Jamal , you are my kind of gal ( we even kind of share the same -mine is 6/28 ). We are staying at the Poly in 2 weeks for the first time- thanks for helping me " get ready " for our trip! May you have many more wonderful vacations with your family and friends
...and you are mine, sweet kindergarten teacher! I hope your family makes many magical memories! PM me if you have any questions, OK?

For some reason the photos of your boys with the mouse just get me all teary eyed!!
We love the Main Mouse! You are sweet to look at my boys that way, Dreamer. It means alot to me.

You always know how to tug at my heart strings

Please don't let this TR end!!
I have to end it sometime, but I have a bit more to tell and sooo many pics of the last day! Thank you so much for reading Jennifer.

You are on a trip report writing frenzy. I better get mine on the ball
Haley baby...you are on a roll! Get R Done! You'll have another tale to tell in 6 short weeks!!!

I loved your last two installments!!!

DH and I are so careful to carve out one-on-one time with our kids at home. But we've never thought to at Disney!! How fun!! We might try that next time!

I absolutely LOVE that picture of Shrek on the teacups. He looks like a whole bunch of fun. Ain't it great to have a Disney lovin' man? :thumbsup2

Can't wait hear the rest!!

This was all ds12...

A: Hi. It’s not really my birthday. My real birthday is tomorrow, but I wondered if I could maybe have a birthday button?
CM: Wow! How old are you going to be tomorrow!
A: Twelve.
CM: (reaching under counter) Happy Birthday! (presents button) Have a magical day!
A: Thank you! Thank you very much!
CM: Now people all over the parks will wish you Happy Birthday all day!

SO CUTE!!!

Jami, baby, you are bringing tears and smiles to my face with every new installment. Borg on what all the other sistas are saying. The pic of A laughing at Sci-Fi, the boys with Mickey and SHREK on the TEACUPS!!! Classics! And so visibly full of magic. And how sweet is A to get his birthday button while being truthful at the same time! DH will be joining me in November the day after his big day. I keep threatening to get HIM a b-day button!!

Loving every minute, and looking forward to the rest. I know, you are dragging this out so you can finish JUST as you are about to leave for the meet, aren't you?!?

CG, baby! Just a few more weeks!!!!

I'm absolutely loving your TR! I'm sad that you're leaving too. ;) Thanks for sharing your memories with us!

NM, Sheri, and Ash, Thanks for loving my ogre-with-a-heart on the Teacups! I admit my heart skipped a beat  when I saw him there.

Beana, Thanks. I'm pretty partial to the little guy myself!

Princess, I've got a few more installments, I think. Next one tomorrow...

Jami -

We are totally borg on the Teacups. I do NOT do circles. EVER!!!!!! I would need a backpack, not a fanny pack :rotfl2:

People in a hurry crack me up. We had a similar experience at the border of Canada Thursday. There were about 50 people in line. We were very close to the door, in fact John was right beside it. This girl comes a busting out the door. Runs right into John and almost knocks a little boy down that was standing beside him talking. Of course, in his most sarcastic tone, he asks "Do the words excuse me come to mind?" She looks at him like he is speaking Vulcan(we heard her talking to her friend for about 15 minutes in very New York English). Then she pushes the little boy out of the way to get back in the door. :confused3 :confused3 John says there must be a sale somewhere she is missing :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

LOVED the story about the couple having the argument. :rotfl:
You should have asked her what she did for a living :teeth: With your little notebook in your hand. Now that would have been funny

Chapter 22, Still Last Day (Day 10)
We enjoyed the three character venues with NO lines and lengthy interaction. DS12-minus-24-hours even got a birthday kiss from Minnie. Now, he’s not into girls yet (even rodents) so the thrill was lost on him, but he puffed up when DH told him he was jealous of the kiss.

Hummm...where is that Image Stabilization when you need it??

We shared the love with Pluto, Minnie, and Goofy then skipped (!) out to the Character Hall of Fame dump shop. Suddenly, E’s greed paralyzed him. The boy who had seen and touched every piece of memorabilia for nine days had to have a souvenir (just one!!). The little guy had bought some piece of junk (since gone with the wind, I think) every day, but NOW was the time to spend HIS $20. Those of you with children will understand exactly why he aimed straight on for the Potato Head tower. We stood there for an agonizing few minutes making a plan, for Shrek and ds 12 had those Space FPs burning a hole in their pockets. Well, Shrek’s pocket. We could never trust A to hold onto a valuable piece of paper.

Getting on with it…
E and I stayed in the Character Hall of Fame dump shop so he could make a Potato while Shrek and A rode Space one last time.

22 minutes. Twenty-two. Have you ever stood at a Mr. Potato Head tower for 20+ minutes. Scintillating, I tell ya. By the time E was done that plastic spud had more junk hanging off it than an entire fanny-pack wearing family. Once we finished dressing/assembling Buzz Lightyear/Groom’s Hat (?)/mustacheod/suitcase Potato, we had to perform surgery to get him into the box, maximizing our $18 bargain. I was in a full sweat (sorry Sher, glow…) at the end but he was grinning ear to ear. Sigh…he’s lucky I love him. Next time I’m taking the Space FP and running for my sanity.

We still had a few minutes as Shrek and A were riding Space AGAIN!! So E and I checked out the area formerly known as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea/Character Meet and NOW… Refurbished For Your (My) Future Enjoyment…. The Hundred Acre Wood playground!!!!!!!!!!

My E is a big boy but is still only six years old. He is very independent. He’s also mature for his age, which saidens me. Who doesn’t want to keep their baby young? I do!!! So I was happy he wanted to play in Pooh land. We were frolicking (use your imagination) over the hills and dales of Rabbit’s garden when a CM approached E and reminded him (me) that Pooh’s playground was ‘designed for children age 5 and under.’ The poor guy had just turned six! He was so embarrassed. I told her (of course!!) he had just turned six and she looked at me as if I was lying!!! He is also missing several teeth, one of which we had to have pulled when he was four and I could just FEEEL her looking at his mouth as most kids lose top teeth at age 6 or after. She really did! E looked sooo embarrassed and I explained that God made him tall and she probably thought he was eight. I sweetly told her he would be very careful and safe, then put her on The List…

Some families get their game on (hi Mel!) with a paintbrush chase on Tom Sawyer’s Island. The Fixers are all about the fine art of Indy speedway racing. E wants to be a racer someday. Deciding at an early age his God-given legs would not be enough speed, he announced his intent to be a racecar driver OR, failing that, boat racer. He has loved that slooow loader in MK since he was three.

The little joker is tall for his age, but still can’t quite drive (push the gas) and steer (if you can call it that). Being E’s co-pilot requires a strong neck and resistant stomach. I drew the short straw so we hopped in and prepared for launch.

HI GA CAT!!!!!!!!!!
Jerk to the left!! Jerk to the right!!!

Good thing my camera has Image Stabilization (IS)…

E was laughing and spinning that wheel the whole time. The four of us—in three cars—tore that course up. I absolutely love seeing E on the cars. I don’t like the forever wait there, but yes, he is worth it…

That smile is my daily dose of sunshine…

It's almost noon on the last day. More.

Jami!!!

Firstly:

FLAGGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Secondly:

LOVE the look on A's face with Minnie!!!! :teeth:

Hi Jam!
~Mighty fine installment. And while I am deeply saddened that this is drawing to a close, I also anticipate that another report will shortly be forthcoming. Titled something along the lines of "The Fixer and Friends Do Disney, Plunder, Pillage, and Cause General Mayhem." I'll look for that report to start around October 4.
~My, but those are some GOOOOOOOOD looking feet! :teeth:
~I don't think Sher should be allowed to flag over here. Somebody make her stop.
~Shrek's looking a little tired there. What'd you do, make him ride space over and over and over and over . . . ? Poor man.
~A's days of not noticing girls/mice are numbered. Methinks. Or at least the days of them not noticing him. He looks like he has such joy in life!
~What ARE E's insurance rates going to run when he is a teen? EGADS!!!

Jami!!

That was great! I always love your installments. Especially the pics. And I am really excited to read the report from the meet in October.

Keep it comin, sister.

NM

1st things 1st - You are forcing me to go to the Pooh Playground and skip, by myself :teeth:

2nd - I will give you a lesson on the potato head stuff. 1st skip the potato. Buy it at Walmart for 3.97. Fill the box with parts. IF YOU MUST HAVE THE POTATO, fill him up. Every crevice known to man and a few that aren't. 22 minutes is nothing. 2 hours to fill 2 boxes. Got me a new plan for this year. Love me some Potato head parts.

3rd- Nice toenail polish. What shade is that???

4th - Shrek is cute as a button. I swear we could use him for a Santa's helper.

5th - Are you writing a TR of Oct? Just curious how many will emerge :stir:

Jam! I want you to know. Conor asked "How long has Jamal been at Disney?" (He's seen me reading your TR on numerous occasions over the past weeks/months. I think he thinks you're still there.)

I told him "that's Jami. A friend of mine."

Enter Sydney, proudly proclaiming, "I have MY jammies on, mummy!"

Love the photos of your men. All of them. Vomit cups, I am with you. Racecars, same deal. Hate the wait, but the kiddles love it so, which makes it worth it.

Streeeeeeeeeetch it out, okay? Lots of pics? Don't let it end!

Cool Flips Jam! What kind are they? I am sort of a flip flop obsessed girl. I am fond of Tevas and L.L.Bean...but yours look really comfy!

A's days of not noticing girls/mice are numbered. Methinks. Or at least the days of them not noticing him. He looks like he has such joy in life!
GA and Grammy, you are scaring me. I think the braces will keep them away for awhile. That and the fact he doesn't like girls!

Yes, Shrek is a keeper. I think the Vomitcups rattled his head. That's why he looks peaked.

NM and Grammy, I don't know if I will write a TR after the October trip. We'll see...gotta finish this one first!
Grammy:
1--I will skip there with you. I am 5.
2--Clever!! I never thought of that for the potato!!! I am such a cheapo, too. Excellent tip. Is it on the Budget Boards??
3--OPI You-re Such a Kabuki Queen. The color this summer. I am not a foot-hibitionist. I only posted this for the Crocs. For GA, especially. Beana, thanks for asking..they are Croc flip flops! Go to Crocs.com. Lots of colors and so very comfy. Cute, even.
4--Shrek is an excellent Santa when he is not in full-ogre mode.

Kimmie, I love that!!! You tell Conor I am a BIG fan of his Mom's writing, OK? When has he seen you on the Dis?? :lmao:

You know Jami, I think Kim just wants to finish hers first. :rotfl:

  • Love the pictures
  • I think E looks 6ish, he still has that little kid look about him
  • I have done hard time with the Mr Potato Head bins and feel your pain
  • I have also done hard time in the Speedway line,
  • The Lego bins are worse than the Potato ones, Just FYI
  • He he, I just wanted to do a fancy bulleted list like Lou

LY/MI

Excellent use of bullets, Haley B. I will have you know that among Shrek's many mad skillz is the ability to fill the LEGO containers at DTD. He usually draws a crowd.

Next time he is sooo at the potato tower.

Well, I USED to be able to pretend I was "working". Now that he can read better than I can, my cover is blown. :rotfl:

You know Jami, I think Kim just wants to finish hers first.

Haley!!!! Shhhhhh! You are ruining my secret plan!
No, really. I love Jam's writing, her family, and her story. And her pix. Good thing there's another one in the near future.
