open?

Born and raised in NT on Spruce St. - although I've lived my adult life in Indiana

leaving for Pop tomorrow!!!!

Last time I was at POP we arrived around 3:00 in the afternoon and they did not have a room available with what we requested (King bed and 4th floor) so they put us in a double bed room for the first night and moved us to a 4th floor King room for the remainder of our trip.

We will be at POP 4/24 - 5/1 and this is our first stay there...regarding the pools. Somewhere on here I read that they have flotation vests or lifevests for children. Does anyone know which they are and what they look like? My son can't stand lifevests (for boating), but he's fine with the swimming vests that zip up.

Just needing to know if I need to bring yet another thing along.. Thanks!

Last time they had lifevests available at the pool we used- The Bowling Pin one. They were in a white bin.

I am trying to find a picture for you. They are not the lifevests that only go around the neck... they are the ones like a real vest with a back that click in the front. They are rubbery, not nylon-y (I know, not a word;) ) I will re-post if I can find a pic.

EDITED TO ADD: Here is a pic of my DD in the lifevest:

I haven't read this thread in over a year.

We've stayed at PC twice so far and will be there again this August. As much as I'd love to try a moderate or deluxe resort, I just can't make myself pay more when we love PC so much.

I keep missing all the swaps. :sad1: As soon find out about, my dates are taken.:lmao:

How does it work with all the stations for food at Pop ? What about Icecream I heard it was outside? Can you get a sundae as your cs dessert and do kids get any dessert at Pop or is it s/f jello??

When were there in 2005, my son was able to get a sundae with his CS meal. I'm not sure if that's still the case.
