I have a bad habit/boarderline obsession of making cutsom clothes for the kids. Dresses & little capris w/ ruffles don't fit well into ziplocks.

Thanks. I did get a couple of cutsom things for Reese. One a pooh dress and the other a toys tory pillow case dress with ruffles. But I think they will fit fine in the gallon bags. That is how they came shipped to me anyway. I may just take those and hang them once I get to POP.

Please see post# 2507

Does anyone know the size of the openings? We bought these KOMPLEMENT storage boxes form Ikea that have a zipper at the bottom so you can collaspe them when you are not using them. They fit inside a dresser drawer for organizing, but I though they may fit in the shelf openings. They come in a set of 6 - (2) 6x6, (2) 11x6 and (2) 11x11.

I plan on decorating our window for DS birthday. Is there an electric outlet near the pop windows to hang a strand of lights? Thanks!

Airtran decied to change our flights big surprise. LOL So we decied to spend a extra night at POP. So for 100.00 more we are staying at POP with our free dining bounce back for 10 days.

I wasn't sure if Disney would be able to add a day but the cm was great. She didin't even have to transfer me to guest services. I thought I would have to talk to them since the offer is expired. :yay::yay:

From Post #1:

If you have several electronics, like for rechargeable batteries and such, you might want to pack a power strip so you have enough outlets.
Location of 2-plug outlets: bathroom sink, by the small table, underneath window, between the beds, behind tv stand/dresser, and on wall adjacent to bathroom wall, which is beside the bed

We will have a car, and will most likely drive to the parks. Except I believe I read it's faster to take the bus to MK. What would you say is the best building to ask for, if you want to be close to your parking. Can you face the parking lot and still have a nice view? lol I didn't pay for a preferred room.

Any info would help. We have never stayed at POP. Thanks!

Our last trip to Pop (07), we put our requests in as 1) connecting, 2) closest to Classic Hall, 3) closest to parking lot. We don't drive to the parks but like to be close to our van for unpacking.

We ended up in 50s, Lady building, parking lot side, about three rooms down from preferred, and just around the end of the building from the laundry and bowling pin pool. It was perfect for us!
I think were in around room 1157.

No frozen Coke. Not sure on the green tea.
But Pop has the best food court selections of any disney resort I have stayed at.

That is good to hear! OKW food court was horrible:scared: Maybe because it was DVC and most people eat in the room? Idk but the choices were very slim. We went to DTD most of the time, the resort itself was very nice though.
This will be my first time at POP. It looks really cute and room refurbs look awesome:thumbsup2 If I book 2 rooms do I have to request for them to be connecting/adjoining? I wanted to ask for 70's or 50's, top floor, facing lake, so would this be too many requests if I were to also ask that our rooms be connecting? What if I tell them that my kids will be in the other room? Should I just ask for top flr facing lake? I would really like a quite room with a view:)

The food court is one of the things that keeps drawing me back to Pop. We love it. I'm going to REALLY miss my Frozen Cokes though. They made buying the mug worthwhile for me anyway. Sigh.....

Does anybody know which non-carbonated drinks are currently in the soda fountain?

Yes we have stayed at SSR a few times and the food court was just ok. Not to many choices like at pop. I think the food is pretty standard Disney stuff with alot of choices. I guess the less you ask for the better your chances. If I had to have connecting rooms that would be all I would ask for.

Last year we asked 60's section facing the lake. That is what we got. There was a big tree in front of our door. But I didn't care I just didn't want to be near the pool areas. We were in the Jungle Book building.

We were a moderate family but now we have stayed at pop my girls love it.

DEFINATELY!!!
If you do not tell them that 1) there are kids in that room, and 2) you need them to be connecting, they could be in another building!!! (it has happened to DIS members, one who DID tell them, so be aware.)
I always make connecting my #1 request. Then you can add the rest, in the order of importance. And don't be afraid to ask for something different when you get there if you don't like what you get. Requests aren't guarenteed, but they do try to help you out! Have a great trip! :wizard:

How old are the kids ??? Would adjoining instead of connecting be okay !!! We asked for connecting last year and got it in the 50's which DD did not like she only wants 60's so next time we are paying for preferred in the 60's!! We actually changed rooms last year and got awesome rooms in the 60's allthough NOT connecting !!

This is the one reason I am considering the suites. We have been lucky on the last 2 trips with the kids to have the connecting door, but now my daughter is 18 there is a chance they could be put in another area

the food court is nice, so many choices and only one little tummy to put it all in, :lmao:

if i remember right, they have coke products in the soda fountains, coke-sprite-minute maid and a couple others

wow I will def tell them. I will make that #1 then top floor facing lake. Do you think it would make any kind of difference if I do the online check in and dont like the room that I am assigned? Will I still be able to ask for something else?

either one is fine with me, the kids are 15&6 but I will probably be staying in the room with my mom and they can sleep with their dad, I could use a vacation from the snoring:lmao:

So I am not ues to eating Breakfast at POP,and I see that they start serving at 6am. So Is all of there Breakfast menu avalable at 6am?, I ask because when It comes to Dinnier they say there open to midnight but its not all there menuse Is avalable say after 11. So I am just wondering to the folks that have try eating that early If Its all open or just one area say the grill.

Not sure, but that gave me pause also, so I just did regular check in. I'd bet you'd have to deal with another person if you don't like it, causing two line waits vs. one. But I don't know that for sure!

I think they open them gradually. Some things were open after 7 am.
At All Star Sports this last time, we had to wait for waffles, and pancakes, but the egg station was open earlier.
