We just returned from POP last wednesday and our room was awesome. We were in the 60's building on the back side room 4875. Facing the lake behind the petals pool and right by the food court and bus stop. Not sure if this was pefered as we only paid for standard.
We loved POP and had a blast. When we arrived at the hotel on Magical Express at 10am our room was already ready. I was shocked. Our Mousekeeper was awesome and left us a suprise the last day 3 towel bunnies one for each princess she said! So wonderful! We are heaed back August 28and will be staying at POP again!

Im confused - I was just looking at this map and I dont see a range of rooms in the 60s building ....that would be like 4875 http://www.wdwinfo.com/maps/PopCenturyMap.pdf

Maybe was it 4475?:confused3

I hadn't even noticed that she/he put 4875... There are only four floors in the buildings, so the second number can't be any higher than 4. They were in building 4, floor ____ (the second number) and then the room number. I had been in 4414, building 4, floor 4 room 14. (According to my DN with the photographic memory.) It was a great room btw, if you don't mind taking the stairs, which we didn't.

Will Pop transfer luggage to another resort if you're switching mid-stay? I know I've had some of the other resorts do this but this will be my first Pop stay.

Yes they will. We switched to the Poly last summer and our luggage was there when we checked in around 4.

Buckeye Gal, I know a lot of people switch resorts during their stay. This might be a good tidbit to add to the page one post. Thanks, declansdad! :thumbsup2

I apologise if this was mentioned somewhere, but I didn't really want to read all 81 pages!

Do the standard rooms include air conditioning?

Just about everything in Florida is air conditioned :goodvibes

Not quite everything, unfortunately, in the summer, the parks are not. :scared:

Silly and Slightly Goofy

Has anyone taken a refillable water bottle (like a nalgene) and just refilled it at the drink station in the food court? That water line runs to the soda machines, so I would guess it is filtered. Any comments?

Joking? Who? Me???? Nah, what would make anyone who knows me think such a thing. :rotfl2:

All kidding aside, for a second, if they can figure out a way to enclose the park and charge a fee that folks would be willing to pay they will.

Many a great idea has been said in jest but taken seriously. :rotfl:

I am going to contemplate just how much a day I would be willing to pay. Bet the price would go up mid day mid vacation.

I might also be willing to pay for a moving sidewalk to take me to the buses at the end of a long park day. :rolleyes1

What would YOU be willing to pay for???

Slightly Goofy

1.I'D PAY FOR A SEAT ON EVERY BUS...EVEN AT MIDNIGHT WHEN MK JUST LET OUT!
2. WHILE WE ARE ENCLOSING THE PARK FOR A/C, ALSO USE IT FOR RAIN!!
3. CAN I ASK FOR THE PARK FOR MYSELF ON DAY??
JUST DREAMING!!!:dance3:

Well it is suppose to be the most Magical Place on Earth!!! So wouldn't one expect all this??????????:lmao:

I saw on page 1 of the thread (see I read it! :thumbsup2 ) that you need to call the head chef to order a birthday cake... I thought you called the cake hotline for cakes?? :confused3 Where do I pick it up- the food court? Also, if I decide not to pre-order it and "wing it" are there usually some available?

Thanks!

Do we have any comments on Cinderumbrella's questions? If I need to update Post #1 with different info, I would be happy to!

I believe that you call the head chef if you want it at your resort for your room or the food court etc.... If your are going to a disney restaraunt you should be able to call that restaraunt and order the cake and they will bring it out when you are ready for dessert! I did this at Chef Mickey's!

Hi ya all!

I have a dream, not so far fetched, that one could punch in what park(s) you wanted to attend the following day on your in room computer system and make a few requests thereby receiving a print out with reservations for each ride/show/meal/parade that you would like to see with times and places reserved. Now I realize that it could not possibly work perfectly as there would be a lot of people wanting the same things but it would be a step in the right direction, not so much for those of us who use DW as our second home and do not want to be tied down to specifics but for newbies it would be a Godsend and keep them out of OUR way!:rotfl: It could gently steer us away from overly packed parks into ones that are more sparsely inhabited and relieve the CM's at the same time. Win for everyone! (If anyone in management is listening feel free to take my idea but if you really want to reward me with free passes, DVC points, trips to all the Disney parks etc., feel free) :rotfl2:

As far as having your luggage moved from one resort to another I can attest to that service being the best. One thing is that the first time it did not occur to me to leave a tip for the people doing so. I now make an envelope for them.

Slightly Goofy and seldom serious

Just wanted to say "WOW" at the great info at the beginning of the thread. We are staying here in June and there is alot of info I didn't know. It helps to be informed. :)
