Have fun! Skipped out on that show this year due to our new arrival.

Speaking of DS, he and I are just hanging and watching the Red Sox. He seems into it, which is good, won't take too much arm twisting to make him a Sox fan.

I also caught him in the hospital nursery illegally video-taping the other babies cries and feeding patterns, so he's clearly a Belichick disciple, which means he'll like the Pats too... Score.

:thumbsup2

Be careful watching the Sox with infants. In 2004, I had my 1 month old up with me during Game 4 of the ALCS. She started fussing, so I picked her up and started bouncing her. Then Dave Roberts stole second.

I couldn't put her down until the last game of the World Series, for luck.

Hunker down East Coast Dads and keep your families safe!!! Thinking of you guys while we watch the storm on TV. Watching Don's live feed while it lasts!

Paul, what's the little bacon lover's name?

He's also Paul. The Third. Nickname's still up in the air.

I'm also working on a Bacon-flavored baby formula. I think it's a million dollar idea...

You did the right thing. You did the right thing. ;)

Actually...in the Agency infrastructure, I outrank Gibbs...:goodvibes:goodvibes
You might outrank him, but I don't think anybody tells Leroy Jethro Gibbs what to do.:rotfl2:

I've been in a meeting all day (yes on a Saturday). Not caught up with news on the hurricane and where it is now, but I hope everyone is staying safe.

Don, I just want to say thanks for the link to the video. I popped in and checked it a few times throughout the evening. For this midwesterner it has been very interesting to see, although I'm sure it's a bit more on the intense/scary side for those of you actually going through it. I'm starting to think a lot of the Dads on the East Coast must be among the millions without power since there hasn't been any activity here in a few hours. I hope everyone stays safe through the night.

I agree, thoughts and prayers for all the east coast dads affected by Irene. Thinking about you all as I see the coverage in the TV. Take care and be safe.

good evening from hurrican irene!!! its been raining to beat the band here for about 3 hours. the wind is picking up. they are still saying 4 to 8 inches of rain, which we just got 7 inches last week. the wind for us in the bad part, ifstarts knocking down trees on power lines. i got the extending down spouts on and the water dams up in the basement. i hope mark is ok in deleware, they are getting pounded with rain and i dont think he left. my brother who was evacuated from the outer banks talked to his neighbor who stayed. my bros. house has no damage except for junk in the back yard but had no storm surge.:thumbsup2 they have no power put hes in a hotel near wilson north carolina. well, im off to bed, hopefully the power stays on and god bless you guys east of me, well be praying for yas tonight. take care.:thumbsup2

Hey guys, hope everyone is staying safe in irenes path. We are on our way down to the World and decided to take I75 down this time to stay a good ways away from the coast. We are in a Hampton inn in Knoxville TN with free WiFI so I thought I would check in. We decided to stay a night in Cocoa beach. So we have a good bit of driving tomorrow, getting through TN and then the great state of Georgia. I will try to keep my speed to a min probably won't be too hard driving the Minivan:rotfl2:

Again, stay safe everyone.

Getting the Irene Pre-Show now. Rain has picked up and getting some gusts. Looking like the next landfall will be a little bit to our west tomorrow morning.

stay safe everybody.

I was at the Brewers game tonight (Go Brewers!!) and they had NFL on one of the TV's there. What happened to the Pats?? I know it is preseason and all but It was the Lions. You guys were making them look good.

Been quiet for about 10 minutes now, when I got up at 4:45 the wind was howling and the rain was coming down in buckets. We still have power, it went out about 1:30 this morning for about 5 minutes. Praying that all the other east coast Dads are doing as well.

Still safe here... no damage. But then again... this is just the beginning of the ride. Should be getting hurricane force winds right after lunch. Glad this is only a cat 1... cause I'd be out of here if it was any more.

HURRICANE OWNAGE! A first! :lmao::lmao:

Glad to hear no major damage so far and prayers for everyone.

Morning All! Gearing up for a full day of Irene. A lot of rain currently, with some winds, but nothing major. Not suppose to hit big until about noon-6 pm. Lets hope we keep power... :goodvibes

You're welcome, Andy. The webcam idea came to me as I was cleaning up the property ahead of the storm. With most of my family up in Ohio it was an easy solution to allow them to check in on us. Too bad the webcam could not display the true power of the storm. There is nothing like sitting through 12 hours of intense wind and rain... wondering if a tree is going to come down at any time... or a roof blowing off. Thank God the storm weakened before it hit land or this storm would have cause major devastation all up the coast.

As for our property... initial evaluation shows we have zero damage. Just a bunch of leaves and branches in the yard. Thank you God!:cool1:

I'm very glad to hear you have made it safely through the night, Dave! We're still praying for those up the east coast who will be getting the rest of Irene.
