For our upcoming trip we have two ADRs and I have no idea how to get to them. We will be coming from the Pop going to the Grand Floridian for a 8:00AM breakfast. We also have an 8:50PM Dinner at the Wilderness Lodge. This is the first time we have made ADRs at other Disney hotels. We will have a rental car. Thanks for any help.

You can get there by bus, but my best suggestion would be to take a cab. I'm not sure if there running that early for your breakfast. And if you're taking the bus after your WL meal you'll have to go to DTD and then catch the Pop bus from there. At that time of night or first thing in the morning we've felt it's a lot easier just to take a cab. Sorry I wasn't much help. Maine :firefight

For your breakfast, I would just drive your rental car and then use valet parking at the Grand Floridian (I believe it will cost you $7 plus whatever you tip). Self-parking at the GF is just too darn far away.

For your dinner at the WL, it's very easy to get there from the MK via boat, or any other park you're at via bus. If you're coming from Pop Century instead of a park, I would again advise you to drive your rental car. Self-parking at WL is much more manageable. If you go there from a park and don't have your car, you can either take a bus to DTD and transfer to another bus to PC, or else have them call you a cab.

We had a PS/ADR at WL for our trip to WDW in Oct...It was our first time to the world so the whole getting around thing was totally new...we on the other hand did not have a rental car so we relyed on Disney transportation 100%. Anyway....we found it VERY BERY easy to take the boat from MK to WL...only took a few min and the boat ride was really nice....From there (after our PS/ADR half of our group went to DTD and the other 1/2 went back to POP...so we each took seperat disney busses to our destinations.

Anywho.....we found Disney transportation VERY easy and time effecent.

I need directions from my rental in Siesta Key (34242) to Pop Century (1050 Century Drive LBV, FL 32830) as well as directions from POP to MCO.

I have tried maquest, yahoo directions, rand mcnally and all of these web sites do not recognize POPs address. DH and I are totally unfamiliar with driving in this area and really would like printed directions as well as a map (like on mapquest).

Does anyone have any suggestions??
I have posted this on transportation as well hoping to get as much help as possible.
I assume it is because PC is fairly new it is not in any of the directions web site database?

Thank you

riu girl ... aka Susy V: The best I was able to do on Yahoo Maps was to enter the intersection of Century Drive and Victory Way. See if that works for you. Have a great trip!!

Hi All!

One week til I am back to POP! Woo hoo! I have a question that I know I saw answered somewhere before but I can't find it searching... I will be arriving around 11am and i know check in is at 3pm. I will be able to at least check in to get my Key to the Kingdom right? My plan is to head right to MGM and I will probably not be back to Pop until after 10pm or so. Any suggestions or tips from people who have arrived early?

Thanks!!!

Yes. We checked in at 10 a.m. last time and were able to get our card keys right away. Some of our rooms were also ready at that time!

We checked in around noon in September and our room was ready. :sunny:

Suzy maybe this will help

I have afriend who just went and they used AAA and it got them straight there fi you want to do it on line you can go to their website. Just ask someone to borrow their AAA card if you don't have one. Its worth a try.

I was just wondering how the buses at Pop have been running lately. On another thread a poster commented about her experience and said that buses were often standing room only and that she often had to wait for a 2nd or 3rd bus.

Also, I am sure it has been asked a thousand times, but I just wanted to double check. Are there refrigerators in the rooms at Pop?

Much thanks! :flower:

No refrigerators as yet. No coffee makers either, I am bringing my own from home.

refrigerators are available for $10/night :)

we had no problem w/the buses when we were at pop, except at the obvious times like when MK closes or immediately after illuminations... then we waited for a second or third bus but they were *right there* just waiting for the one in front to pull out...

We will be checking in to Pop tomorrow around lunch time. We intend on using Magical Express. When we get to Pop, when we check in, will we be given our exact room number before we go to the Park? Or, do they wait until your bags arrive and then decide what room you will be in?
I am hoping they will have a room available so we can check out the room before we head over to MK for the rest of the day. I want to make sure it's clean and in a good location before we set out for the day, because we won't be back until late evening. Anyone know? Thanks! :cool1:

sorry, but there is no one answer to your questions... when you arrive at Pop Century, definitely go to the check-in area... they may or may not have your room ready... it depends on how full they are, how many are checking out that day, how expedient the mousekeepers are, etc etc etc... a dozen different variables...

however, you *will* be given your tickets (if you are on a package) and able to "hit the road"... you will also be allowed to store anything you are carrying with you (i.e. carryon luggage) in the luggage room and it will either be delivered to your room along w/your luggage (when it arrives via DME) or be waiting for you when you get back to the resort later... you may also use the pool if you are so inclined, and there are changing rooms at each poolside (ergo, you may want to put swimsuits in your carry-on)

hope that helps :flower:

Has anyone ever stayed in a ground floor room at Pop? My neighbor stayed in a ground floor room at CBR and loved it. When they put the little ones down for a nap they would sneak out into the courtyard and relax outside. I am just wondering if the ground floor rooms at Pop are darker or noiser? Much thanks for any input! ::MinnieMo

In a week DBF and me will be arriving at POP then we will head over to DTD. We will be using ME and store our carry ons with bell services since our room might not be ready as we will be arriving early around 11 or 12. We also might not make it back to POP until 10 or 11. Will we still be able to get our carry ons from bell services? Or will we have to wait until the next morning?

Thanks!
