We're going the same week as you and we seem to have the same planning affliction (or we could call it a GIFT!)

We got a free QSDP pin a couple months ago, so we are booked and ready! Just so you know, the offer was from Aug. 15-Oct. 2nd, so I think you'll be good when they offer free dining to the public. I'm almost positive they will offer QSDP for free to the value's.

We stayed at Pop on our first trip, just my dd & I (we went with a friend) and it's got that "first trip" special spot in our hearts! We're staying at ASMU this time! My dh and ds's have never stayed onsite, so I'm looking forward to it!

As for your friend, I think you should just be honest with her and tell her this trip you just wanted to do a solo family trip. I bet she'll understand!

Hooray, I finally got a chance to sit down and read your PTR! Loving it so far! I don't have any guesses right now, but I can't wait to hear what your costumes will be! I really want to go to MNSSHP this year. I'm still trying to convince DH.

Definitely convince your DH, it is so much fun. I thought it wasn't worth the extra money until I went, and now I know it would have been worth more than we paid! Worth every penny!

Very cool that you put up the tutorials for those dresses. We just recently got a sewing machine and I've never sewn anything ever. So I'm going to practice on some stuff and one day I'm definitely going to try to make one of those dresses!

They're so easy. If they weren't, I wouldn't be able to do it! Seriously, once you can sew forward and backward in a straight line, you can do these!

Lol, what, it's WEIRD to be planning IN DETAIL 6 months out? Say it ain't so!

This makes me very excited. I even called DH at work to tell him! I hope that we get those dates too. If not, as long as we get free dining for some of it, it's still worth it. And, if not, DH has the vacation anyway, so they won't be able to keep me away!

We stayed at ASMovies last time, and the really nice part about the all stars is that when things are crowded at the end of the night, you can hop on one of the other busses for the other All Star resorts, and just walk back to yours. We loved that part!

Since only Disneychix made some guesses... cheer2: for that! Every day I laugh really hard picturing the 4 of us as Aerosmith!)

...I'm going to tell you some other things that we're NOT going to be.

BODY WARS CAST MEMBERS- we really liked this one, we just liked the thing we're going as more.

DREAMMAKER AND FIGMENT- DH wanted to be the dreammaker and carry DD as Figment. I wasn't a fan of this because I wasn't involved, but agreed that DD would make a darn cute Figment!.

TROLLS- You know, from Malestrom? But that just wasn't happening.

THE FLINTSTONES- Yes, DH actually suggested this, yesterday. I said that it wasn't disney. He said he knows, but people would recognize who we were! This was inspired from that dress I made DD. He said it looked like something out of the flintstones and where in the world did I get that fabric. I tsk tsk-ed him for betraying disney.

SOARIN- flight attendants. Just not as fun as we wanted.

JOJO and GOLIATH- This is too dated, right? And people would just think we were clowns.

PB&J OTTER- We don't have 3 kids, and, well, does anyone but me remember this show? I used to watch it while babysitting, it was my favorite! But it's really, really old! At least there's a family structure there...

Can't think of anything else we discussed that we're not going to be at the moment...

Since BabyEeyore so kindly explained the DISigns board to me, and transfers and all that sort of stuff (Thanks again! ) I spent some time on friday adding names to every design possible. But then I stumbled across a little tutorial on how to make your own name-fills in Word. I couldn't find it later when I went to do it, but I figured it out. That was my Friday night. (That's not sad, right?

So, here's my plan. I'm going to make 2 tags with our last name on them per day. Plus an extra set for MNSSHP. I decided on last names because J.J. is just too short for a name fill! I'm going to print them on Cardstock, laminate them, and punch two holes in them. Then, each day, we're going to let J.J. and Sydney pick which sign they want for their side of the stroller! I'm going to hang them on each side of the stroller handle in back, one for each kid...and I'm just going to attach them with zip ties loosely, so there's a one or two inch gap between the bottom of the stroller handle and the top of the name tag. Maybe I'll put two ties tightly up top and attach rings to them or something that I can attach the name tags to, so they don't slide around. It's a work in progress. But you get the idea, right?

Anyway, I made a bunch of name fills, although we have a few too many. I may eliminate some, or I might just print all of them and what doesn't get used just doesn't get used. I didn't know how to copy the file from Word, so I just took pictures of my computer monitor! So, some of them are a little blurry, but I'm sure you can make them out. Hope that's alright! Plus, our last name is too distinctive, so I changed them all to Smith. I wish my last name was Smith though, look at how much "picture room" you get in those letters! Our name isn't too bad though.

I think they're really going to love picking these out every day!

I loved this, because, I thought, how incredibly cute would baby yeti's be? So, I googled it, and apparently google doesn't approve of dressing your baby like a yeti. It asked me, "did you mean, toddler CAT costume?" No, google, I meant yeti. And I could do without the attitude.

This is SO easy, but potentially addictive.

Before you start, you need to go to google images or whatever you use and find the pictures you want! If you go to google, when the images come up click "show options" at the top and make the size of the image "large" because if you don't you won't get a crisp image to work with. You can use your own pictures as well. Save them in an easy to locate location (I just made a file on the desktop).

Then go to word.

Click on:

Insert
Picture
Word Art

A new box will pop up. Then select the style you want. Click OK.

Type your text and choose your font (something wide is best). I used Incised901ND or something like that. I would just check out the different fonts before you start. I change the size to 96 but I don't know if that matters. Click OK.

Then just click and drag the text box so that it's as large as you want it.

When you click on the text there should be a little "word art" toolbar that pops up.

Click "format wordart" (it looks like a paint bucket and paintbrush).

Click the arrow next to the color

Click fill effects

There should be a tab up top that says "picture"

Click "select picture" and pick a picture from your computer!

That's it, it will really take you no time at all!


And, because I feel like I haven't posted a picture in awhile, here are the faceless children playing (Or, being shamelessly brainwashed by disney marketing. You decide.)

I have NO guesses as to your costumes but I had a good laugh picturing your littlest faceless cutiepie as a Yeti.

Online Check-In: It can save you time since it is a separate line at check in. If you didn't do online check in, you get in the regular line which can be long. When we checked in there wasn't a line at either one so it really didn't matter. The perk I liked was that when I did the online check in I said we'd be arriving at 9am. I couldn't believe that they had a room ready for us that early. Requesting bedrails didn't do anything for us either. We still had to call from our room when we arrived and ask for them.

I was so excited when I saw the castle set, when I got it I may have let out a girly little squeal haha. I had wanted another boy when I got pregnant with DD, and I don't think I was completely thrilled that she was a girl until I saw all that pink castle LOL.

So, I had a panicked day yesterday. Remember this stroller?

The one I went to the store to try out since it was on sale for a really good price online? The one DH bought? Well, it had been almost two weeks since we ordered it, and I was really wondering where it could be. So I was trying to find it online, and it said I needed the order number. I got out the receipt DH had printed when he was done ordering, and I couldn't find the number. And that's when I saw this at the bottom of the "receipt":

DH hadn't ever COMPLETED submitting the order! Now, I wasn't crazy about paying the sale price for this stroller, so I certainly wasn't going to pay the full price.

It turned out okay though, the stroller was still on sale, we just couldn't get the rain cover because it was out of stock. But for a few minutes there, I was irrationally full-fledged panic!
