Not a problem in the cities, besides.. I plan to drive in the next year -- once we get settled.
There's a decent bus system into the city plus we have the metro train with all sorts of expansion planned. It's much cheaper to ride there than it is here.. eek!

And I have my sis and other family in the area. J will start driving GULP next year too.. wahhhhhhh when did that happen?? sniffle sniffle

Just think... he can run all the errands you dont want to. my mom was forever sending me out to do her stuff. Go to the bank for me, run to the store.. Do this... Do that... not that I minded of course.. I could drive and listen to whatever I wanted on the radio!

More like this.. DONT WRECK THE CAR!! I am the most paranoid person in the world, and I scared stiff at the thought of my kids driving. But I did it, and survived... So Im sure my kids will too. I hope. At least I can cry into my pillow until they get home.

yes i witnessed this first hand on several occasions last june...you scared the heeby bajeebies out of me more times than I care to remember...and i kept thinking why is she panicking so much...her dh is right there i mean RIGHT THERE...lord i thought you were going to have a heart attack and give me one in the process....

I trust Justin a lot, he's a good kid.

Noah is too.. but he needs a bit more reminding to stay on track.


They are both homebodies... but I plan to change that in the summer.

Justin is going to tackle the bus system to see his friends. He's more than old enough and less work for us to pick them all up in our vehicle that only seats 5. We had to do two trips to get them all to a movie theatre-- argggggggggh!

When Mikalah just JUMPED into the pool! OH MY LORD. We still talk about that! I still dont think my dh has recovered from it, he panics at the thought of taking her swimming again. I have lightened up since she is older, but man.. That was definitely in our top 10 of scary moments. Dh had nightmares about it afterwards. He could see her under the water.. Kinda running in place. But he wouldnt be able to get her. Fortunately he DID get her!

Never fails, at least one of your children has to scare you at the pool.. it's like some law of the cosmos.

OMG... She just took off running and jumped in the pool! Dh was standing there in the pool with Alex.. But he about dropped dead. I could just see the panic on him, even after he was holding her. I had to give him props for not bursting into tears at the pool though. If you all hadnt been there, I know he would have.

yeah but the thing about it was that Im sitting there and looking straight at mikalah and her dh is in the pool with his body turned towards her and i mean right there....and all of a sudden when she went in megan starts freaking out and he got her no problem but she scared me to death...it took me a few minutes to recover too im severely afraid for those 2 kids when they start driving...megan whatever you do DONT RIDE IN THE CAR WITH THEM because you will cause them to crash...i swear to god

I have no plans to. Thats what drivers ed is for. And daddy! my mom never rode with me, heck, she still doesnt! I have been driving for a while and she still makes me nervous!

I love that show! Even dh likes to watch it, and he is NOT into cooking shows.

I've always wondered if it would be a good thing to have in a science classroom. He did a whole thing about molecules bouncing around as it got hotter, it was to make a roast using a huge ceramic pot over it. It really helped illustrate how the molecules move around.

Right now he has a giant meringue pie model.. looks funny!

I saw an interview with him once, and he was saying that he was never really interested in science OR cooking. I just thought that was interesting.

ah yes now i remember...you had on a grey sweat jacket right???? that was a warm spell ....its usually not that warm during feb....but i remember i was in long sleeves and long pants that night so yeah you should be fine wearing shorts at night

Good lord, no! I look like death warmed over in gray, never wear it!

I had a bright red Mickey sweatjacket, so if you don't remember it I must not have been wearing it.
