OK, so I thought from the commercials that Enchanted might be a "chick flick"?! No?! Would DS like it? I of course would love any opportunity to see Patrick Dempsey... Speaking of....did any of you happen to watch the T-giving episode of Gray's Anatomy?! OMG that ending - I knew something was going to happen - but that made me jump in my seat big time:eek: !!! And "To be continued in 2 weeks"...Aarrrgghhh! I hate that!!:headache:

Katie - yay for you! :cheer2: Eleven days! I am a month & 3 weeks still....... Is this a trip you take with or without the kids?! Aren't they in school - do u pull 'em out?

Pretty much finished off most of the leftovers this evening - cranberries and all. (We took a break from eating them last nite.) I think I am going to make a pot pie tomorrow evening with what's left of the turkey. I went back to the grocery store today & I told them at the front office that the darned thing was frozen not fresh - they gave me 1/2 of my money back!:woohoo:

Yay, Annie on the turkey refund. Good for you!

Yep, this is the 4th year Ive done this semi-solo, early December trip. My Mom is coming with me and she came 1 other time too. But without the kids or DH, its "solo". :cool1: I'm meeting up with some Dis friends a couple times...Sat night we are going to PI and theres a big Jellyrolls meet on Sunday night. :woohoo:

The kids wil be missing 2 days of school on our Feb trip though. I don't like to take them out, and probably wouldnt for a full week unless I had a really good reson to, but I can justify a couple days. Colt is no problem, he practically teaches the class, but Cam struggles so I'd rather him not miss too much.

HA!
Publix gave me my money back for my turkey too!!!...i told them the darn thing wouldn't cook! And it was "mealy".. it was only $11.50, but they gave it all back to me...

I am not sure about Enchanted...it was great because we (Kate and I) are such Disney freaks, we got it..Rick thought it was very funny..but I don't think he "got" alot of the humor of Disney laughing at itself!

Morning!!

I no likey working after 4 days off!! No fun!!

Kate is getting her glasses today..she is so excited! LOL!

Good for you too, Betsy. Well, Im sorry the turkey wasn't good, but good going to get your money back. :goodvibes

Yeah, getting back to the routine (and diet) is tough. :headache:

I hope Kate's excitement lasts. :wizard:

Even with the holiday..I have made it to 44lbs! WOO HOO!!!

I am sooo not wanting to work today...why isn't it time to go home yet!!

Hummmmm....yes, this back to work thing pretty much sucks big time!:lmao: I had been hanging onto a few more days to use as emergency time in case somebody died or sick leave in case DS got sick or something but I can't carry all of it over into next year so I am also taking 1/2 day on Fri 12/7, and full days on Fri 12/14, & Fri 12/21 (and my office is closed both Mon & Tues the 24th & 25th so that gives me 5 days off in a row:woohoo: ) and then I'm also taking Mon 12/31! I can't wait - that means only working 2 full weeks between now and the end of the year. I figure the office will end up closing early on New Years Eve but I had to pick dates to take that weren't taken by others yet... I am only allowed to carry over 5 days - which I hate. I would rather stockpile leave for a big snowstorm or a winter vacation or an unexpected illness or something - but thems the rules here.

OK, but so you wouldn't say Enchanted is just for girls huh? I thought it might be girlish... We rarely go to the movies...

Pumpkin soup in the crock pot --smells good at least - started with a recipe, didn't have all the stuff, didn't like the rosemary, added somethin' else, keepin' fingers crossed:upsidedow

Good for you on the weight loss, Bets! I went back to the gym this morning. I made the mistake of stepping on the treadmill that automatically shows you your weight. STOOPID STOOPID machine. Welll, at least I have a goal for July.

working on Peeps Page update. Just need some stuff for the Links Page. Did anyone listen to the "100 Words for B:eek:  bs" ? I thought it was funny (and a LOT:eek: cleaner than the South Park stuff I was thinking about :rolleyes1

YES! Good for you Betsy!! That's awesome!

I listened to the 100 words for b_ _bs and thought it was hysterical! As a matter of fact, I copied the link to send to my old boss 'cuz he is a b_ _b man (I worked for the man for 18 years - so I knew a lot about him) and I thought he would love it - that's when he called me to tell me about his wife dying.:sad2: 'Cuz he got my email and thought he should tell me. What's that old saying about open mouth insert foot (b_ _b)?!

eew. bad timing.

Pumpkin soup. Pumpkin soup. Pumpkin soup. Guess I need to learn that when the recipe calls for O-R-E-G-A-N-O you put in oregano and not T-H-Y-M-E. The two are NOT interchangeable it turns out.:scared1: . The nachos we had for dinner were delicious :rotfl2:

Happy Birthday to my Beano!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEANO!!!!:wizard: Hope you have a great day!

44, Bets??? WOW! You are on fire! Now if you could stop sending it my way Id appreciate it. ;)

LOL on the soup, Cheri. Glad the nachos were good. ;)

Enjoy your time off Annie! Can I hire you for a few days? Between my trip, Cam's birthday, and Christmas all coming up in a 3 week span, I really need someone organized to help me get ready for everything.:scared:

IT'S HERE, IT'S FINALLY HERE! Beano is older than me by a lot!!! :cool1:

HAPPY BIRTHDY!!!

 Happy Birthday Sir Beano!!:cool1: Are you another one who's 29 (again)?! Hope you have a great day! I'm sure RJ will plan a special dinner and bake a beautiful cake that we will all be jealous of!!:bday:

Sorry 'bout the soup Cheri...I think you can exchange Allspice for Ginger and vice versa...try that next time!:goodvibes I'd probably rather eat the nachos anyway! With gobs of melted cheese, lots of sour cream & guac. & jalapenos!:dance3:

CamColt - you are a brave woman for 2 reasons. 1) Leaving DH in charge for more than a few hours! I could never do that! and 2) Going away during THE busiest month of the year! (oh, and what exactly are jellyrolls anyway? is that a secret club?!)

Where's TRM? Thought she would be back from her weekend by now?! No?!

Betsy - I must say that i was sad to see the cranberries go...DH said the pecans were the perfect touch! Thanks again! :thumbsup2

Leaving work a bit early today for THE annual dr. appt. What is it you say Cheri? Blech?! I can't spell that!:)

LOL! He does pretty well on his own. He was in the army so I credit that for making him be able to take care of himself. Of course, I leave out the clothes the kids have to wear each day to school, what to pack, who needs a lunch what day, etc... But he gets by. Usually when I call the day before Im coming home they tell me they are cleaning the house. :rotfl: I hate to think of what it looks like by the end of my trip. ;)

Jellyrolls is a dueling piano bar on the Boardwalk. It's a blast. (Or are you asking what jellyrolls actually are???). ;)

:lmao: My DH would oversleep every day - I could call to get them up but he wouldn't hear the phone... So both of my boys would be screwed 'cuz DS would miss the bus. And DH would probably forget to make DS take a shower...so YUK! The whole house would need aired out! And eating...forget it. Neither of them would eat all week if I didn't put it in front of them...no, wait, they would order pizza every day. Even a trip to McDonald's would be too much effort!:rotfl2: DH would want it DELIVERED whatever "it" might be!! :rotfl:

I asked what Jellyrolls was 'cuz you said in one of your other posts that there would "be a big Jellyrolls meet on Sun." - I've never been to the Boardwalk so I had no idea what that really meant!:goodvibes

Wow you all have been busy!

Thanks for missing me Annie!

First of all: HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEANO!!

Cheri - LOL about the soup. I too would have enjoyed the nachos.

Bets - Congratulations on your continued weight loss. I am watching Slim in 6 DVD sets on Ebay as we speak! Fun Christmas present eh?

Let's see...what have the TRM people been up to? Saw the Beano peeps!! :woohoo: That's exciting so good to see them all and The G's too. Sad the cell phone ate the picture though. But boy can RJ text message! I am out of my league on that one.

Went to ranch. Did not mark and brand as Neils brother who is a firefighter was up at the station waiting for word on wether he would have to go to So Cal. He did not but did not make it home for cow work. So we here in Tracy are on call I guess to go back sometime before Christmas or maybe they will just wait until we are there for Christmas....:confused3 They did get to give all the cows their winter shots. I stayed in with the baby. And was kinda bored actually. My dad enjoyed his visit from Kansas. He went home today. Picked up truck from Ford dealer today. Time for its
25,000 mile "gotta replace some engine parts" visit.:sad2: Coil #6 and spark plugs. Of course they found a few things that need attention....how come that always happens? Told them no. After the holiday dudes. Got a tax payment to make in December, christmas, and a cruise to pay for. Brakes can wait. OK cannot wait too long but....geezThen mom calls in the morning and says she has cardio and oncologist check ups today.(mom is a breast cancer survivor) Good. Check ups. Check. At 1:45 I am walking to get Ryan from school and mom calls to say while at cardio appt - had some sort of weird EKG spike so the dr sent her to the ER. "I am at the ER, they are hooking me up to EKG machine, my cell phone is going dead. Bob (my stepdad) is on his way here I will have him call you when he gets here. And then....nuthin'.....dead phone line.....

WHAT!?

So may just be on a plane later today to San Diego. Stepdad did call he is in route. Says everything sounds "non-urgent" but he will let me know.

So it's been a relatively boring day here.:headache:

 I'll go do laundry!:rotfl:
