What do you think is behind the dramatic jump in resort prices at both WDW and Universal? I am not local so I can't see it but are all the properties just so full of people they have to raise prices just to fit everyone who wants to be onsite at both theme park empires? There used to be perks to staying onsite but they are shrinking, are there newer perks?

Demand.

Why idk but that is why prices increase consistently at a successful business.
This. For example, when the World Cup comes to the USA next summer, the prices will go up again (even when Florida doesn't feel great with extreme humidity). Miami, Atlanta, and LA will be holding some major matches and those fans will be visiting WDW/DL and Universal Studios along the way if they can. Not to mention big and small watch parties in every city and town in the USA. Both companies will take as much advantages they can get from the tourism. Billions will be made from this tournament and every state wants a piece of it.

Disney prices have been increasing for several years much faster than the rate of inflation. Many older threads on that topic. This isn't a new/recent issue.
