As the story came home I'm even more annoyed by the whole thing. Not at the preg. teacher and not at the new sub. But it seems the sub that just left got offered a job ACROSS THE HALL from Paige's room!

THe pricipal told us she was going to another district!!!! I don't get it, but conferences are tomorrow night and I plan to get some straight answers!!!!!

I'm looking back and you all have posted 9 posts since I started this one. What the heck???

Jennifer, I remember the days of waiting on DH to come home so that I could go to a meeting. It does make it nice when they get older and then you can run to the meeting without having to wait on him.

As for the sub situation. I have heard of that happening quite often. Usually the long term subs that are hired are also teachers who are looking for a full time job. Many times a long term sub finds a full time job while subbing and then she/he has to make the decision about their future. Seems like the administration made a bad decision. Did they know that they were going to have to find teacher across the hall before they placed her in the long term sub position in Paige's class? If they did they made a big mistake. I have heard though that it is hard to find long term subs. Hopefully, the new sub will be able to stay the whole time. I don't know what I would do if the pregnant teacher I am subbing for would decide not to come back. Food for thought!

Yeah Betty, I understand this teacher needed to do what was best for her. I just don't think it was handled well at all. Having the parents tell the kids. Then the kids got this weird not form the old sub when they got to school saying DON'T ask the new sub any questions she would come in later and talk to them. PLUS we were told she was leaving the district. If she's just across the hall I can't see why they couldn't have made this a smoother transition. It will be fine in the end. I just don't think everyone was thinking clearly yesterday!
