Jennifer, as log as you are volunteering to pack, I have a set of antlers on the wall that need to be packed, the tree stump end table can be put in storage (actually, all of my stuff has to be put in storage. Carol is easy going, but has put her foot down about bringing this stuff into our blue velvet and silver room).

And no Jen, you cannot split up me and Carol. No way! We have our snoring in harmony down pat.

Carol, lasers on the silver disco ball...cool! Apolo is going to want to come over to our room and dance (do you think stingy Kim will let him out to play?). And all the cabana boys too. Maybe we should have this button installed in the room so that when you press it, a portion of the floor opens up and a dance floor raises up. Any suggestions for a houseboy on our floor Carol?

And by the way, so nice that you and DH are sending stuff over. Such a sad thing.

Did someone put a fresh pot of coffee? I need one this afternoon.

Fresh coffee is on, as well as some diet cokes on ice for those of us doing manual labor and working up a thirst!

SOmeone has to stop me!!!!!! I have completly redone 4 rooms and ready to start 2 more Actually I have to get dinner on and make a cake for the meeting I have tonight. Guess the rooms will have to wait....unless one of you wants to come and pick up where I left off!

I posted this new thread that I'm now hoping will just disappear without incident. I don'twant to lock it for fear(really, annoyance) of other reprisal. I was just wondering about Chanukah and other types of holiday celebrations, but I've seen some intolerance of non-Christians and, of course,vice versa on other threads. Just anything that smacks of religion, I worry about it getting weird. Anyway-it seemed absolutely frivolous at the time, just a place amidst all these Christmas threads for our Jewish friends to be heard, but now I'm fearing all sorts of weirdness. Am I paranoid? I guess that's why I mostly hang out here.

WOOHOOOO!!! Been a great mail week for old Dream here!! In the mail today came a letter from Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, welcoming the Dream family BACK to the WL!! Open it up and there it is...my home away from home....the place where all stress immediately drains away...the lobby of the WL!!! Ahhhh....in just a few weeks I will be sitting in that rocker right in front of that huge fireplace!!! Um...thinking of ya'll the whole time of course!!!

Where is Bonnie? I am a little worried after her "altercation" with her dh last night. Anybody heard from her today?? Oh Bonnniiieee....where are youuuuuuu?

Um....about the proposed new cabana boy....well...uh....I think he's kinda cute.

Sure Jennifer! I can fit you in a suitcase....be ready reeeealy early on Christmas morning! I asked the kids yesterday what they were more excited about, Christmas or Disney? DD said Mom, don't ask me questions like that...I can't answer THAT! DS said, "Disney"! THAT"S my boy!!!

Wrrrrrr......Jodie makes a batch of "the holidays are comin" smoothies...walks to the center of the room and puts lots of frosty mugs full on the table of the cottage! Dig in when you get home ladies (and bother!)

Dance floor! Dance floor! I need a lot of room for my MSEP dancing you know!

Roland works for a software company - I'm not sure if it's the workers or the company itself that's cooperating with a charity. They've obviously changed the rules with these parcels - last time we did this we donated groceries to a central point and the charity divided them up into boxes. They wanted all the parcels to be identical so people didn't fight over them. That's why I've never worried about the smellies before. We have to pack flour, sugar and coffee, then things like Nutella, meat, cheese, toys, chocolate, toiletries. I'm definitely sending a toothbrush and toothpaste. One thing I really like is that they suggest filling up all the spaces in the box with sweeties (candy bonbons?). I think that's a brilliant idea - much more kid-friendly than bubble wrap!

Thanks for the help ya yas! We have come up with one other idea - liquid soap, it's in bottles. I'll just have to see how sturdy the bottles are, don't want it to burst. Otherwise it'll have to be the double bag, I don't know anyone with a vaccuumy thingy.

I've never been to the WL. I'd like to though. Hint, hint!

Marilyn - I can't think of a single houseboy suggestion - must be time for the snoring to begin! Maybe I'll dream of just the right one...

waaahooo!!! I'm going with the Dream family to WDW!!!! (you do pass through MI on the way right?)

I'll take an early smoothie!!! I'm winding down from a VERY productive day. Smoothie would be perfect!!! When I bought my YC exchange I got myself a warmer and some tarts (Tooo many yummy sents to get just one or two candles!! Gotta go cheap for variety!!) Paige and I are warming up a spiced pumpkin in our knitting room. I'm in the holiday spirit too!!!!

One of the changes I made is I moved Paige's desk into my knitting room so we could be with each other while still doing our own thing. Have I told you all she's a writer? She started reading when she was 4. Dictated her first story to Ed when she was 2 1/2 and has been writing her own stories since she was 5. ILs refinished and old desk for her for her birthday last year and it looks perfect in this room!!

Gotta go put the veggies in the stew.....

BTW, my son's MS principal (who aburptly quit his job 2.5 weeks ago), was arrested over the weekend for embezzling from the kids' magazine/fundraiser fund!! He had been doing this since 1999 - when my DD was in the MS!

Turns out he was having an affair and needed the funds for that, as well as gambling debts! Rumor has it that a teacher at the MS is the "other woman."
We sure have all the excitement for being a boonie- town, don't we!!

DH had Tuesdays off. I must have really scared the crap out of him last night with the threat to put his things on the porch, because when I came home from work this afternoon, he had a candlelight dinner waiting for me. He has NEVER done that in the last 24 years. He is not out of the doghouse yet, but I notice that he has disappeared and is leaving me alone to DIS....

Wow, where to start? I am happy for all the kids who had great things happen to them. I am glad that Jennifer's DD took the change well and that Jodie is raising a Disneyphile. Betty seems to be raising her son as perfect husband material (you go girl!)
Jeannie looks like a sweetie and I think I couldn't have picked a more perfect apprentice. After all, the girl likes Survivor, the Bachelor, and Frontier House! What more could you ask for in a padawan? I used to have Sherrie's phone number, if I find it again, I will call and check on her.

Nancy, could I please have your recipe for whoopie pies? thanks! Carol, I think it is great what your husband and co. are doing for the kids in Eastern Europe. I have been thinking of donating my Mickey Mouse soaps and shampoo from my last stay at POR to a homeless shelter.

Marilyn, what can I say? You are just a big marshmallow underneath that tough exterior!

I think letting Kim and Apolo have the basement in the mansion is a good idea. That way, they could use the storm entrance and I'd never have to look at Soul Patch Man. And Kimmie could keep him all to herself! Yep, that's it. Kimmie wouldn't have to share!

Jennifer, I rearranged my living room on Sunday and my bedroom last week. I think it is one of those when the leaves start to turn or the flowers start blooming, it is time to rearrange the house.

PS-Jodie! I can't believe the box got there that quickly but am glad that it made you ROTFLOL. I thought you could use it after the whole sniper mess. You only think that we will be great friends because you realize that I am just as ornery as you.
