Help... Want a room facing lake ,not ground level, close to classic(we have preferred) want tobe able to see fireworks. Can someone tell me which building and which year.. Thanks!!

Please don't hate me for not wading through 200+ pages of FAQ.... Believe me, I've tried. I get to like page 20 and have to stop then I forget where I was and have to start over the next time. Sheesh.... ---> (small vent coming) These FAQ threads are useful and exasperating at the same time. If everyone would stop posting with things like "I just booked my trip" or "me too" type posts to the FAQ thread, it would be much more concise and useful :sad2: Sorry :scared:

Anyway, I have a couple of questions about POP that I have not seen addressed. If they have, I apologize for not finding the answers myself.

1) Is there a pull-out clothesline in the shower? It looks like there is from the photos I've seen, but I can't be sure.

2) Othere than a few umbrellas, is there ANY shade available at any of POP's pools? I sure can't see any from the photos. It looks like there are maybe 1 or 2 umbrellas at each of the pools. From past experience dealing with items of limited quantity, I'm sure those will be in high demand.

3) I requested a refrigerator. Is there a freezer area in the fridge, or will I need to have a cooler with ice to keep things frozen?

Yes there is a closeline in the shower. I just posted that 2 days ago! LOL! I don't think there is much shade at the pools that i can remember. I don't really think most want shade at a pool though. We only took DD swimming one afternoon, so maybe I'm wrong. The baby pool had some trees around it though.
I didn't have a fridge, so can't help you there. But in the past whe nI have gotten them at other palces the freezer part was really small if they had one.

I'll look for my pool pictures and post them.

I read on another thread that there are kids activities scheduled at Pop. Can anyone tell me what kind of stuff they have? I didn't know they did this...so anything is a plus! Are there pool activities as well? Thanks!

mirthmaiden, Hi there, The umbrella's are over tables...I never had a problem getting one when I wanted one.

Refrig, I have not had one, but people talk on here said, the freeze part is small.

Yes, there is cloths line in the bathroom over the tub.

Re: the freezer section of the rent-a-fridges...it is small like a dorm size fridge, maybe able to hold a couple of lean cuisine size boxes. We used a fridge, but the only things we kept in the freezer section were ice packs, and they fit nicely.

HTH.

I was looking at pictures people have posted of POP. I noticed surrey bikes in one. Are there surrey bikes you can ride there?

Also I can't sem to find any images of the playground. I know it is there but DD wants to see pictures. Does anyone have any?

1. Yes, there is a clothesline in the shower area.

2. All of the umbrellas are on the tables but they are not up against the pools. We have never had a problem getting a table at the Hippy Dippy Pool. Based on the angle of the sun, we have been able to sit in the shade (or avoid it) as the buildings cast shade in the area. (again - based on the 60s area).

3. The freezer area is VERY small. I think we could put 2 or 3 water bottles in the freezer section. Depending on the fridge, we have had a few items just below the freezer part get a little frosty.

Here is a picture that should give you an idea about the shade (you can see it coming in from the left) and the tables. Hope that helps!

WOW!!! I missed the play ground. Where is it located? I walked around the grounds and didn't even see it. It would be nice to remember it for future visits.

If I remember correctly, it was on the walk from the pop jets to the 90's parking area. We didn't go to the playground last time so it has been like 3 years now.

The goofy pop jets? That was near the 70's area. Is there othrs that i didn't see? I guess I didn't get too close to the 90's building. I just took a picture of the pool over there and thats it. Now I wish I would've walked some more.:headache:

Don't feel bad about missing them. I still have yet to see hourglass lake. I can't believe I forgot to go look at it the last 2 times we were there. This time, I am heading there my first day so I don't forget it. I kinda want to see the next section of POP that hasn't been constructed yet.

walk around the backside of building 10 ( 70's section) and you will see it. My room overlooked the playground.

annie1995 -- Thanks for those great images. I had hunted for some of the playground but had a hard time finding them. The playground is a big priority for my almost 7 year old!!
