I regularly visit WDW but have never been to DL.

I am being forced to use my vacation accruals before the end of April so am considering taking the RV down from Vancouver Island to California. Since I’ve never been I’m not sure the best time to go.

My birthday is during the March week which is why I’m thinking that may be a good time but not sure about spring break. If that would be too hectic, then I’d have to wait until the week in April due to work responsibilities and deadlines.

Any pros/cons to either of these weeks?

Thanks!

If you are interested in Food & Wine or Season of the Force, the March dates would be better. During Food & Wine, Soarin is Soarin over California.

Regarding Spring Break, Disneyland has Magic Keys blocked the last week of March/beginning of April. Easter is April 5. I think you are early enough in March and late enough in April to avoid Spring Break crowds.

I'd choose April (even though I'll be in the parks during your March dates:)). All three of my children, who are attending 2 different universities and our local school district, have spring break the week of March 9. While not peak spring break, crowds will definitely be amping up. I think late April is the sweet spot for low crowds and fair weather for driving the coast.

I too am debating dates for my trip. I would avoid mid February to mid April due to Spring breaks. My debate is the first weekend of February or the last in April.
